Keep Those Votes Coming
There are lots of polls and things to vote for on the interwebs, including several “favorite” polls for late-night talk shows and hosts. In recent years, relative newcomers like Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert and the Jimmys (Fallon and Kimmel) have outpolled veterans like Jay Leno and David Letterman, thanks to fans who rally to cast their votes. This fall, we’re hoping Craig Ferguson can come out on top in a pair of votes: AdWeek’s Hot List and the People’s Choice Awards. At this moment, Craig leads the AdWeek poll by about 10 percent, so every vote counts to keep him ahead of Colbert before the deadline of November 25th. Thanks to the RSA’s Daun for the reminder! And for the People’s Choice, don’t forget there are two rounds of voting. Craig has been listed as a candidate for the third time in the Late Night Host category. You can vote for him in the preliminary round from now until October 31st. If he is named one of the five finalists, the second round of votes will be cast from mid-November to mid-December. We’ll keep you posted.
Ring Bell for Service
The RSA’s @HoboRobot remembers the Porky Pig and Sylvester the Cat classic short Claws for Alarm, where the hapless pair spend the night in a haunted hotel. They ring the bell several times at the front desk for service, perhaps hoping “Jerry” will answer!
Youthful Indiscretions
In this monologue from 2006, Craig recalls getting in trouble as a kid.
