Colbert to Host Late Show
CBS has tapped comedian and satirist Stephen Colbert to become the new host of The Late Show when David Letterman retires in 2015. The Los Angeles Times and many other outlets are reporting the news, which includes the detail that Colbert has signed a five-year agreement. Further details will continue to appear in the coming weeks and months, as the network settles on a direction for the show. There was no immediate word on whether Craig Ferguson will remain at The Late Late Show after his current contract expires later this year. We’ll continue to watch for developments.
Host Swap
Craig Ferguson and Drew Carey had fun on April 1st, pulling their widely-advertised April Fools Day prank by swapping shows for the day. The two appeared on the CBS daytime show The Talk to explain the idea behind the switch. One fan who had a chance to attend the taping of The Price Is Right with Craig hosting, wrote an excellent story about it on Tumblr.
Corky Reappears
The RSA’s @HoboRobot found some creative uses for old tennis balls, and remembered a low-budget puppet from The Late Late Show:

Kagan Clip
Fans who have seen Craig’s live shows will remember comedian Randy Kagan, who opened dozens of Craig’s stand up shows a few years ago. Randy has been working on a series of projects, including a web series on environmental issues. His latest show trailer gives you a taste of his humor:
