Who’s That at the Door?
Craig with Secretariat slAs Craig Ferguson wraps up his run on The Late Late Show in December, he’ll take with him one of the show’s familiar characters, Secretariat, the show’s resident horse (not a real horse). Like the familiar horses from British pantomime theater tradition, he provides comic relief to what is an already funny show. Af first, he mostly danced when summoned by the doorbell, but in recent years he has reacted to Craig, sniffed out guests in the show’s opening segment, interacted with Geoff Peterson (whose operator Josh Robert Thompson provides the horse’s voice in the guise of Morgan Freeman), and more. As with many LLS traditions, there were a few party poopers on Twitter who started to complain about the horse, which prompted Craig to make sure Secretariat appeared on every show. Longtime fan @JuliejStewart has written a great piece about our favorite horse, and why she’ll miss him. Thanks to the RSA’s @bgrhubarb for the link!

And Corbett replied:
