Bob Thanks Craig and Friends
On Tuesday, April 30th, comedian Bob Saget hosted an evening of entertainment to benefit the Scleroderma Research Foundation featuring comedians, singers and more. Among them was Craig Ferguson, and Bob tweeted his thanks to his friends who gave their time to the cause:
Deep thanks to @MBsings @JimmyKimmel @CraigyFerg @JeffGarlin @BillBellamy @RealJeffreyRoss -Raised over 1/2 mil for http://SclerodermaResearch.org
They raised $515,000 to go toward research for the autoimmune disorder which affects an estimated 300,000 Americans, mostly women of childbearing age. Saget’s own sister lost her life to the disease at age 47. There is no cure, but researchers are finding ways to ease the pain of patients and prolong their lives. Thanks to the RSA’s Bruce for steering us to the photo from the event!
Meanwhile, one of Craig’s favorite charities, the Lollipop Theater Network, which brings first-run movies to children in hospitals for long-term treatment, is holding a donor drive. To learn more, stop by their website and decide if you’d like to contribute.
