Back in Los Angeles
Craig Ferguson and Josh Robert Thompson are back in Los Angeles, resting from last week’s stand up tour and getting ready for a new string of all-new episodes of the Late Late Show. New shows are planned from now up to the Thanksgiving holiday, when historically, the network has aired rebroadcasts of previous shows due to the expected smaller audience. Then, more new shows are expected leading into the December holiday break.
New York State of Mind
The RSA’s @MissGraoully, one of many Euroskellies who are regular readers and contributors to the website, had the chance to see Craig at Radio City Music Hall in New York City last weekend.
[stextbox id=”custom”]What was an impulsive purchase of a ticket for a show at Radio City Music Hall in New York City ended up in my first step on US soil, for a week of vacation full of Craig Ferguson events and RSA meetings. My English vocabulary is still limited, so here how I can simply describe the last week: AWESOME!!!
Aside from visiting this incredibly beautiful city, I had my copy of American on Purpose dedicated by the author himself outside of David Letterman’s show (for more details, see @003lili’s video), a picture with His Chatiness after his appearance at the Paley Center and an incredible amount of laughter for a couple of days (thanks to Josh too).
I’m also grateful that I’ve been able to exchange some words with Rebecca and Michael who, amazingly, seemed to remember me from Paris, but I don’t know if it’s a good thing or not LOL (it’s a joke!). Good memories.
But the most emotional thing for me was finally being able to meet some of the people with whom I have shared my mornings for more than a year, watching the Late Late Show “live” in my European time zone and tweeting naughty comments (the best way to start a day).
I want to thank everybody (you know who you are) for making me feel part of a big family so far away from home. So much charming and adorable people gathered around a same interest. That’s the #CraigyFergEffect. It was a real pleasure to met you all and I hope it will happen again soon in some new RSA adventures![/stextbox]
Rochester Colors
Following Craig’s two shows at the University of Rochester on Friday night, the school posted a photo of Craig on stage wearing the school colors.
Hi-Yo Secretariat, Away!
You can always count on the Internet to come up with something that you never even knew you needed. The RSA’s @ScottishLover96 was looking around Instagram and found a great image of Craig and Secretariat, based on a famous painting. The original is called “Napoleon Crosses the Alps,” by Jacques-Louis David. Does anyone know who came up with the modified version? We’d like to give them credit. Let us know.
Super Bowl Special
In case you missed it last week amid all of the excitement of Craig’s stand up tour, CBS officially announced that Craig will be doing the Late Late Show from the Super Bowl in New Orleans on February 3rd, 2013. The last time Craig was at the Super Bowl was in 2007, and he did the show live after the game. We have not heard whether the new show will be live or pre-recorded but we’re keeping an eye out for details about when and where they’ll be needing an audience, and we’ll keep you posted. For now, enjoy Craig’s last Super Bowl show, with thanks to the RSA’s @keepintouch0:
