Oh the IronyAfter ten years as a late-night talk show host, Craig Ferguson has finally been nominated for a People’s Choice Award! The first few years, he wasn’t even on the nomination ballot and had to be written in by fans. And for the past few years, he missed out on nominations as satirists Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Bill Maher and others have edged out more traditional hosts like Jay Leno to reach the top five. Now, just two months before ending his run on The Late Late Show, Craig has picked up a nomination. We wouldn’t be surprised if votes from RSA super fan @KarMerCoy alone put him over the top.
Craig tweeted:
I’ve been nominated for a @peopleschoice award for Late Night Talk Show Host. I suggest lovers of irony should vote for me. Let’s win this!
So, hobo faithful, you know what this means: The Robot Skeleton Army must go on the march and vote like crazy between now and December 4. You can vote on the late-night talk show host page, and importantly, you can vote as many times as you want. Last year, something like a half a billion votes were cast (compared to the estimated 90 million votes in Tuesday’s midterm elections). Craig is competing against Conan O’Brien, David Letterman, Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel. The winner will be announced during the People’s Choice Awards ceremony on January 7th, live on CBS.
Vote early, vote often, and vote like crazy to avoid disappointment!
Back in ‘Cleveland’
The new season of Hot In Cleveland begins Wednesday night on TVLand. Craig’s character Simon will be back this season, as one of Joy‘s (Jane Leeves) many love interests.
Giving Up on CluesTom Bergeron and Jennie Garth talk about when it is time to give up on Celebrity Name Game. To add insult to injury, the crew accidentally misspelled Tom’s name in the clip.
