The Earlier Late Late Show Long before there was a Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (or even his predecessors Craig Kilborn and Tom Snyder) there has been a Late Late Show in Ireland. It began in 1962 and has become the iconic television talk show there, and the flagship program of the RTÉ network. It is both a serious show, with political figures as frequent guests and weighty social issues up for discussion; and a comedy, music and variety show like its American counterparts. Here’s a clip from the last minutes of the show one night. Then-host Pat Kenny wrapped up a conversation with comedian Jimmy Carr and tried to give away a trip as a prize to a viewer while Jimmy cracked jokes all the while: Video courtesy: cupidstuntblog Early October Holidays Saturday, October 8th is Yom Kippur (started Friday at sundown), Alvin C.
