Locks of Love
A railing on the Pont des Arts bridge in Paris collapsed this week under the weight of hundreds of padlocks, reports Mashable.com. You may recall Craig Ferguson drawing attention to the bridge during his visit to Paris a few years ago, explaining that couples put their names on a lock, clamp it to the bridge and toss the key in the river as a symbol of their enduring love. The city’s mayor is seeking suggestions to keep the bridge safe without completely banning locks from the bridge.
