Reaction To New Set
We’re starting to see the first reactions to the new set for the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. One writer and clearly a fan of the show from TheOuthousers.com “couldn’t be happier,” and TVGuide.com thought that in the opening bit, Regis was being serious (silly TV Guide). Mostly what we’ve heard skellies chatting about is that the new floor helps the lighting, that they will have to get used to seeing guests enter from the right instead of the left and that Craig looked good in his two-piece suit. On Tuesday’s show, a comedian tries out the new stage for the first time and later, we’ll get to see musical guests perform there as well. Embrace change, fellow skellies! On Tuesday, Craig tweeted:
2nd show in new studio tonight. I think I’m finally approaching the vibe I’ve been after for years. Jungian expressionist Heehaw.
Meanwhile, the RSA’s @hoborobot has already captioned one new feature of the set with Geoff Peterson‘s comment.
Nice Guy
In a recent interview with Deadline.com, Jimmy Kimmel is asked about Craig and gives a brief response.
That Naughty Rachel Ray
Craig and Rachel Ray pushed the boundaries a little bit in their most recent interview with some single, double and triple-entendres. The folks at DailyGlow.com didn’t quite get the jokes, but the people at Eater.com sure did. All of them.
New Stage Time Lapse
At the start of Monday’s show, CBS treated us to a time-lapse video of the process of taking down the old Late Late Show set in Studio 58 and setting up the new one in Studio 56. Here is the clip, showing many weeks of work condensed into 40 seconds, plus the opening portion of Monday’s monologue. Our apologies in advance for the embedded commercial:

Tuesday on the Late Late Show, Craig talks with TV/radio host Larry King and we’ll see a performance by comedienne Michelle Buteau. On Wednesday, watch for actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan and actress Fiona Gubelmann. Larry King tweeted on Tuesday:
@CraigyFerg here I come! Looking forward to seeing you on your show tonight and on my show.next week. Does this mean we’re dating?
The show to which King refers is his new online talk show on ora.tv. The tweet was later deleted and we have not seen a listing for Craig to appear on King’s show yet but when we do, we’ll pass it along.
