Pre-order Craig’s New Memoir A decade after the launch of Craig Ferguson‘s best-selling autobiography American On Purpose, his newest memoir, Riding The Elephant, is due to hit stores in May of 2019. For those of you who like to get in line early, you can pre-order the book now on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and other retailers. As Craig described a while ago, the book takes the form of a series of essays, modeled after his monologues on The Late Late Show from around 2008-2010, woven together in a narrative which explores some of his more philosophical thoughts in recent years. From the jacket notes: “Craig Ferguson has defied the odds his entire life. He has failed when he should have succeeded and succeeded when he should have failed. The fact that he is neither dead nor in a locked facility (at the time of printing) is something of a miracle in itself. In Craig’s candid and revealing memoir, readers will get a look into the mind and recollections of the unique and twisted Scottish American who became a national hero for pioneering the world’s first TV robot skeleton sidekick and reviving two dudes in a horse suit dancing as a form of entertainment. In the book, there are some stories that are too graphic for television, too politically incorrect for social media, or too meditative for a stand-up comedy performance. Craig discusses his deep love for his native Scotland, examines his profound psychic change brought on by fatherhood, and looks at aging and mortality with a perspective that he was incapable of as a younger man. Each story is strung together in a colorful tapestry that ultimately reveals a complicated man who has learned to process and even enjoy the unusual trajectory of his life.” New HTTYD3 Trailer Arrives A new trailer for the DreamWorks animated feature film How To Train Your Dragon 3, featuring Craig’s voice as Gobber the Belch has arrived, reports Collider.com. It gives fans a look at the final installment of the trilogy, scheduled to reach theaters in late February 2019. The first full-length trailer was released earlier this year. More Standup Ahead The fall leg of Craig’s Hobo Fabulous Tour resumes on October 18th and runs through mid-December. More stand up dates are expected in the spring along with some time away from the stage to promote How To Train Your Dragon and the new memoir. You can see the full list of venues, dates, times and links for tickets on our Live Comedy Tour page. Book early to avoid disappointment! Missiles Miss In this monologue from The Late Late Show, Craig talks about North Korea’s missiles that miss the mark. Video courtesy: YouTube Want more news about Craig Ferguson?
