March Madness Approaches
The NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament returns to CBS next week, which means the network’s late night schedule will be happening even later on game nights. In past years, the games have lasted until around midnight eastern time, which means your local news, Late Night with David Letterman, the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and the Shamwow commercials may be broadcast an hour or more later than usual.
A close look at our Guests page shows that the upcoming schedule contains a few “freeze-dried” shows, which have been taped in advance and saved over the past couple of weeks. There are also some “to be announced” shows, which will most likely be re-runs. According to the audience listings we’ve seen, no tapings are scheduled at CBS Television City for a while. As the guest listings are updated, we’ll be sure to post them.
Six Weeks and Counting
Craig Ferguson‘s west coast stand up comedy tour kicks off in just six short weeks. Do you have your tickets yet? A few of the stops on the tour are in smaller venues, which means fewer tickets are available. Book early to avoid disappointment! For the latest information about show locations, dates, times and ticket links, our Live Comedy Tour page has everything you need.
TARDIS Art
You’ve seen a plastic desktop TARDIS, you’ve seen smarphone covers made to look like the iconic Doctor Who time-traveling device and you’ve seen a woman in Germany build her own full-sized one. How about a stained-glass TARDIS? BoingBoing.net found one.
Feel like a hockey puck? There’s an app for that
If you’ve ever wanted to have the acerbic comedy of Don Rickles available on demand no matter where you are, it has never been easier. The pop culture website iconvsicon.com reports that Rickles has just released the “Mr. Warmth App” for iPhone and Android, which includes jokes and wry insults with the touch of a button. Among the celebrities to get the Rickles treatment is Craig Ferguson. Thanks to the RSA’s @CozyHobo for the link!
Lynn Having Fun
Lynn Ferguson‘s new web series, which takes a humorous look at the day in history, features different actors and comedians each day. As you’ll see in the March 9th edition, Lynn herself takes charge.
