Craig’s New Look
Back at home in Los Angeles and back on Twitter, Craig Ferguson sent a photo which he described as his “new look.”
twitpic.com/btays6Â Here it is! My new look for 2013. Take that other latenight douches. #nowirehangers
We’re not quite sure where this look will take him but we’ll be watching the all-new episodes of the Late Late Show starting this week.
Late-Night Host Extended
Every January, the television networks gather for an event called the Winter TV Press Tour, where they talk with reporters from the Television Critics Association about their plans for the coming year. It was NBC’s turn on Monday. Among the big announcements was world the contract for Tonight Show host Jay Leno has been extended beyond 2014. While a specific expiration date was not mentioned, network executives indicated that they were pleased to have Leno, Jimmy Fallon and Carson Daly forming their late-night lineup. The website TheCelebrityCafe.com and the Washington Post reported on the discussion.
In a world where the networks strive for parity, Leno’s contract extension may delay not only Jimmy Fallon’s expected promotion, but perhaps David Letterman‘s departure. Both Letterman and Craig Ferguson’s contracts are up on 2014. We’ll keep an eye on developments and keep you posted.
Knock, Knock
The RSA’s @cozyhobo came up with the answer to the famous “banana/orange” knock-knock joke, with a practical ending to the show.
Three Bears with Craig
Craig brought along some sounds effects artists to accompany him in a reading of the classic children’s story “The Three Bears,” complete with some fantastic ad-libs:
