Morgan Mania
The voice of Geoff Peterson, Josh Robert Thompson‘s spot-on impression of Morgan Freeman has earned him lots of respect, including from the actor himself. When Freeman stopped by the studio last week to tape an appearance, Josh captured a photo and tweeted it with the simple caption, “I win.” You’re absolutely right, Josh. In fact, that was just one of two big wins for Josh. The other came when he got a classic zinger from none other than upcoming guest Don Rickles. Josh tweeted:
Met @DonRickles today. He looked at Geoff, then at me and said, “How do ya like that? A dummy puppeteering a dummy.” Life = complete
Reiner’s Right
Legendary comedian Carl Reiner can hardly keep up with all of the late-night comedy on his television, but seems to enjoy it all, as he tweeted:
Kimmel, Leno, Letterman, Fallon, Conan,Ferguson–watch, switch, smile, switch, laugh, switch, doze–It’s tiring to be an avid viewer.
Late-Night Shuffle
The Wall Street Journal has joined the chorus of late-night comedy speculation, as it appears NBC will be trading Jay Leno for Jimmy Fallon at 11:30pm sometime next year.
Late Late Show guest Sarah Chalke will soon star a new ABC sitcom called How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life). As The Hollywood Reporter explains, after a long wait, the show will debut on April 3rd.
Block Stock
LLS guest Lawrence Block‘s novel A Walk Among the Tombstones is being adapted into a film. The Hollywood trade publication Variety reports the movie will star some big names including Liam “Quickly, there’s no time” Neeson, Mark “Married to Kelly Ripa” Consuelous and Dan “Why did you have to leave the show so soon” Stevens.
