Craig Gets (Temporary) House Band
As Craig Ferguson said on the Late Late Show recently, even though he doesn’t have a house band like many late night shows, he’d be happy to have Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora to be the band, naked and playing the harp. Now, it appears Craig is getting his wish, or at least part of it. Sambora has agreed to appear on the show to play Craig in and out of segments on the show during the first week of December, provided that he can also play some songs from his upcoming album. Several media outlets have picked up on the story including the Seattle Post-Intelligencer and The Futon Critic. The story was first reported in Variety by Cynthia Littleton, who will be on Friday’s show as a guest to promote her new book.

Sweet Home, Chicago
Craig Ferguson appears live and in person at the Chicago Theater on Thursday evening, with Josh Robert Thompson as his opening act. We are told that a handful of tickets remain available at the box office. The main floor is sold out but some balcony seats remain available. On Friday, Craig heads to Washington, DC for a pair of shows at the Warner Theatre, which will be recorded for his next comedy special. Both shows there are getting closer to selling out. You can get ticket information using our Live Comedy Tour page.

On Wednesday, the president of Craig’s production company, Rebecca Tucker, tweeted a photo of Craig & Company hitting the road:

Chicago here we come ! pic.twitter.com/4M0vEC3H

On the trip to Chicago, Craig was tweeting, first from the plane about his tour assistant:

37000ft. @philcottone next to me watching Rocky on his iPad. I’m listening to French hip hop & watching. It works pretty well. #mcsolaar

Then from the bus about Josh, correcting his spelling a couple of times:

On bus from airport into Chicago. @joshrthomson wants us to stop at Hooters. No way. #yesway #herecomedaplayaz #theresofine // I mean #theyresofine // Also @joshrthompson

Are you going to see the show in Chicago? Will you be in Washington on Friday? Please tell us your story and we’d be happy to share it with the rest of the robot skeleton army. Craig’s fans from around the country have sent us stories, blog posts and pictures (no flash photos or videos, please). We especially like to see photos as soon as possible after a show, so fans can see Craig for themselves. You can send us your story using our Contact Us page. You can attach photos there as well, or use our new Flickr photo page to upload your pictures. Or if you have your own blog or website, you can always tweet us a link, which we’ll post here. We hope you have a great time!

People’s Choice

Finalists in each category for the People’s Choice Awards will be announced on Thursday. Craig was eligible for nomination in the category of Favorite Late Night Talk Show host during the preliminary round of voting, which ended earlier this month. If he makes the top five, voting will soon be opened and we’ll pass along a link.
