DVR Alert: The start of Thursday’s Late Late Show is delayed “in your region” approximately 21 minutes due to extended coverage of the Republican National Convention. The LLS will begin at approximately 12:58am ET/11:58pm CT. The show may be on even later in Tampa, Florida due to local news extended coverage of the convention, and possibly in the Gulf Coast states due to coverage of Tropical Depression Isaac and the storm’s aftermath. New Set Inspiration The RSA’s @hoborobot has also been inspired by the new set, imagining the thoughts going on in Secretariat’s head, what might be hiding behind the red curtain on the right side of the stage, what happens when Secretariat gets no hay, and what Sandra, the rhino made of kittens, is thinking.
Craig Billboard The RSA’s @normaapril spotted a Craig Ferguson billboard in Atlantic City, promoting his October 5th show at the Tropicana. Thanks, Norma! Meanwhile, New Jersey’s nj.com, a website run by the Star-Ledger and a group of other area newspapers, has a brief article promoting Craig’s upcoming Atlantic City appearance. Tattoo Origins Craig talks often about the tattoo on his right arm, featuring a cartoon drawn by Benjamin Franklin in the Pennsylvania Gazette, symbolizing the American colonies and the need to unite against their common enemy. The RSA’s @kstene recently spotted that cartoon in her history textbook.

Desperate Bid Flaubert the pig invites the lovely ladies in the lovely sun dresses to appear on the show.
