Taping Wraps Up for Wednesday The RSA’s @simonhuet tells us that it appears taping has wrapped up for the day at the Moulin Rouge and he sent along a wonderful photo of Craig Ferguson working out front. It appears that much of the day’s taping was done inside the famed club but we’re told that Craig did a monologue outside. The French production company working with Craig sent along a photo from inside the club where the fully clothed ladies danced the can-can.  From what we’ve heard, the public was not allowed inside, so our thanks to them for giving us a look at what happened. And the RSA’s @MissGraoully sent a picture of Craig doing his monologue.  She said Kristen Bell was at the club as well.  No requests for “flash mob” audiences have been made but from what we can tell, wherever Craig goes, a crowd has been following.  She tells us that they may only be tweeting for an audience on Friday, so we’ll keep you posted. Craig himself posted a photo on Wednesday afternoon from earlier in the day:

http://yfrog.com/gz9nzqkj In Paris with my buddy.

And the folks at CBS sent along a picture Geoff, modeling in front of the Eiffel Tower. We’ll have a wrap up of the day’s events at our usual time this evening and we encourage any Craig fans who have pictures and stories about anything they’ve seen in Paris so far this week to tweet us @RSA_News or use our Contact page to send longer details. We are grateful to everyone who is contributing and giving the rest of the robot skeleton army a chance to share in the excitement!

Taping at the Tower Earlier Wednesday Some taping for the Late Late Show got underway in France on Wednesday morning!  The production company helping Craig and company sent a picture Wednesday morning, showing Craig at work taping a segment for the show near the Eiffel Tower. The RSA’s @MissGraoully sent us a picture of Craig and Sid at work on the lawn near the tower.

Also sending pictures from Paris Wednesday morning was Craig’s assistant, Rebecca Tucker who tweeted:

Hanging around are Craig’s well-traveled kangaroo bits, near the Eiffel tower! What a great way to spend the day. Rebecca sent another photo, this one of a great Craig ad on a bus.

Looks like Craig is getting some nice publicity for his week in Paris. The RSA’s @ericphilippona tells us he saw Craig and Kristen Bell at the Eiffel Tower… and learned that Craig’s Twitter has not been working and that they have been doing much of the taping indoors.  Of course, we hope to continue to see more pictures and hear from our Euroskellies in the area who might have stories to tell about what they’re seeing.  Thanks to all for your help!

ooo

No Word From the Chief on Tuesday As dusk fell on Paris Tuesday evening, there was nary a sign of our fearless leader.  Euroskellies stalked the streets for a second day, searching for any sign that the Late Late Show is taping something, somewhere.  But in the two days Craig and Company have been in Paris, it had been quiet.  Last week on the show, Craig mentioned that since the show would not be based in a single studio or theater while in France,  he would be tweeting taping locations and inviting a “flash mob” to show up to be his audience.  But since leaving Russia, neither he nor his team tweeted until Wednesday morning.  If any taping has been going on prior to then, it had been without an audience…  perhaps of opening segments, comedy sketches and maybe even some interviews.

Oliver Giraud

Information has come in dribs and drabs.  A French production company quietly mentioned Tuesday that they would soon be working on a shoot with Craig… but did not say where or when.   The RSA’s @ericphilippona notice that French comedian Olivier Giraud said recently on his Facebook page that has been booked as guest for the show sometime this week.  Craig said on the show last week that French actor Jean Reno had been booked to appear during the week.

Charlie Higson

And on Tuesday another hint appeared, this time in tweets of British comedian and writer Charlie Higson.   You may remember that not long ago, Craig effectively booked Charlie to appear on the show in a Twitter conversation.  On Tuesday, Charlie tweeted:

Popped over to Paris for lunch. Very civilised. Slightly pissed.

Perhaps after lunch, Charlie was able to record a segment with his old friend and writing partner Craig Ferguson… we may have to wait until August to know for sure. It’s hard to say why there had been no tweets Monday or Tuesday, although it may have been something as simple as the budget.  Every day the show has to rent a production company to shoot video in the field costs money… so although they are in Paris for the “week” to do the show, they may try to keep actual shooting days to a minimum… shooting two shows a day Wednesday and Thursday and one on Friday… or something similar… to keep costs low.  In any case, we’re keeping an eye on what’s happening and at the end of the day, we’ll update you here.  Thanks again to our European robot skeletons and their tweet-stalking counterparts back home for their help in collecting news about the show this week! A Craig Primer The Morton Report had a story Tuesday talking briefly about Craig’s trip to Paris and backgrounding readers on why Craig has found success in late night television. Blast From The Past The RSA’s esteemed General @Malinky2Stoatir is digging through the vaults and putting up some rewinds of great past episodes to help fans through the next two weeks of re-runs.  Check out Mal’s channel for some fun Late Late Shows from the past such as this show ending from June of 2009, where Craig talks about the speed of ostriches and the mocking of French Canadian circus performers: Video courtesy: TVsCraigFerguson Tonight’s Guests Tuesday on the Late Late Show, watch for the April 18th show with actress Tina Fey and music by Everest .  Wednesday’s show will be from April 21st, with actor Alfred Molina and comedian Joe DeVito .
