Craig in Drag
We’ve seen Craig Ferguson dress up as a woman from time to time, portraying Jessica Fletcher in a Murder She Wrote sketch, among others. But in a photo from his punk rock days, he wears a costume which puts the rest to shame. In an article in the UK’s Mirror newspaper, a photo was unearthed featuring Craig and his former bandmate Peter Capaldi performing in full Louis XIV garb. Craig playing the accordion would have been a special treat. The RSA’s Ruth and @gittethuesen were among the first of many to draw our attention to the story.
That Scottish Sound
Meanwhile, Capaldi will “probably” use his Scottish accent as the new doctor in Doctor Who, reports showrunner Steven Moffat in an article on HuffingtonPost.com.
Gaiman Hopes to Write New Who
Author Neil Gaiman, a one-time guest on the Late Late Show, is hoping to write a third script for Doctor Who, now that Peter Capaldi has been tapped to become the twelfth doctor. Gaiman has written two scripts for the series in its recent revival, and wants to write for the actor, reports the website drwho-online.co.uk.
On the Record
In a recent article in the newspaper Herald Scotland, a recording of Capaldi and Ferguson’s 80s punk band Dreamboys was included. Enjoy “Bela Lugosi’s Birthday.”
