Splitting ArrowsIn Brave, Merida shoots an arrow so accurately, it splits another arrow already in the center of the target in two. So where did the whole idea of splitting an arrow in two come from? Slate.com takes a closer look. Thanks to the RSA’s Gus for the link!
Lollipop Theater Network
Craig serves on the advisory board of the Lollipop Theater Network, an organization that brings new films, usually only available in theaters, to hospitalized chronically ill children. They also invite cast members from the films to make visits to the children and give them a chance to meet the stars in person. Craig recently visited a hospital in the Los Angeles area, where young patients had the chance to see the film Brave during its opening week. To make a donation, visit the charity’s PayPal page. Pinks and Geoff
What do Geoff Peterson and the famous Pink’s Hot Dog stand in Hollywood have in common? They both got their start with an extension cord. As the Los Angeles Times and others have reported, the landmark restaurant got its start as a pushcart, which was plugged into a nearby hardware store. Thanks to the RSA’s @HoboRobot for the heads-up!
