A Busy Two WeeksCraig Ferguson and company will be working overtime during the next couple of weeks at CBS Television City. By our count, they will be taping eight shows this week and seven shows next week. That adds up to five extra shows that can be stored for future use. If they use the same plan as last year, taping will probably wrap up on December 16th to give the crew a full two weeks off for the holidays. Then, those five fresh, new episodes will run December 19-23, followed by the re-run fairy from December 26-30 before new episodes resume on January 2nd. As always, we’ll keep an eye on schedules and keep you up to date.
Over the Holiday Weekend
In case you missed your daily dose of Craig news over the holiday weekend, you can check back to our previous posts including stories about:

Two reviewers look ahead to the Disney/Pixar animated feature film Brave (featuring Craig as the voice of Lord MacIntosh)
Craig’s latest comedy special is now available on iTunes (along with his other special, his books and more)
Looking BackA year ago this week, Craig was nominated for a Grammy in the Spoken Word Album category for the audiobook version of his autobiography, American On Purpose. The award eventually went to The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Presents Earth. Since he’s been nominated for both a Grammy and an Emmy, maybe someone needs to come up with Craig Ferguson: The Musical, so he has a shot at a Tony Award, too.
Who For You
Also a year ago this week, the long lost Doctor Who opening musical number was mysteriously leaked onto the internet. Craig had planned the number for an episode featuring the eleventh Doctor Who, Matt Smith as a guest. But the piece had to be pulled from the show at the last minute due to some legal issues. After some additional work by the lawyers, the open eventually aired on CBS on an episode a few weeks later when Alex Kingston appeared as a guest.
