Brave Premieres in Scotland
The Disney/Pixar film Brave held its European premiere at the Edinburgh Film Festival in Scotland Saturday evening. The film’s world premiere was in Los Angeles on June 18th, ahead of its wide release in North America on June 22nd. And while the film won’t be released nationwide in Scotland until August 3rd and in the rest of UK and Europe on August 17th, the air was filled with excitement about the movie’s potential positive and lasting impact on Scottish tourism and popular culture. Among the stars attending the Scottish premiere were our fearless leader, Craig Ferguson, along with Robbie Coltrane, Kevin McKidd and the voice of princess Merida, Kelly MacDonald.
The website s TheEdinburghReporter.co.uk and FireToday.co.uk also had coverage of the event. And the Edinburgh Film Festival interviewed Alex Salmond, Robbie Coltrane and Kevin McKidd on the red carpet. Thanks to the RSA’s @NancyInTampa, @MissGraoully and @bgrhubarb for help with the links!
