Books Ahead
Craig Ferguson and his publishers are continuing work behind the scenes to put two new books on the market. The first will be a follow-up memoir to American On Purpose, which winds up around the beginning of his time at The Late Late Show. The new book will pick up from there but will also include other stories. Craig says he has written the book in short chapters that resemble some of his monologues from the show. No release date has been announced but it may be on the horizon later this year. Also ahead is the long-awaited sequel to his novel Between The Bridge And The River. The new work of fiction, called Sphinx of the Mississippi, promises new adventures and some surprises. Craig’s most recent writing was featured in a compilation of short stories inspired by the art of Edward Hopper and edited by writer Laurence Block. It’s available now in hardcover, paperback, Kindle and audiobook formats. When we hear more details about release dates for the new books, we’ll be sure to pass them along.
Corden On Snap
Current Late Late Show host James Corden is launching a new six-episode show on Snapchat, reports the website Engadget.com. The show’s premise is a behind the scenes look at a fictional reality show, in which he is looking for an eventual successor on the late night show, though he has expressed no plans to depart. He currently stars as the voice of Peter Rabbit in a new film, and recently talked at length with The Sun newspaper about his career.

Craig will be vacation next week, but has recorded all-new episodes of his SiriusXM radio show, including Jay Chandrasekhar, Nikki Glaser, Michael McMillian, Adam Ray, Jim Florentine and Judah Friedlander. Future guests booked for the show include Joe DeRosa, Kevin Pollak, David Itzkoff, Jenna Fisher, Alli Breen, Lynn Ferguson, Covino & Rich and Kathy Kinney.
