In the Audience
The RSA’s @bgrhubarb keeps up with all things Craig Ferguson-related. She records the shows so she can rewind to the best bits just moments after the show ends, follows the “Tweety” around the clock for Craig news and has taken long road trips to see our fearless leader’s stand up comedy on the road. This summer, she journeyed Los Angeles to see a string of tapings of The Late Late Show at CBS Television City, and wrote a great post about her adventures.
CF Rules Comic-Con
We weren’t the only ones enjoying Craig’s extensive appearances at Comic-Con in San Diego last weekend. In part of a longer article recapping the convention, the trade publication Variety had nice things to say about Craig’s reign as moderator-in-residence.
Which Came First?
On Wednesday night’s show, Craig asked if anyone could find the “Chick, chick, chick, chick chicken” song on the internet, and sure enough, a bunch of skellies did, including @hoborobot, who found this version and also found Cadbury’s “Finger of Fudge” ad. The chicken song was on records as early as the 1930’s with different lyrics. We’re guessing the group tasked with promoting eggs in Scotland borrowed the song and added it’s own lyrics. Here is a version from the UK:
