Esposito’s Thoughts
Comedienne Cameron Esposito had one of the more unusual national television debuts in recent memory, when she was called over in the middle of her set to sit down and chat not only with Craig, but with guest Jay Leno. She writes about her experience on LaughSpin.com. Thanks to the RSA’s @bgrhubarb for finding the article.
Parenting and Thieves
Craig rants about bad parenting and thieves who stole a serviceman’s identity.

Further Adventures The RSA’s @iknowjojo has cranked out a third installment of her Doctor Who-themed fan comic based on the idea of Peter Capaldi as the twelfth doctor and Craig Ferguson as his companion. You can see their latest adventures on her website, including a Chinese language version.
Arsenio Debuts Again Arsenio Hall is back as a late-night talk show host, after a 19-year absence from television. The set looks familiar and the energy from his audience does as well. The Huffington Post reports on the premiere episode of his new show seen on Monday night.
September 11 Story
It’s worth revisiting: Back in 2006, Craig talked eloquently about the events of September 11, 2001.

Stand up Comedy Ticket Update:Tickets for most of Craig’s stand up comedy shows in Florida have been available for several weeks but one took a long time to come around. Now we know why: There’s been a bit of confusion over the venue for the November 16th show. Originally, it was listed as the Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek, Florida. Instead, it will be at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, about 20 miles to the south. It’s easy to see how those could get mixed up. The correct listing and correct map location are now posted on our Live Comedy Tour page. Tickets for the November 16th show go on sale Friday, September 13th at 10am ET. Book early to avoid disappointment!
Minty Green
When Craig Ferguson appeared in the opening segment of The Late Late Show on September 2nd, he was not wearing his usual suit, but instead sported a casual look, featuring a pair of green pants. The RSA’s @Kyattsuai was inspired to come up with an illustration of that moment.
Adam’s Toolbox
The MythbustersAdam Savage builds a lot of things, so if anyone would know how to organize a toolbox, he would. He recently wrote an article for Wired magazine, explaining how he does it. Thanks to the RSA’s @dorindaletitbe for spotting the story.
Giant Host
Listen for Craig giggling at the beginning of this clip, featuring a camera trick to become a giant TV host.

Guest Update
Two additions have been made to the list of this week’s guests on The Late Late Show: Actress Shirley Jones appears on Monday’s show and actress Amy Smart has been added to Wednesday’s show. You can see the full listings on our Guests page any time.
Betty Rocks Betty White has received many honors for her work in television, and now she can add a Guinness World Record to that list. As TV Week reports, White has been recognized in the category “Longest TV Career for an Entertainer (Female),” at an astonishing 74 years. She made her first appearance in 1939 and continues to delight audiences. In the past, the record was not split by gender. The male record-holder is Britain’s beloved (and often gently teased about his age) Bruce Forsyth, who at 85 years old has also been appearing on television for 74 years and currently hosts Strictly Come Dancing, the UK’s equivalent to Dancing with the Stars.
Esposito’s Appearance Cheered Comedienne Cameron Esposito has been getting plenty of media attention since her appearance on The Late Late Show last week, in which Craig and guest Jay Leno invited her to sit with them halfway through her set and called her “the future of late-night” comedy. Among the outlets talking about her successful debut were the Chicago Sun-Times, ChicagoNow.com, SheWired.com, ChicagoReader.com, TheJaneDough.com, CBS 2 Television in Chicago and more. Other sites enjoyed Craig’s conversation with Jay about his upcoming retirement from The Tonight Show and his work on the road including Deadline.com, enstarz.com, the Huffington Post, .

Backstage at the LLS The Late Late Show has featured its hair and makeup artists in an unusual way for more than a year, inviting the lovely Liza Coggins and Tuyen Tran to dance with Craig Ferguson at the start of interview segments. The show recently tweeted a backstage photo of Craig with the ladies:
Capaldi on Ferguson
In an interview on the website HiBrow.tv, actor Peter Capaldi is interviewed about his career. In a five-minute portion of the interview starting about 25 minutes in, the host brings up the Glasgow punk band fronted by Capaldi called Bastards From Hell, which became Dreamboys. When he talks about Craig’s time in the band, the delight in Peter’s voice is both gleeful and touching. Thanks to the RSA’s @gittethuesen for telling us about it!
Pants Rant
Back in 2007, Craig went off on a tangent about pants.

Late-Night Milestones David Letterman recently celebrated his 20th year hosting The Late Show on CBS, with favorite guest Bill Murray. The Huffington Post and Broadway World reported on the anniversary show. When counting his years hosting Late Night on NBC, Letterman has been a late-night host for more than 30 years, surpassing the record set by Johnny Carson. Meanwhile, the date for Jay Leno‘s final appearance as host of The Tonight Show has been set as February 6th, 2014, reports Yahoo TV. Jimmy Fallon takes over as host after that, to coincide with NBC’s launch of its 2014 Winter Olympics coverage.

Stand Up Review
The website Comedy-Reviews.com has a review of Craig’s newest stand up comedy special I’m Here To Help and it has nice things to say. Thanks to the RSA’s @hoborobot for the link!
Robot Comedians
When Josh Robert Thompson is on the road, he prefers to leave Geoff at home in the studio. There is apparently a trend of attempts to create a robot comedian for the stage, but as this blog explains, Josh and Geoff have nothing to worry about. There is even video on one example:
