Director’s BoothCraig with Coppola
Craig Ferguson joked in a monologue this week that famed film director Francis Ford Coppola was hanging out in the Late Late Show control room. The audience laughed at what seemed like a typical Craig-style non sequitur, but it turns out he wasn’t joking. Coppola was in the control room, observing the show.

Mancinelli with CoppolaThe Huffington Post wasn’t able to find out why he was visiting the LLS as well as the set of The Young and the Restless at CBS Television City. Either way, it’s pretty cool to see him with Craig, and in the booth with LLS Director Tim Mancinelli.

Familiar Face
The RSA’s @TheRandyHeinz spotted a familiar face in the new Quiznos commercial. It’s Dana Delorenzo, the actress who portrayed Beth the CBS executive for several weeks on The Late Late Show. She was also briefly the voice of Sandra the rhino, above the fireplace on the LLS set.

Finding FinlandFinland Map sl
Craig Ferguson took note that Helsinki, Finland was recently name the most honest city in the world, so he asked the Late Late Show‘s graphics department to come up with an honest map of Europe to highlight the city. Apart from being a little optimistic about the climate of Iceland, it seems to be pretty accurate (at least if you’re Scottish).

Izzard for Mayor?
Eddie Izzard slPerformer, comedian and occasional Late Late Show guest Eddie Izzard may be turning in his life on stage for a life in the halls of power. The UK’s Daily Mirror reports Izzard has signaled his intentions to run for mayor of London as a member of the Labour Party in 2020. Because of London’s central role in Britain, mayors of the city can have national influence, similar to mayors in major American cities like New York and Los Angeles.
