Oh Canada
Craig Ferguson‘s recent string of sold-out stand up comedy performances across central and western Canada left a few Canadians in the east wondering when they’d get their turn to see our fearless leader in action. Fret not, northern brethren. Craig has announced eight more shows in January, reaching Hamilton, Montreal, Ottawa, Kitchener, London and even Halifax, a place so far east it’s practically in Scotland. Tickets for these shows will go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 15. However, you can get them earlier if you use the pre-sale code Craig tweeted on Tuesday:

Art Imitating Art?
While watching last Thursday’s Daily Show on Comedy Central, the RSA’s @HoboRobot noticed an animated sketch poking fun at CNN. It showed a list of possible ideas to improve the news network, including a reference to robot sidekicks. Been there, done that!

California Dreaming
Among the Craig Ferguson fans in the audience at his stand up comedy appearance in Santa Ynez, California on November 1st was the RSA’s @Monicarnsg, who wrote about the experience in her blog and posted some great photos. Desert Stage
Craig appeared over the weekend in Cabazon, California near Palm Springs at the Morongo Casino Resort. The RSA’s @monroemk was there and sent a photo of the small stage, joking that she hoped the always-pacing Craig wouldn’t fall off!

Helping Lollipop is Sweet
One of Craig Ferguson‘s favorite charities is the Lollipop Theater Network, which brings first-run movies to hospitalized children. The group’s fund drive is continuing and they’re more than a third of the way to their goal. If you’d like to take part and support the cause, it’s easy to donate on their CrowdRise.com page.

Canadian Props
When Craig poked fun at the mayor of Toronto in last week’s monologues, he got the attention of the Canadian media, including the National Post, Toronto’s CP24.com, and even The Hockey News, which took note of Craig’s dig at the Toronto Maple Leafs. New Band, Familiar Faces
The Glasgow-based band Craig Ferguson featured on The Late Late Show during a week-long visit to Scotland has re-emerged as a new group. The first of Craig Ferguson‘s stand up comedy shows for 2014 is now on the calendar. He’ll be in Austin, Texas at the Paramount Theatre on Valentine’s Day. Craig has made a habit of appearing in Texas every other year or so, and more dates and cities may be added in the coming weeks.
