The episode is scheduled to be taped on the afternoon of March 21st and will be broadcast that night. There’s no immediate word on who Drew’s guests will be, but we can be sure it’ll be a fun show. The guest list has been updated through February 25th, including Kevin Costner, previously bumped comedian Tony Deyo, restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump (after all of Craig’s jokes about her name, that should be interesting), show favorites Zooey Deschanel, Sharon Osbourne and more. You can see the most up-to-date listings on our Guests page any time.

LLS Hires ‘Tonight’ Co-Producer

Mug Part DeuxSnake Mug Part Deux
When it comes to snake mugs, our fearless leader Craig Ferguson has more than one snake up his sleeve. As we reported earlier, Craig’s snake mug from the Albuquerque Rattlesnake Museum was accidentally broken on Wednesday night’s show. But it appears they had at least one identical “stunt mug” in storage to take its place. And there may be even more. At one point, one of the mugs had a broken fang, and rather than having a gold fang glued on, it may have been replaced with a different mug altogether. Some mugs have the “censored” sign on the bottom and some don’t. We aren’t sure how many of the original-style mugs remain, or if the one that was broken was the “original,” but just as the fireplace on the set gets magically repaired every time Craig throws a log through it, snake mugs can apparently appear and vanish at will. The Late Late Show props team is ready for anything!

Gift Keeps On Giving
Jay Gift Bronco
When Jay Leno officially retired from The Tonight Show on Thursday, Craig sent him an appropriate going-away present. As E! Online reports, Craig gave the one thing a car lover like Leno would truly appreciate: A car! Specifically, it was the old Ford Bronco Craig bought from Danny Bonaduce several years ago.

Discovery Late-Night Show
Discovery After Dark slAlong with hosting The Late Late Show, writing screenplays and novels, hosting a new game show, performing stand up comedy across the country and much more, Craig Ferguson also has a production company which has several projects in the works. One of them is a late-night show coming to the Discovery Channel, called Discovery After Dark. Modeled after the successful Shark After Dark, which recapped each evenings prime-time programs during “Shark Week” last August, the new show will recap the network’s hit show Naked and Afraid, interviewing contestants, along with celebrity guests and other surprises. Discovery After Dark will be hosted by Joe Bareta, and will feature Bob (the shark) Oschack, who has been a longtime writer with the LLS. It will debut on March 16th, following the season premiere of Naked and Afraid, reports CapitalNewYork.com.

Small Town Girl SeriesLinda Cunningham
Earlier this month, we reported that Craig’s mother-in-law Linda Cunningham has a romance novel being published soon. Based on the marketing material from her publisher, it appeared to be her second novel, A Corporate Affair. But that book is already available online from several outlets, and it now seems that the third book in her “Small Town Girl” series is the one expected to arrive soon, entitled Keeping the Peace. We’ll continue to watch for word on its release date.

Snake Mug Disaster
Snake Mug Crash slPerhaps it was inevitable. In the frenetic world of The Late Late Show studio where interns in horse costumes roam free, makeup and hair stylists dance and guests appear on roller skates, how long could a ceramic mug last? After nearly five years of service, Craig Ferguson‘s mug from the Albuquerque Rattlesnake Museum, a gift from guest Mary McCormack, is no more, after being bumped from Geoff Peterson‘s podium on Wednesday night’s show by the robot skeleton’s remote-controlled, flailing left arm. As the RSA’s @bgrhubarb has researched, there are stand-in mugs that have appeared from time to time on the show, so the snake mug tradition may continue. The original had naughty bits drawn on the bottom (covered by a “censored” sign) and a gold tooth after it was chipped. The newer models available in the CBS gift shop are slightly different and a bit smaller. Stay tuned for more from Craig about the future of snake cups on the show. In the episode when Mary brought the mug for Craig, he ceremoniously destroyed his previous mug.
