Craig Rules Comic-Con
Craig at Comic Con slIt’s been a busy few days for Craig Ferguson, who appeared with Josh Robert Thompson on a panel at Nerd HQ in Sand Diego on Thursday, as well as hosting a Dreamworks Animation panel. He then went on to moderate two panels on Friday, including The Big Bang Theory and Game of Thrones, much to the delight of the Comic-Con crowds. We saw quite a few tweets suggesting that Craig moderate every panel at the convention.

Phil Craig and AdamAnd as if his week wasn’t quite complete, he also appeared at this summer’s incarnation of w00tstock, to introduce fellow geek Adam Savage from the Mythbusters. Craig’s astronomer friend Phil Plait was there as well, and got a photo of the three of them backstage. w00tstock is a nerd festival in its own right, and has been held in several different cities, including San Diego in 2013 and 2014.

CF and JRT PanelIt’s worth noting that the proceeds from Craig and Josh’s panel on Thursday were for a good cause. They raised $6,000 for Operation Smile. Of course, the Comic-Con panels Craig moderated were not all about him. The panels themselves got plenty of coverage (containing some spoilers), including Examiner.com‘s report on the Game of Thrones panel, and Variety.com‘s piece on The Big Bang Theory panel. Most of the stories we’ve seen had nice things to say about Craig. And in a fun story from Hypable.com, we hear about Craig jokingly making fun of Aquaman, and regretting it a moment later. It’s a good thing he’s played Aquaman so often on the show.

Post-Larry Interview BuzzLarry Interviews Craig
The media were buzzing with reaction after Craig appeared on Larry King’s internet talk show on Thursday, in which he talked about his departure from The Late Late Show and some of his future plans. Mediaite.com and CapitalNewYork.com were among those doing stories about the interview.

The panel quickly sold out, as fans packed the room to hear Craig and Josh talk about about The Late Late Show and more. All proceeds from the event went to Operation Smile.  Craig also moderated a panel about Dreamworks animation Thursday. Friday he hosts panels for Game of Thrones and The Big Bang Theory.

Late Show Staying in NYC
Ed Sullivan TheaterWhen The Tonight Show pulled up stakes and moved from Los Angeles back to New York when Jimmy Fallon took over as host, there was speculation that LA might try to woo CBS to move The Late Show west when David Letterman retires. But as the trade publication Broadcasting and Cable reports, a deal involving tax breaks and funds to renovate the Ed Sullivan Theater will keep the show in New York when Stephen Colbert assumes hosting duties in 2015.

He has also interviewed several members of the cast over the years. Craig Takes Over Comic-Con
SD Conv Center slWe’re starting to think SDCC should stand for San Diego “Craigy-Con” at this point. Craig Ferguson has been officially added as the moderator of a third panel at Comic-Con. He’ll be hosting the Dreamworks Animation panel on Thursday morning. As we’ve been reporting, he’ll then appear on a panel with Josh Robert Thompson over at “Nerd HQ” at Petco Park Thursday afternoon. You can get tickets for that panel on our Live Comedy Tour page. Then back at the convention center on Friday, he’ll host two panels, including Game of Thrones and The Big Bang Theory. It’s all Craig, all the time.
