More Tour Stops Ahead
Craig Ferguson is taking a short break from his Hobo Fabulous Tour for a couple of weeks. He’ll be back on the road the day after Thanksgiving for a 16-show run to wrap up the year. Ahead are stops in Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Maryland. More appearances are expected in the spring of 2019. Fans Enjoy The Show
Some fellow hobos are writing in to let us know about their experiences seeing Craig perform live on tour.
Dave saw Craig is Des Moines, driving from Minneapolis to enjoy front row seats. He said, “I thought Craig was the most connected to the audience that I have ever seen. Amazing what he picks up on. Great crowd with all kinds of ages.” He added, “My message to everyone: See this show!”
Lisa saw Craig in Edmonton. Parts of her night weren’t the greatest, such as seats being pretty far back, no luck sighting Craig in the wild, and a parking ticket on her car after the show (which she said “sucked donkey balls,”) but she dressed up for the event and said the show was “great even from the back of the hall.” She says Craig is her “favorite Peter Capaldi bandmate, Scot, comedian/author, and late night host.” Ours, too, Lisa!
And longtime RSA member Mary saw Craig on stage in Evansville, Illinois. She writes:
After many years of following Craig’s carer, and feeling connected in that strange way we humans sometimes do when we stumble upon kindred spirits, I had the opportunity to see Craig share his stories live. The Victory Theatre, in southern Indiana, is a beautiful old venue. Being not a really large auditorium, it was the perfect setting for the evening. It was a Thursday. The weather was cold, with messy rain. Folks were tired from a work week that was, for those of us whose lives are not lived on the road, nearing the end.
I could say so much, but I will leave it at this: Seeing Craig face-to-(sort of)-face, after all these years of watching on tv, online, and reading his wonderful books, was like seeing an old friend. I look forward to seeing him again someday, but I have no way of knowing if that will happen. Life has a way of weaving itself into tapestries. I’m glad a few of Craig’s threads have intertwined with mine.
I have a lingering regret about the night, though. I had a chance, a couple of times during the evening, to say thank you to one or another of Craig’s staff, and I let those chances pass me by. I am sorry about that. My husband talked to the young man at the merch table, and bought me a T-shirt. He was impressed with the kid, and I was going to stop at the table and ask him to share our thanks to Craig and the rest of the team, but I chickened out. I wish I had another chance to say thank you. Being at Evansville on that rainy November night meant so much more than they could ever know. I’m glad I went.

Kathie Lee Gifford‘s new film, featuring Craig, is expected to be released sometime during the holiday season. A specific release date has not been announced, but we are hearing that editing on the film is nearing completion. A few weeks ago, Gifford tweeted photos from Warner Brothers, where she and Craig were re-recording some of the dialogue to finalize the sound. Once the film is conformed and color corrected, it will be ready to make its debut. We’ll keep you updated on when you’ll be able to see the finished product.
