Dragon Success
The DreamWorks animated feature film How To Train Your Dragon 2, featuring the voice of Craig Ferguson as Gobber, was released for home video viewing just a short time ago, but it has already broken sales records, including being the top HD Digital release for 20th Century Fox of all time, reports Variety.

New Jersey Nights
Craig wrapped up the fall swing of his Hot and Grumpy Tour in New Jersey on Saturday night. He got nice coverage in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as part of a nine-city tour with Josh Robert Thompson and Secretariat before big crowds every night. As usual, @pnzr242 captured an image of the sound check, this time on the state in Montclair. Thanks to him for sending excellent photos throughout the tour.

And the fans were out in force in New Jersey on Saturday night, tweeting and Instagramming images from the show. @jmikeee tweeted about the theater marquee, while @nauticalstar got several nice shots during the show, including one of Josh and one of a man in the crowd getting a selfie with Craig.

   And @nauticalstar also captured the four stages of the “smell your own finger” awkward pause, and Craig’s many faces of Craig on stage, plus a smile for crowd, thanks for Josh and Secretariat, and taking a bow.

One Craig fan named Kevin attended the show near Pittsburgh on Friday. He told us:

[stextbox id=”custom”]Craig’s show in Pittsburgh was great. Warm, responsive crowd- he did an extra 20 minutes and took questions from the audience at the end. A young lady asked him “of everything you’ve written, what’s your favorite?” and he immediately responded “my resignation letter to CBS!”

Josh was in fine form doing the 20 minute opening, voicing Geoff, Morgan Freeman, Robert DeNiro, Liam Neeson and Ahnuld and the show kicked off with the Secretariat dance, with Craig joining in. His set included some material he’d previously done, but, being Craig, with new twists and embellishments. He was engaged and energetic- so much so, the guy with the follow spot had trouble keeping up with him.[/stextbox]

Holidays Ahead
Thanksgiving has already come and gone in the magical land of Can-uh-daah, but in the U S of A, it’s coming this Thursday, followed by one of the nation’s busiest shopping days, as people get ready for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or whatever floats their celebratory boat in December. The Late Late Show schedule this week includes fresh new (albeit prerecorded) shows on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. They’ll be followed by an encore presentation Thursday of the November 5th show featuring Bob Newhart and Melissa Rauch. On Friday, it will be another new episode with actress Kat Dennings and comedian Jermaine Fowler. Then on Monday, December 1st, Craig Ferguson’s final 15 shows kick off with Lisa Kudrow and Dominic Monaghan. You can see the full listings on our Guests page.

Pennsylvania Stop
Craig and Company were in Homestead, Pennsylvania Friday night, just outside Pittsburgh. There, @pnzr242 captured an image of the sound check before the show. Both @VirtuosoSubdeac and @maripops got photos with Josh Robert Thompson, Secretariat and Craig on stage.

Future Late Late Show host James Corden appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman on Friday, and joked about how his father was a little surprised at just how late The Late Late Show is on television each night.

The Fox Hunt Tattoo
Once in a while, Craig has mentioned on the show that he has always dreamed of having a giant tattoo on his back of a fox hunting tableau, with the fox’s tail disappearing in his backside. We always thought it was just the stuff of legend… an elaborate joke. But apparently someone has done it. We’re not sure who it is. This kind of stuff just washes up on the shores of the internet. And for all we know, it may be a photoshopped attempt. But either way, it’s magnificent.

Journey to Jersey
After eight shows across the middle of the country including a Friday night show near Pittsburgh, Craig Ferguson and Josh Robert Thompson will wrap up the fall leg of the Hot and Grumpy Tour with some stand up comedy in Montclair, New Jersey, just outside New York City on Saturday evening.

 

The RSA’s @sjump54 attended the Thursday night show near Cleveland and got some very nice photos near the stage of Josh, Secretariat and Craig.    Photographer @pnzr242 captured the snow falling in Cleveland on Thursday, with half of Secretariat, Joseph Bolter, looking on. Craig’s old show business pal Hugh Laurie will soon be returning to television, in an as-yet unannounced role in the HBO series Veep, reports Entertainment Weekly.

Playing near Pittsburgh
Craig Ferguson and Josh Robert Thompson put on a show at the Hard Rock Casino just outside Cleveland in Northfield, Ohio Thursday night and will be appearing Friday in Munhall, Pennsylvania on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. The fall leg of the Hot and Grumpy Tour wraps up in New Jersey on Saturday night.

Fan @najakwa tweeted his ticket to Wednesday’s show in St. Louis. Official tour photographer @pnzr242 captured in image of the team having breakfast in Cleveland on Thursday, and joked that everyone was on their phones except Craig. Future Late Late Show host James Corden talks extensively for the first time about getting the job, in an interview with Deadline.com. He’ll take over hosting duties in early March.

The band Metallica has been getting plenty of attention as they spend a week in residence at The Late Late Show. Zumic.com is among the many outlets reporting on the band’s appearances.

Cleveland Rocks
Craig Ferguson appeared on stage in St. Louis Wednesday and will be at the Hard Rock Casino in Northfield, Ohio, just outside Cleveland on Thursday night. It should be a particularly fun evening for Josh Robert Thompson, who has been opening for Craig this week and grew up in Cleveland.

Craig’s brother-in-law @pnzr242 sent another pair of great images, including a sound check from Des Moines and a panoramic backstage shot with the gang.

  The RSA’s @GretchenSke, @NateThePirate and @EvanFavreau got some of the best pictures from Des Moines. Even when they’re a bit blurry, they’re still fun to see!

  One fan who saw Craig in Witchta last week said:
