His chattiness has been a tweeting machine today, after a few days of being chided for neglecting his “needy tweeters”. Sending this picture, Craig mentioned his travels:

http://tweetphoto.com/14734213
ridin on big Florida bridges. Btw Big Florida Bridges was the name I danced under.

Earlier in the day, he sent this interesting observation: Had bad dreams & woke in a flop sweat at an ungodly hour a cheesy hotel in Florida. & that’s without drinking. Happy Paddys Day everybody

He followed that with: Hah. Coffee has banished my nightmares to the land of wind & ghosts but there’s a price. I’m all peepy & jittery like a guilty hamster.

Meanwhile, Randy Kagan bemoaned the age of the surrounding crowd: Lots of geazers in our hotel. We’re heading over to Leisure World to find some young folks. Oy!

Tonight, after a 270-mile jaunt across the Sunshine State, Craig wraps up his March tour at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida near Tampa. Then he heads back home to Los Angeles to prepare for fresh, shiny new television shows beginning Monday night.

Just as Craig has been helping good causes in the Los Angeles area, his talented sister Lynn Ferguson has been lending her name to a cause back in their home country. A historic building near Glasgow in the area where they grew up is in danger of falling into disrepair. Originally built in 1731, Cumbernauld House was at one time owned by a local government entity, which then sold it to a private organization. According to a website offering the house for sale, its current owners are in receivership (a form of bankruptcy). Now a petition is being circulated, asking either the local government or the Scottish national government to take over and preserve the house. A newspaper article about the house describes the current situation. There is also a facebook page, a brief video history of the building and a longer homemade video tour of the grounds and exterior. The electronic version of the petition can be found here. Lynn has been tweeting to her followers, asking them to sign the petition, which now has more than a thousand signatures. Thanks to RSA member @ScottishConan for the story idea and helpful links.

Re-runs continue on CBS this week while Craig is on the road. In a rebroadcast of March 3rd’s LLS (it seems like only yesterday), Craig welcomes the inimitable Michael Sheen and the inestimable Amy Ryan… curiously, both at the same time.

It was a shorter road trip today of about 240 miles for Craig & Co. from Orlando to the Coral Springs Center for the Arts near Miami. @rebtuck tweeted the photo at left and said:

http://twitpic.com/18y959 – Driver Jody gasses up. Chris just stands there not helping. Rebecca buys a truck stop burrito.

@randykagan tweeted this picture of Craig onstage in Orlando last night.

After the Thursday show, Craig tweeted to his adoring fans: Off to bed. Sorry to all the needy tweeters who feel I’m neglecting them. Btw Needy Tweeters is the name I use to clog dance under. The best response of the night came from RSA member phobos8 who added: Not to be confused with the Scottish bakers, The Tweedy Kneaders. #RSA Brilliant!

You’ve probably been seeing the tweets from RSA member @LipSyncingScot about the upcoming Tweet-a-thon on April 5th. The idea is to draw attention to a Santa Monica-based group called Lollipop Theater Network, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to bringing the magic of movies currently in theaters to children confined to hospitals nationwide due to chronic or life-threatening illnesses.

Craig Ferguson sits on the group’s advisory board and had made personal appeals on their behalf, as seen in this video promoting the Tweet-a-thon:

You can make a donation or read more about how to spread the word by visiting trendlollipoptheater.com And you can follow the group on Twitter. If you attach the hashtag #lollipoptheater to your tweets on April 5th, it will help raise awareness of a good cause. Thanks to @LipSyncingScot for her efforts to enlist the #RSA.

Craig has one more standup venue to go on this run, Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL tomorrow night before heading back to sunny California. In another “classic” episode first aired on February 8th, Craig welcomes actor Pierce Brosnan and folk singer-songwriter Patty Griffin on tonight’s Late Late Show.

Tonight’s venue for Craig’s standup show in the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, Florida, a 440 mile journey by tour bus from Atlanta through Macon, Valdosta and Gainsville. Coral Springs and Clearwater are still ahead on this week’s tour.

RSA member @colleen_byrne reports that after the first month of sales of Robot Skeleton Army gear, more than $400 will be going to aid relief efforts in Haiti and Chile, through Doctors Without Borders and the Red Cross. Thanks to Colleen for helping the Robot Skeleton Army do its part to help those in need. Colleen says money raised in March will continue go for earthquake relief. Then in April, the focus changes to the Lollypop Theater, which is planning a Tweet-a-Thon on April 5th. We’ll have more on that tomorrow. To visit her online store, get your RSA gear and give to a good cause click here.

Randy Kagan tweeted from backstage tonight: Backstage at the Hard Rock. Now i know why they call it Hard Rock. It’s hard to rock.

We’ve spotted no tweets from Grant Imahara on his progress building Geoff Petersen. In the meantime, Adam Goldberg and Abbie Cornish are Craig’s guests on tonight’s “Best of” LLS, from January 21st.

It was long day on the road for Craig & Co. on Sunday… about 400 miles from the Robinsonville/Tunica via Elvis’ birthplace in Tupelo, Mississippi and the Industrial City of Dixie: Birmingham, Alabama to the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta.

RSA Member MediaTsarina was kind enough to tweet us after the Atlanta show to give her impressions: show just let out. Packed house in ATL. Phrases to look out for are: magic baby door, shame stick, Cleveland bowtie. Craig’s opening act was really good, too. Think this was the first time I sat through, much less enjoyed a B.Spears song. Who knew Craig had all that prancin’ about in him? The S&M guy from LLS and a sax player opened for Craig’s entrance. It was very jazz flute from Anchorman. Rockstar entry by CF,too Entire show was great. The ‘ooh la la’ censor would have melted. Who knew a Scots lad liked to cuss? Shocking. In general I don’t like comics who are boy v girl. Too easy. His take on a few key points, while not new, was cleverly delivered. Still no #roboskellyarmy merch, but a tshirt, his book and audiobook for sale. Book is autographed, too. Not personally though. I will say, @CraigyFerg strolled out thru curtains like an early ’90’s Leary. Cock of the walk, without being a dick. A surprise. Two girls, one book. One bought Craig’s book, proudly showing off w/ ‘I got it, I smelled it’. The other sniffed at signature too.

There you go, folks… the inside scoop on the show. Next stop is Orlando, Florida on Monday night.

Saturday Night Live decided to have a little fun at Craig’s expense last night. In a parody of talk shows, the young host’s father called our fearless leader a “lazy bones” for (gasp!) not taping a show every night of the week. In case you missed it, here’s the link to hulu.com.

Many thanks to our growing group of re-tweeters who let folks know about new posts here on the site.

Adam Goldberg and the lovely Aussie Abbie Cornish (and her delightful dress) are Craig’s guests on the LLS Monday night, a rebroadcast of the January 21st show. Also featured is the film trailer spoof for “Jersey Shore-The Movie” and Craig admits to Abbie he calls his snake (mug) “Conquistador”.

“On the road again… just can’t wait to get on the road again…” -Willie Nelson

@randykagan tweeted this morning as the bus rolled north from Biloxi: We now have a fancy tour bus! I am in my bunk as we speak. All hail Craig!!!!

He also tweeted some pictures of the bus: Here here and here

Craig took a moment to comment on lunch: Just returned from a glamorous celebrity luncheon @ a truck stop taco bell in MS. Dreading some kind of gastric retribution for my gluttony And @rebtuck added: Super Walmart in Mississippi shopping for bus food. Theme of the day seems to be popsicles.

Tonight’s destination is Robinsonville, Mississippi, not far from Memphis, Tennessee for a standup show at the Gold Strike Casino. As Craig mentioned last night, the LLS will be in re-runs for a week while he’s touring.

Meanwhile, Grant Imahara is in the shop today, working on Geoff Petersen. He tweeted: Happy Saturday! In the shop working on a certain robo skeleton. Today’s goal: mount the arms and legs and then begin the jaw… We’re looking forward to more updates as he makes progress.

Whoops! Forgot to post a Friday fact. It’s a day late but here it is: If Craig’s 140,793 followers (ranked 737th on Twitter) became a city, it would be the country’s 174th largest, bigger than Hartford, CT; Fort Collins, CO or Syracuse, NY!

Craig is in Biloxi, Mississippi tonight for a standup show at the Beau Rivage Theater. “Beau Rivage” is French for “beautiful shore” and having been there, I can vouch that it’s true.

Craig appeared by phone on WTKS-FM in Orlando earlier today. For those who missed the live broadcast, the station posts podcasts of its shows. The interview was during the 1st hour of the show, with links at the bottom of their page here.

Today’s tweet from the Hot Mess: I’m tweeting from a Jacuzzi bathtub in Mississippi. I feel daring decadent & naughty. Take that Caligula

While Criag finishes boiling, the fully-baked-to-a-golden-brown George Hamilton appears on the show tonight, along with astronaut Mike Massimino and according to RSA member sariesRSA: Tonight’s episode of LLS is the one I went to the taping of two weeks ago. Heads up, Rebbecca makes an appearance. Beware the Ides of March Well said, sariesRSA. Brutus could be hiding around the next corner. Incidentally, Brutus is the name I used to dance under.

Finally, all’s well that ends well. What else can you say about an ending like this?

Craig is on the road, making a standup swing across the Southern US. He’ll be in Biloxi, Mississippi tomorrow night, then on to Robinsonville, Mississippi (near Memphis), Atlanta, Orlando, Coral Springs and Clearwater, Florida before heading back to Los Angeles. That means we have two more fresh shows, followed by week off (shh, don’t tell anyone that Craig’s not live!). New episodes begin again on March 22nd.

From the road, Craig tweeted that he and his team are on their way to Mississippi: http://tweetphoto.com/14058356 @rebtuck & Chris getting chummy in West Texas. We r headed for Biloxi

We’re told by Craig’s producer that the funny Eddie Izzard will return tonight for another round of tweets and e-mails: michaelnaidus Ding Dong! You again?

And the Robot Skeleton Army continues to grow as a force on Twitter. Last night as the show was airing in the Eastern and Central time zones, RSA member @fgtrplr tweeted us to say: Robot Skeleton Army is in the middle of the trending United States early this morning. #RSA #robotskeletonarmy

It’s another great example of how the RSA is getting stronger every day!

Grant Imahara tweeted a great photo from the M5 lab Wednesday night, showing Geoff Petersen the robot skeleton sidekick in a classic recruiting poster pose: http://twitpic.com/17uqltWe want you! Join the Robot Skeleton Army!!

We here at RSA News liked the picture so much, we made it the new profile picture for the page.

It was after 9pm Pacific Time when Grant tweeted: And yes, I’m still in the shop working on the skeleton’s arm and pointing finger.

Seeing this, Craig replied: Grant I’m worried about you being alone at night in the shop with Geoff Peterson. He’s untested man! Be careful

Grant will be hard at work building the sidekick to have it ready in time for the debut on April 5th, which is also the night of the NCAA men’s basketball championship game.
