Craig roared through Fort Wayne, Indiana on Wednesday performing stand up before a big crowd. #RSA member and Craig Ferguson uber-fan Fanny57 (far left) was there and provides a great account of her evening, including meeting fellow Fort Wayne fan Pantherlilykat and meeting Craig before the show.

Craig tweeted before the show: Backstage at Embassy theater Ft Wayne Ind. Fresh coffee & free chocolate. Good times. Then after the show when he flew north: Arrived Milwaukee. God bless you Wright Bros. And again this afternoon: Went for a stroll in Milwaukee by the shores of beautiful Lake Oprah. Midwesterners disconcertingly amiable.

Warmup man Randy Kagan was also tweeting photos again last night including these: Tres douche bags. Backstage Fort Wayne. http://yfrog.com/0xhgalj Where has that finger been? http://yfrog.com/1fcjvj On silver bullet after show. http://yfrog.com/0pyc8dj Our fearless leader getting off silver bullet. http://yfrog.com/0qvp4hj And today he added this: Loitering in lobby http://yfrog.com/j4opdj

Tonight’s stand up performance is at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee. Craig heads to Minneapolis Friday night before wrapping up this week’s tour in Chicago on Saturday.

Fresh episodes return to the Late Late Show tonight, when Craig welcomes the always hunky actor Tom Selleck and magician Lance Burton who will perform a fun illusion called the vanishing birdcage.

Craig appeared before an enthusiastic audience Tuesday night in Cincinnati and afterward, he commented on being a little freaked out by the theater backstage: I’ve never seen a Saw movie but I imagine them to be a bit like the backstage area of the Taft theater in Cincinnati. But he enjoyed the show: What a splendid audience in the Taft theater. Enthusiastic and dirty. Just how I like em. Thanks Cincinnstanis!

This morning, Craig tweeted about the journey: Rollin out of Cincinnati headed for Ft Wayne Indiana. Looking for a Cracker Barrel to have breakfast. We are like pioneers of the old west. Followed by: Found a Cracker Barrel in Middletown. Back on the road full of biscuits and regret.

But Craig’s assistant Rebecca Tucker gets the “tweet of the day” award: the woman working at this photo shop thinks i’m a scary nutjob stalker fan because i’m having 300 pics of Craig printed. We understand, Rebecca. Really we do.

The irrepressible Betty White, who at age 88 will be hosting Saturday Night Live on May the 8th, had nice things to say about Craig in today’s Orlando Sentinel.

A few days late, the Cleveland Plain Dealer had a quick note about Craig today:

Craig’s cameo: Class act Craig Ferguson, who is even better on stage than he is on TV, popped in to see the end of Jon Lovitz’s set Sunday at Hilarities after Ferguson entertained the crowd at the Ohio Theatre. Ferguson, who has performed at Hilarities, stayed for drinks and some nosh with Lovitz and club owner Nick Kostis.

Next up on the tour after tonight’s Fort Wayne engagement is the appropriately named Pabst Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin – sometimes know as “Beer Town USA”.

On tonight’s Late Late Show, we’ll see the week’s final “classic” episode, dating all the way back to March 9th. Craig welcomes actress/producer Lisa Kudrow and Rules of Engagement actor Adhir Kalyan. Fresh, new, live (shh!) episodes return tomorrow, including a magic trick!

Craig performs tonight at the Taft Theater in Cincinnati, Ohio; sometimes called the Queen City (sounds like a party at Elton John’s house). Last night, he thanked his audience: V nice audience at the Palace Thestre. Thanks Detroitos? Detroitillvanians? Detroitstanis? And this morning credited his hotel with a nice meal: My what a scrumptious breakfast! Hats off to you Ritz Carlton Dearborn Michigan. And from the bus today, he sent this tweet: Dear All. I am aware I am tweeting my location. I am on tour & thought it appropriate. Thanks for your concern.

Thanks to RSA member fgtrpir for catching Randy Kagan’s latest pictures from the tour: Fun on the road! http://yfrog.com/6bj2pj http://yfrog.com/j15cxj And thanks to the RSA’s jwilth who sent us these gems: First an article about the Toronto show from Third-Beat.com, followed by a fan-captured video of Craig’s closing number, complete with the now famous white pants:

Geekfest ahoy: On twitter today, Craig got into a discussion with G4’s Web Soup and Nerdist.com podcast host Chris Hardwick, in which it appears both have agreed to appear on each other’s shows. Craig complimented Chris’ work: That young @nerdist fellow has the muppets on his podcast. I am envious of him & consistantly impressed by his zany comedy antics. To which Chris replied: YOU are a good man! & welcome on the podcast anytime. Now let’s rock the Midwest with Caucasian antics! (eat at Cracker Barrel) Then Craig humorously responded: Chris! I’ll do yours if you do mine. Then I’ll be on your show. And Chris added: It’s a deal! I think they call this “Hosts with Benefits”. You want in on some of this sweet action, @wilw? That last reference to @wilw is to Star Trek actor/writer/geek blogger extraordinaire Wil Wheaton, who noticed the conversation and asked: OMG. Did @CraigyFerg just invite you to be on his show?! and added: Don’t you DARE tease me when we’re talking about @CraigyFerg, Chris. So we may see and hear all of them on future shows.

Despite strong media interest during Craig’s tour of the Southeast in March, not much has been said about him on his April Midwest tour. We are aware of no radio or television interviews this week. Mentions of Craig in newspapers along the tour route have been mostly limited to listings in event calenders, apart from a short profile in Cincinnati’s alternative newspaper City Beat. If you spot an interview or other coverage in your city please use the form at the bottom of this page and let us know.

In the meantime, a Toronto Globe and Mail newspaper interview of comedian Eddie Izzard mentions Craig prominently and the Christian Science Monitor points to both Craig and Conan O’Brien’s initial reluctance and eventual acquiescence to the Twitter phenomenon in an article about Hugo Chavez.

Craig’s next stop on the stand up tour will be Fort Wayne, Indiana on Wednesday night.

On tonight’s “best of” edition of the Late Late Show, Craig talks with Actor Jay Baruchel about How To Train Your Dragon, plus talk show legend Regis Philbin and his wife and Joy sing.

Craig was philosophical while riding the bus this morning. He tweeted his thoughts: On tourbus from Cleveland to Detroit on a rainy day When I was a kid I wanted to run off & join the circus. I suppose I did. Hooray.

Randy Kagan also sent some pictures last night: Me onstage after Cleveland. http://yfrog.com/73rh8j Dos Douches. http://yfrog.com/11e4pj He also added this: In case you are wondering, i read all your tweets.

Today’s Detroit Free Press has a brief mention of Craig’s show in the entertainment section. He will perform in the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak, Michigan tonight and head for Cincinnati tomorrow.

Craig has become well known and appreciated for his monologues at the start of each Late Late Show and the slightly more off-color version in his standup act. If you’ve ever wondered about how Craig’s unique, conversational style developed, take a look at this short clip of his early 90’s television show in Britain called The Ferguson Theory. If you listen carefully, you hear the beginnings of some of the cadence, phrases and quirks that have become so familiar to us each night.

On television in tonight’s “classic” edition of the Late Late Show, enjoy a rebroadcast of the March 24th show featuring Actor Jonah Hill, actress Emily Procter and the debut of the “loosened necktie” look.

Craig performs in Cleveland, Ohio tonight after drawing big crowds near Pittsburgh on Saturday. Last night as he hopped on the bus, Craig tweeted: Rolling from Greensburg to Cleveland. V excited to be headed to the birthplace of America’s sweetheart @DrewFromTV Cleveland Rocks!

Craig has staying power not only on television and on stage but on the big screen as well. His film How To Train Your Dragon is number one at the box office in its fifth week of release.

Randy Kagan tweeted on board the bus: On our way to Cleveland. Watching the Lakers get spanked. And not in a good way. http://yfrog.com/3dkxmsj

He also sent along a photo of Craig with pen in hand: CF signing books. Cleveland. http://yfrog.com/3mtrkwj

Next stop on the tour is Monday night in the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak, Michigan, then it’s back to Ohio for a show in Cincinnati on Tuesday. Meanwhile in Los Angeles, the “rerun fairy” (as Malinky would say) visits on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week before new episodes of the Late Late Show return on Thursday.

Craig opened his new tour in Toronto last night, performing two shows. He tweeted after the show: Awake in Hotel room. Bit of jet lag. & still buzzing from fantastic audiences in Toronto. Thanks Canadians you are great fun(& bacony)

And this afternoon, he added: In a hipster coffee shop (Devi8 )in Greensburg PA. It’s raining outside. Feels like Glasgow.

Randy Kagan added a picture, highlighting the crew’s transportation for the tour:
How we roll. http://yfrog.com/b9156qhj

Cincinnati’s City Beat weekly newspaper interviewed Craig in preparation for his appearance on Tuesday, April 27th.

Tonight’s standup show is in the Pittsburgh suburb of Greensburg, PA and Craig heads to Cleveland, Ohio on Sunday.

It’s a great day for America (and Canada), everybody. Craig & Co. are on the road. Craig tweeted this morning: Arrived in Toronto. Already bowled over by the friendliness of Canadians and the gentle hint of bacon & maple syrup in the air . Oh Canada.

Craig performs two shows in Toronto tonight and heads for Greensburg, Pennsylvania (just east of Pittsburgh) on Saturday. The Toronto Star makes only a brief mention of Craig’s show in today’s edition but the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has a longer listing in its entertainment section:

Ferguson at the Palace

If you stay up late, you know what Craig Ferguson is like as a talk-show host. How does he rate as a standup comedian? You can find out Saturday night when he steps out of the TV and into the Palace Theatre in Greensburg.

The Scottish-born comic, now living the life in LA, has had an unusually varied career, ranging from punk-rock drummer (The Bastards from Hell) to actor (“The Drew Carey Show”) to screenwriter (“The Big Tease”) to novelist (“Between the Bridge and the River”).

His biggest claim to fame is “The Late Late Show,” which he took over from Craig Kilbourn in 2005. “I think they were just looking for another bloke named Craig,” he has joked. Since then, he’s won viewers with the offbeat and down-to-earth style of his monologues.

Friday fact: If you sent a “hello” tweet to a different one of Craig’s 183,540 followers every minute for eight hours a day, it would take more than a year (a year and 17 days).

Tonight on the Late Late Show, Craig’s guests are The Price is Right host Drew Carey and country singer Jason Aldean.
