Craig is in Boston tonight, to host the city’s Independence Day celebration, the last hour of which will be broadcast live on CBS, beginning at 10pm ET/9pm PT (tape delayed on the west coast). The final twenty minute fireworks display will be presented commercial free and the entire broadcast will be in high definition for the first time.

The Philadelphia Inquirer has a brief mention of Craig’s appearance in Glenside on Saturday, on it’s entertainment page today.

Because Craig is on the road on the east coast for the next several days, the re-run fairy will be visiting the Late Late Show this week: Monday, July 5 will feature Craig’s interview with Scarlett Johansson (May 5), Tuesday brings Robert Downey, Jr. (May 13), Wednesday will be Holly Hunter and music from The Hold Steady (May 20), Thursday includes Adam Goldberg and magician Jamy Ian Swiss (June 3) and Friday’s episode will be a rebroadcast of the June 9th Late Late Show, with Kyra Sedgwick and Tom Felton.

Happy Independence Day, everyone! Celebrate safely. Please don’t drink and drive.

Craig is making a big impression in Boston this weekend. He played two sold-out shows at the Wilbur Theatre last night. Today, the Boston Herald blogged about last night’s show and his upcoming appearance hosting the city’s Independence Day celebration and the Boston Globe included tomorrow’s festivities in its blog about TV events to watch this weekend. Remember, tomorrow night’s live broadcast on CBS is at 10pm ET/9pm CT (tape-delayed on the west coast). Thanks to Malinky2Stoatir for the links to the marquee photo from the Wilbur.

Randy Kagan tweeted a couple of pictures of the plane: I love my job! Transpo to Boston. http://yfrog.com/jcixvj She is a sexy bitch. http://yfrog.com/9e551hpj

Rebecca Tucker also approves of the trip: Best thing about being back east? Dunkin Donuts!

Today is “Compliment Your Mirror Day”, so please take a moment to do so. And by that, we mean compliment the person in the mirror. They deserve it.

Friday Fact: @CraigyFerg is closing in on a quarter million followers on Twitter. When he passes that milestone, he will be among the top 600 twitter users worldwide.

Meanwhile, here at RSA_News we have more humble aspirations. We recently topped 600 followers thanks to loyal members like you. However, that is only about one-quarter of one percent of Craig’s followers, so we’d like to spread the word a little further. We’d like to see if we can reach a thousand followers in the month of July. Please ask your RSA friends to follow @RSA_News and re-tweet our posts when you can. With your help, more robot skeletons will be able to keep up with the happenings in the hollowed-out volcano. Thank you!

Our fearless leader is already enjoying the Boston lifestyle: Good Lord! Have just had amazing cup cake @ Cherry Bomb bakery in Boston. Best thing I’ve had in my mouth since the 80’s

The acerbic wit of Kathy Griffin graces the Late Late Show this evening, plus actor Michael Vartan and thanks to Craig’s invitation, we’ll hear the music of Alicia Witt. Happy Canada Day!

Craig is taking his casual look to a new level, wearing only a t-shirt under his suit jacket last night. Several roboskellies were tweeting their approval last night but Craig might not be sold on the idea: Wore t shirt with suit 2nite on the show. Thought I’d be like Don Johnson. Ended up more like Al Bundy. *sigh*

Meanwhile, LLS producer Michael Naidus is being rather cryptic with his tweets. About a day ago, he posted this tweet: I have a question. Lots of RSA members responded with tweets like, “Go ahead, ask your question.” Then today, he posted this: Thank you for answering my question. We aren’t really sure what the question was or what the answer turned out to be but we’re always happy to help.

There aren’t enough O’s in “cool” to describe the latest creation of SunnyAnnie84, one of the most talented graphic artists here in the hollowed-out volcano. Her RSArmy recruiting poster is simply awesome, complete with Craig’s new t-shirt look and an appropriate “great day for America” gesture.

Craig’s guests on the Late Late Show tonight are barbecue chef Myron Mixon and actress Mindy Kaling, about whom Craig tweeted this afternoon: The adorable @mindykaling on the show 2nite. What a dame! She’s just the sort of friend I would have if I wasn’t such a weird cranky loner.

Last night, Craig tweeted he was happy to be home: Home from Sharky Bahamas to beautiful LA where the predators wear suits and the Great White is called Betty. BTW Sharky Bahamas etc…

Being home will only last a few days, however. Craig will be heading east on Thursday night after taping (shh!) the Thursday and Friday shows, to appear live on stage in Boston Friday night.

Can’t wait to meet my favourite Scot @CraigyFerg!
