Late Late Show assistant producer Andrea Wayland tweeted about Geoff Petersen’s appearance tomorrow in San Diego: I hope Geoff Peterson brings me a trinket from Comic-Con. That is, if he doesn’t get overwhelmed by all the fans and prospective mates.

And voice actor Josh Robert Thompson added this: Geoff Petersen is such a back seat driver! Take that how you will. #SDCC #RSA

Back in 2006, Craig told Peter Bart and Peter Guber on the AMC show Shootout why he has generally stayed away from big budget films that take a long time to produce.

Robot skeleton Carol Burke sent us some poetry with a Craigy theme we thought you’d enjoy:

There was a wee lad from Glasgow,
Gathering followers wherever he’d go,
He must be a genius,
With a very nice penis,
Hosting the likes of The Late Late Show.

ANTHEM FOR OUR KING (To the tune of “America The Beautiful”):
OH! Ferguson,Craig Ferguson,
Your Robots wait for thee,
Through hollowed out volcanoes,
In groups of two or three,
We’ll follow you,
Your Skeleton Crew,
Geoff Peterson will spew with glee,
The world is yours to conquer,
From sea to shining sea.

ODE TO A SCOT:
With monkeys oh so cheeky,
Your chuckle mighty creepy,
You give your throngs such a treat,
With snake cup in tow,
RobotSkeletons will go,
To the ends of the Earth on our feet,
From Bing Hitler to Wavy,
In their own little Navy,
Brings delight in the hearts of us all,
Lurking into the shadows,
Of hollowed out volcanoes,
Your devotees will now come to call.

Carol also suggests another formal title for Craig: I also think Mr.F’s title should be..Five Star Exalted Rear Admiral To The Fleet Of United, Cosmic Skeletons

Today is Cousins Day. Not as many greeting cards are sold for this day as Mother’s Day but it’s a good excuse to say hello to your favorite cousins.

ComicCon is underway in San Diego and Geoff Petersen will be there, along with voice actor Josh Robert Thompson at the CBS booth on Sunday, July 25th from 2-5pm. If any RSA folks are there, don’t forget to send us your stories and pictures. We’re happy to share them with the RSA!

Jimmy Fallon may be a bit behind, but he does have a Twitter song. Note that Linda Holmes at NPR likes the 12:30am talk shows better than the 11:30pm competition. You’re not alone, Linda.

The Huffington Post has an interview with Scottish singer Justin Currie, who appeared recently on the LLS and admires fellow Scot Craig Ferguson’s success in America.

It’s Friday and when tweet and email time comes on tonight’s Late Late Show, actress Mindy Kaling will lend Craig a hand. Then Craig interviews Paulina Porizkova and hears the music of MGMT.

Craig is laughing about Geoff Petersen getting to take a road trip to ComicCon: My robot skeleton goes to comicon but I have to work. I’m nerd Cinderella. #doyourownballjoke Looks like a new hashtag! And voice actor Josh Robert Thompson will be there as well: Heading to San Diego with a certain robot skeleton sidekick… #RSA #CraigFerguson #SDCC

Yesterday’s effort to trend the hashtag #betterthanbeingmelgibson didn’t make the top ten, but Craig himself added a second tweet yesterday to help propel it up the list: Last night Dan Riskin talked about a guy who found a huge anal parasite in his bahookie. But that is… #betterthanbeingmelgibson Maybe just trending the word “bahookie” might work.

Although the Robot Skeleton Army has had its gear for some time now, CBS has seen the light and is offering Late Late Show items as well, as Craig’s assistant Rebecca Tucker tweeted: Get your own Late Late Show merchandise! http://tinyurl.com/2932rhm Also, a little bird told us that loyal robot skeletons can get a 10% discount on LLS gear by typing in the promotional code: AFFDA Not a bad deal. (Shh!)

Craig will be hosting an awards ceremony for the Direct Marketing Association on October 12th in San Francisco. The DMA is a professional association for companies that sell products or services using telephone sales, emails, catalogs and other mailings. The event is not open to the public.

Tonight, Craig talks with actor Michael Clarke Duncan and NCIS: LA actress Daniela Ruah.

Craig has already had a busy day: As my friend @stephenfry tweets about his travels in China I find myself driving to the dentist. #greenwithenvy Followed by this tweet: Today I’ve had my teeth scraped by a dentist and been scolded by twattybugs who thought I was tweeting & driving. #betterthanbeingmelgibson An effort is underway to get the hashtag #betterthanbeingmelgibson trending.

Speaking of trending, Craig’s tweet last night about bat nuts made Twitter’s front page. Thanks to the RSA’s bgrhubarb for the screen capture. The power of the Robot Skeleton Army is significant. Pointing 274,000 people in the same direction can do good things.

Grant Imahara tweeted something he thinks we all need to know: And 4 the record, Geoff P. isn’t “pleasuring himself” on the @CraigyFerg show. It’s a dbl fist pump. U just can’t see cuz of the podium! Talk about an upgrade.

Kevin Pollak is a fine actor, a stand up comedian, a talented voice impressionist, writer, producer, director and host of a groundbreaking internet talk show. Tonight, he gets to be Craig’s guest on the Late Late Show, along with actor Ted Danson.

Special note to our RSA friends: Craig sent out a tweet after the show this afternoon: There is somebody on myspace pretending to be me. How sad. Its bad enough being the real thing.

We do not wish to draw attention to that page and will not post it here. Nor will we post links to other pages on MySpace or Facebook which claim to be Craig. We hope you do use the links section on the right-hand column of this page. We list only one Facebook site, which we have been told is the legitimate Late Late Show site operated by the CBS network. We also link to the network’s main Late Late Show website. The rest are links to Craig-related fan pages which are as they appear to be: Created and operated by fans. We are happy to link to other fan-based sites you tell us you enjoy. However, to our knowledge, Craig has no social media presence apart from @CraigyFerg on Twitter. And for the record, this site, robotskeletonarmy.blogspot.com, is entirely fan created. It is in no way connected with Craig or the Late Late Show as we clearly state in our legal notice in the right-hand column of the page.

Internet safety:
Following along with today’s Twitter conversation about the MySpace page, two points seem appropriate to make here. The first involves safety. Any social media page, whether MySpace, Facebook, Twitter or elsewhere which purports to be be operated by a celebrity should be approached with caution. Twitter utilizes their “Verified” logo program to help identify legitimate celebrity users but there are few other ways on the surface to know for sure. The motives of anyone pretending to be a celebrity are not easy to determine. While they may not be sinister, caution is advisable wherever there is an attempt to deceive. If something makes you feel uncomfortable, there is often a good reason.

Fan enthusiasm:
The second point involves helping each other as fans. It is important that if anyone feels their personal safety is threatened, to speak up and equally important that others take their concerns seriously. It is also useful to be skeptical about the origin of sites like the the one Craig mentioned today. However, it is not helpful to be dismissive of people’s beliefs or opinions, especially when waiting for a definitive answer.

It is not an embarrassment to have been fooled by a site like this… judging by the number of fans/friends/followers of these pages, many have been taken in. Nor is it unreasonable to ask questions or debate differing points to view. But such debates can happen without personal attacks or anger over issues that should unite us as fans. We consider every RSA member to be part of our unusual, quirky but respectful extended family.

The question of whether the page was real was settled today by Craig himself. We hope any disagreements or bad feelings stirred up by it can be settled as well.

Finally, let’s end on a lighter note. Craig just tweeted: If you think vampire bats have cute tiny little testicles you’d better watch the show tonight …or continue livivng your bat nut lie. If that won’t get you to watch the show, nothing will.

Voice actor Josh Robert Thompson, the voice behind Geoff Petersen, let us know last night that good things were ahead: Worked w/@MYTHBUSTERS‘s robotic mastermind @GrantImahara @ CBS today.Prepare yourself 4 GEOFF PETERSEN:ROBOT SIDEKICK 2.0!! And sure enough, what a great show it was!

LLS assistant producer Andrea Wayland said it best: Watching things unfold naturally on the show tonight was the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Hysterical. Craig concurred: Wow ! Peterson upgrades & @grantimahara talking robots then sexy 3 way with Jeffrey Dean Morgan & @rajskub Best show so far this week.

For those RSA members going to ComicCon, here are the details of Geoff’s appearance. If you are going, we’d enjoy hearing your stories and seeing pictures!

Sharp eyed RSA member KimberlyJ1792 pointed us to a blog post all about Sid the Cussing Bunny!

She charmed us as Ugly Betty and co-starred with Craig in How To Train Your Dragon… tonight, Craig welcomes actress America Ferrera to the show, along with biologist Dan Riskin and comedian Fred MacAulay.

Mythbusters fans will enjoy Craig’s tweet sent just a short time ago: The adorable @grantimahara will assist me in the email/tweety segment tonight. If you have a robot question, now’s your big chance. xxx He also tweeted: Looking forward to the big particle physics/differential equations show tonight. It’ll be a ratings sensation. That has us interested!

Some RSA folks have been voting over at Discovery.com to get Craig selected as a celebrity guest on Mythbusters. But earlier today, Craig himself said he isn’t interested: I love @mythbusters but I dont want 2b ON @mythbusters. Like I love Dr Who but I dont want 2b … hmm bad example. #doyourowndoubleentendre It looks like Alton Brown has a lock on it, so it may be a moot point.

Craig also tweeted yesterday: Found Rick Wakeman’s Journey to the Centre of the Earth on I tunes. Renfair geekrock at it’s finest. Oh yeah! I need a cape & winged boots.

A writer for TVSquad.com says he can’t watch the Late Late Show but his reasons are interesting.

A different writer at TVSquad.com conducted an extensive interview with Craig Kilborn, former host of the Late Late Show, where he talks about late night talk shows.

And some final Craig baby name suggestions:

@turningHome – Boy -Jasper Hamilton Ferguson
@turningHome – Girl -Harmony Paige Ferguson
@Legaya31RSA – Craig Jr. for a boy, Megan for a girl
@dorindaletitbe – Megan Grace Ferguson
@Fanny57 – GIRL : Kathryn Cunningham Ferguson
@Fanny57 – BOY: Robert Randall Ferguson

Perhaps Craig might use one of the names suggested here but our money is on a surprise. We’ll find out in just nine short months.

Tonight on the Late Late Show, Craig interviews actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan and 24 actress Mary Lynn Rajskub, along with Grant Imahara helping with tweets and emails.
