Friday Fact: If Craig‘s 350,000+ followers were laid out end to end (assuming an average height of five feet six inches tall) they would stretch from the Late Late Show studios in Los Angeles all the way to San Francisco, Sacramento or Phoenix! That’s a lot of robot skeletons. But we skeletons don’t get out much. We’re all in the hollowed-out volcano, awaiting instructions from our fearless leader.

Despite having an all-new episode of the Late Late Show tonight, thanks to the magic of television, Craig will also be appearing live at The Mountain Winery in Saratoga, California just outside San Jose tonight.  He also will appear at Davies Hall in San Francisco tomorrow night.  After an east coast run in October, Craig has added some new west coast dates for November and December, with a Tennessee stop thrown in for good measure:

  • November 5  Balboa Theatre, San Diego CA
  • November 6 Fox Performing Arts Center, Riverside CA
  • November 20 Polk Theater, Nashville TN
  • December 3 Fantasy Springs Casino, Indio CA

Late Late Show assistant Producer Andrea Wayland points out that it’s important for any tweets and emails for Craig to be sent in by 6pm ET/3pm PT each day, to give enough time for them to be considered.  She also reminds us that tweets with jokes built in probably won’t be considered.  It’s better to let Craig make the joke.

Speaking of jokes, the controversy surrounding Emma Thompson‘s off the cuff remark about the Isle of Wight last nonth appear to be resolved.  She has apologized to the people of the Island, as reported in several media sources including The Telegraph.

New York Magazine included Craig’s “pull my finger” bit with Rashida Jones in its late night highlight reel.

Early in Craig’s run in the Late Late Show, he was feeling sick one day but did the show anyway. The result was a very funny segment:

To finish the week on the Late Late Show, Craig chats with actress Katey Sagal and singer Norah Jones.

Since he signed on to Twitter back in February, Craig has amassed more than 340 thousand followers, placing him easily in the top 600 twitter users. Exact numbers are hard to find because the sites that analyze follower numbers usually lag behind. He is some distance behind some of the other talk show hosts but in a way that’s comforting. We may be smaller but we’re active and we’re more fun!

In a classic sketch, Craig auditions to be the next James Bond.

Craig’s guests on tonight’s Late Late Show: Actress Rashida Jones, daytime host Dr. Mehmet Oz and country singer Blake Shelton. Then on Friday, Craig talks with actress Katey Sagal and singer Norah Jones.

We now have more than 800 Twitter followers on our RSA_News account. We’re thankful that so many robot skeletons are interested in what’s happening the in volcano and enjoy stopping by each day to read the latest news, catch up on tweets and enjoy being fans of Craig Ferguson and the Late Late Show. If you visit our site each day but aren’t following us on Twitter, please do. And if you are, be sure to let your friends know about us. Our success depends on loyal readers and spreading the word. Thank you!

Craig has been tweeting this week about his upcoming live stand up comedy performances, Friday night in Saratoga, California near San Jose and Saturday night in San Francisco:  Sat night stand up show in San Francisco @ Davies symphony hall. I’ve heard some @mythbusters are attending. I’m cock a hoop. Btw cock etc That’s right Craig, it was one of the many names you used to dance under (cock-a-hoop is actually a British expression meaning “excited”, so feel free to do your own joke).  And today, this:  Stand up show in San Francisco at the weekend. Want to wear white pants but it’s after labor day. Maybe wear assless chaps instead. Don’t worry Craig, no matter what you wear, you’ll fit in.  You’re European, after all!

One of the funniest moments in the Late Late Show studio was the night Craig broke the teleprompter when he hit the camera. Enjoy!

It’s another all-new episode of the Late Late Show, featuring Inside The Actor’s Studio host James Lipton and actress Monica Potter. On Thursday, stay up for actress Rashida Jones, daytime host Dr. Mehmet Oz and country singer Blake Shelton.

We hope you’re enjoying reading the RSA News, now published at its new time. We appreciate the contributions of our readers and always try to give credit whenever possible. Thanks to the RSA’s @NadineWavy for pointing us to this fun clip, where Craig invaded the studio where Joel McHale was taping an episode of E!’s The Soup. Be sure to watch to the end.

After yesterday’s post with the power outage, how could be not show the clip when Craig talked about the leak in the roof at CBS Television City on February 5th of last year?

On Tuesday night’s Late Late Show, don’t miss actor Chris Kattan and shark expert Rob Stewart. On Wednesday, we’ll see Inside The Actor’s Studio host James Lipton and actress Monica Potter.

Craig is performing near San Jose on Friday and in San Francisco on Saturday. Book early to avoid disappointment.

This week we’re taking a look at surprising moments from the Late Late Show.

On October 27th last year, the Late Late Show experienced a partial power outage that turned off the stage lights in the middle of the show. CNN’s Jeanne Moos reported on what Craig did next:

Monday night on the Late Late Show, Craig talks with actor John Larroquette and actress Malin Akerma.  Tuesday, watch for actor Chris Kattan and shark expert Rob Stewart.

RSA General @malinky2stoatir expressed the feelings of many today on this holiday weekend:  This weekend’s weather is so wonderful, I think I’ll hug it and squeeze it and call it George… We hope all robot skeletons are enjoying the weekend!

And Craig tweeted earlier today, enjoying his weekend: http://yfrog.com/n8dfnsj Labor day weekend at my house. Hot dogs pending.BTW Hot Dogs Pending was the bond girl I played.

Craig will be doing all-new episodes of the Late Late Show for a while but he will slip in a pair of live stand up concerts this month.  Coming up this Friday, September 10th, he’ll be in the San Jose suburb of Saratoga, California at The Mountain Winery.  Then on Saturday, September 11th, it’s a big show at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco.  Craig will be returning to the east coast for a string of shows in October.

Coming up this week on the Late Late Show, just because Monday is a holiday doesn’t mean Craig gets the day off.  Watch for an all-new episode, featuring actor John Larroquette and actress Malin Akerman.  On Tuesday, it’s actor Chris Kattan and shark expert Rob Stewart.  Craig welcomes actor Jerry O’Connell and actress Monica Potter on Wednesday. Then on Thursday, he’ll talk with actor Tim Robbins and daytime talk show host, Dr. Mehmet Oz.  Finally on Friday, Craig welcomes actress Katey Sagal, actor Donald Glover and music by country crooner Blake Shelton.

Craig relaxed last night after his first full week back from a vacation by watching a movie and tweeting about it:  Watched Timecop last night. Haven’t seen that movie in years. Boy 2004 is going to be awesome.

In an unusual story in today’s Hollywood Reporter, actor Taylor Lautner settled a lawsuit against an RV dealership, which will result in one of Craig’s favorite charities, The Lollipop Theater Network, receiving a large donation.

In late night television news, Conan O’Brien has announced the name of his new show coming to cable channel TBS in November.  National online newspaper The Examiner covered the announcement.

The RSA’s @cozyhobo found a fun website called the Scottish Vernacular Dictionary.  It is not for the faint of heart but provides quite a few good laughs.

RSA Member @das_fuxi found a fun clip of voice actor Josh Robert Thompson (the voice of Geoff Petersen) being interviewed on a radio show.

Today marks two holidays that are perhaps more hallmarks of the past than the present:  It is Newspaper Carrier Day, in an age where fewer and fewer people read newspapers.  And it is the anniversary of the founding of the Eastman Kodak Company, long makers of photographic film which has been mostly supplanted by digital photography.  However, in a holiday that would be popular any time, today is Eat an Extra Dessert Day.  Go ahead… we did!
