What a wild night on the Late Late Show Wednesday!  The show opened with Craig on the set of The Big Bang Theory, and included the show’s cast members in tweets/emails, interviews and a great comedy sketch.  Tonight marked the season premiere of TBBT as well.  Movieline.com praised the Star Trek-style comedy sketch as “Saturday Night Live-ready”.  And among the tweets and emails read on the show was one from the RSA’s @Pezzylicious who had an appropriate tweet tied into TBBT.  Congrats, Penny!

Last night, Craig mentioned that Geoff Petersen was “on assignment” covering the red carpet premiere of Kristen Bell‘s new film You Again.  Today, he tweeted that we’ll get to see Geoff’s work on Friday’s Late Late Show:  Just saw Geoff Peterson’s red carpet coverage of @imkristenbell s new movie. Hilarious On Fri LLS. Thanks @joshrthompson. #gayrobotsft Geoff’s voice, Josh Robert Thompson tweeted about the premiere:  Geoff Petersen attends a movie premiere…IN YOUR PANTS! http://twitpic.com/2r3tor #RSA

Craig also attempted to stir up something with his late night rival Jimmy Fallon on Twitter today.  Fallon’s sister Gloria, comedy writer and author, had a birthday yesterday.  Did Jimmy forget?  Read Craig’s tweet and decide:   Happy Birthday yesterday @GloriaFallon123 although if you were my sister I would have remembered the actual day. #Imashitstirringprick

The Just Jared website had fun with Craig’s interview of Adam Brody on Tuesday.

On the Thursday edition of Late Late Show, Craig welcomes actors Jon Hamm and Jonathan Ames.  Then on Friday, actor Jason Schwartzman and the music of Willie Nelson.

The interwebs are buzzing about the cast of The Big Bang Theory on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and about Craig Ferguson on the premiere of TBBT.  Ken Tucker from Entertainment Weekly has a clip from Craig’s appearance on the sitcom (Note: The video itself was posted by CBS on Twitvid and seems to have quality issues with the picture. We found a clip with the video working better at ScreenCrave.com).

The folks at TVbytheNumbers.com note that due to her horse riding accident, cast member Kaley Cuoco will not likely appear on the LLS tonight, and TVGuide.com reports she was written out of the TBBT premiere… and that the show will go on extended haiatus awaiting her return, rather than trying to write her out of additional episodes.  Craig seemed to back that up her absence with a tweet tonight, mentioning only the men in the show’s cast:  The gentlemen of The Big Bang Theory were so fantastic on my show tonight that it was almost like a real tv show. I’m so proud. Thanks guys.

The RSA’s @Fergufool was kind enough to tweet:  In case Kaley doesn’t make the show bcause of the broken leg, here’s the Lip Plumper clip including her interview: http://j.mp/c3Gmip

Simon Helberg from TBBT also tweeted this afternoon:  Backstage at Ferguson. Craig drops by the Big Bang apartment, Kunal and I end up on a spaceship in the future, and other surprises. Tonight! Hellberg will be joined tonight by Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki and Kunal Nuyyar for a comedy sketch, tweets/emails and interviews tonight.  Don’t miss the show or Thursday night’s premiere of TBBT!

Hart Hanson, creator of the show Bones chimed in:  Ah, God, how terrible/great that @craigyferg is hosting Big Bang folks tonight on the late night’s best talk show. So confusing! Then moments later, he added:  How great and NON-CONFUSING is it that David Boreanaz will be on the @craigyferg show next Tuesday night? Absolutely true, HH… and nice plug for your guy.  David will indeed by on the show next week, according to the schedule.

Voice actor Josh Robert Thompson tweeted today as well:  Hijinx in Hollywood w/Geoff Petersen, the “Late Late Show” Crew and BETTY WHITE!!! #RSA We noticed that Betty has been added to Thursday’s list of guests scheduled for taping, so we’ll have to wait another night to see what happens.  For you Mythbusters fans, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman have been added to the guest list for early October.  Also added for later in October are Drew Carey and Deidrich Bader (both alumni of The Drew Carey Show) but appearing on different nights.  It does not appear that a DCS reunion is in the works but we’ll keep an eye on it for you.

Earlier in the day, Craig tweeted that he wasn’t looking forward to an appointment:  Off to have a cavity filled thus morning. Then I have to go to the dentist. Bah. Curse my Scottish teeth. But you’re an American now, Craig. You were outfitted with new teeth as part of your naturalization!  Let’s hope it went well.

Tonight on the Late Late Show, of course it is the big show with  Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg, Johnny Galecki and Kunal Nuyyar from The Big Bang Theory.  Thursday night will feature actors Jon Hamm and Jonathan Ames.

It started as an interchange between Craig Ferguson and Geoff Petersen. It became a thriving hashtag on Twitter among robot skeletons. Now, it’s a T-shirt. That’s right… now you can tuck an #inyourpants T-shirt #inyourpants, thanks to the RSA Store!

Craig tweeted just a short while ago:  I had an absolute grumblefuck of a day but then I saw the white knuckles bid on YouTube & cheered right up. Thanks okgo and dogs. The video to which he refers is this one:

There may be another night time show coming to Comedy Central, to play alongside The Daily Show and The Colbert Report… this time spoofing sports rather than the news, with Saturday Night Live alum Norm MacDonald as host. The Los Angeles Times talks about the people behind the show.

New Jersey’s News Record is talking up Craig’s upcoming stand up comedy performance.

On tonight’s Late Late Show, it’s actress Patricia Heaton, actor Adam Brody and music by Sara Bareilles.  Wednesday night, it’s a special show featuring the cast of The Big Bang Theory.

A lot of roboskellies have been hard at work since last night in the volcano overnight, attempting to get the hashtag #inyourpants to trend.  While it hasn’t reached the top ten there have been hundreds of fun posts, which you can check out on Twitter Search.

Singer Sara Bareilles got some great news when she was backstage at the Late Late Show, as the folks at allvoices.com report.  When was she backstage?  Well, earlier… even though she’s not on the show until Tuesday night (shh!).

Late Late Show producer Michael Naidus tweeted this earlier today:  Dare you not to smile. http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/video/video.php?v=148981611798356&ref=mf It’s a fun video, and RSA member @ilovethisrabbit tweeted shortly afterward:  @MICHAELNAIDUS JUST POSTED ONE OF MY FACEBOOK VIDEOS!!!!!!!!! How cool is that!!! That is very, very cool!

Canadian comedian Colin Mochrie sent Craig a cryptic tweet tonight:  @CraigyFerg Had an odd dream about you last night. If a cat warns you about a heat lamp…listen!  We can’t wait to find out what it all means.

Monday night on the Late Late Show, Craig talks with actress Mindy Kaling, whom Craig thanked in a tweet toinght:  Thanks @mindykaling for bringing much needed class to the LLS tonight. Please pardon my smutty robot skeleton. And Geoff Peterson. Craig also talks with CBS News journalist Steve Hartman, known for his wonderfully-crafted “Everybody Has A Story” feature stories.  And on Tuesday, watch for actress Patricia Heaton, actor Adam Brody and singer Sara Bareilles… live (shh!) though the magic of television.

If you listened carefully to Staephen Fry‘s radio interview from the BBC in yesterday’s post, he mentions that he’s scheduled to be a guest on the Late Late Show in November.  We’ll keep you posted on the date as it approaches!

We got the chuckle of the day from the RSA’s@ChosenMert:  #RSA @CraigyFerg should the phrase be #inyourWORLWIDEpants ? Maybe not… Could Craig go for the synergy with the parent production company? We’re guessing even corporate whores have their limits.

The ever-resourceful @Colleen_Byrne tracked down a radio interview on the BBC, where Stephen Fry mentions Craig:  Run to http://bbc.in/994gJC to hear Fred MacAuley interview Stephen Fry on BBC Radio Scotland. They sing Craig’s praises! #craigFerguson To hear just his portion of the show, look toward the bottom of the page and click on the link that says Stephen Fry-Interview.  It lasts about 22 minutes and the discussion about Craig is about halfway through.  The post will only be available until Tuesday, so be sure to listen soon!

If you don’t already follow the wonderful @bgrhubarb, we highly recommend that you do. She keeps up on all of Craig’s live appearances, ticket availability and so much more.  Her twitter page is daily reading for us!

The RSA’s one and only @Fergufool has a number of interesting Craig video clips on her YouTube channel, including our fearless leader doing a short promotional ad for the show that ran during the NCAA basketball tournament.

Willie Nelson

It’s another all-new week of episodes on the Late Late Show.  Hot off the presses, here’s a look at the week’s guests:  Monday kicks off with one of Craig’s favorites, actress Mindy Kaling along with journalist Steve Hartman from CBS News.  On Tuesday, actress Patricia Heaton, actor Adam Brody and the music of Sara Bareilles.  On Wednesday, Craig plans to enjoy the cast of The Big Bang Theory:  Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg, Johnny Galecki and Kunal Nuyyar will be there.  We’re waiting for word about Kaley Cuoco who is recovering from a horseback riding accident.  On Thursday, watch for actor Jon Hamm and actor Jonathan Ames.  Then Craig wraps up the week with actor Jason Schwartzman and the return of Willie Nelson, complete with shorter hair.

Craig is clearly on a roll.  He’s been making himself laugh along with the rest of us more and more lately.  Geoff Petersen is getting more involved in the show (not just #inyourpants) and the guests have been golden.  If you still have friends out there who aren’t watching the Late Late Show, there is no excuse.  Tell them to give it a try.  This is great television, friends.

Jennifer Finnigan had a great time as a guest on the Late Late Show and tweeted about it:  Thanks for all the awesome tweets re: my interview with @CraigyFerg!! So cool!!

RSA members @kal3igh and @LunaTechChick both had their tweets read by @CraigyFerg last night.  You could have your tweet or email read by Craig on the show, if you send it in.  Tweet it between 4-6pm ET/1-3pm PT for best results.  LLS assistant producer Andrea Wayland recommends that you don’t try to be funny… that’s Craig’s job.  Include your name and your town (or geotag if your twitter client has that feature) and you’ll have a chance.  We’ve lost track of how many member of the robot skeleton army have had their tweets read but it’s a bunch.  Go for it!

Randy Kagan, the comedian who gets the crowd rolling at Craig’s live stand up appearances, got to meet Robin Williams last weekend and sent a picture:  Robin and I 9/11/2010. http://yfrog.com/n099772107zx He also got to meet Don Rickles at the studio this week, and tweeted a short video clip:  There’s a lot of legends. Only one tells jokes. Ladies and Gentleman, Don Rickles. http://yfrog.com/f5ricklesz For a professional comedian to meet legends like those must feel great. Congrats, Randy!

The New York Times began publishing on this day in 1852.  If you live in Idaho, it’s Spud Day and it’s also National Play-Doh day.  We’ll be over at the table trying to make a lump of Play-Doh look like a dog if you need us.

In case you missed it, NBC is rebroadcasting the episode of Saturday Night Live from this past spring, hosted by Betty White.

The wire service UPI finally got around to reporting what you read here first more than a week ago:  The Late Late Show is planning an episode with all five lead cast members of the Big Bang Theory on September 22nd.  Tickets to the show taping are already sold out and CBS is talking about the upcoming show.  Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly reports that actress Kaley Cuoco will be absent from the season’s first few episodes (and we assume perhaps from next Wednesday’s Late Late Show) due to injuries she suffered in a horseback riding accident.

The RSA’s @Colleen_Byrne snapped some pictures at Craig‘s San Francisco stand up performance last Saturday night.

The RSA’s @greyblue_eyes tells us that author @StuartNeville‘s new book Collusion has an acknowledgment to Craig, thanking his chattiness for giving him such a boost in US & for being very sweary.  Hear, hear!

TVSquad.com is starting to post something about the Late Late Show almost every night.  This time, they had fun with Craig and William Shatner exchanging seats.  Craig tweeted about the experience:  My Lord William Shatner was crazysexycool on the show tonight. Hilarious. And very odd. #ithinkimightbegayforcaptainkirk

Tonight on the Late Late Show, Craig talks with actress Jennifer Finnigan (who tweeted after her interview was taped:  Just finished my @CraigyFerg interview, which airs Friday,it was a blast!! I can never say enough about him-smart, funny, kind!) and spends some quality time with fashion expert Tim Gunn (whispered:  Tim Gunn).
