Craig will be appearing live on stage in a different setting on November 2nd in Los Angeles. He’ll be a guest in comedian Lewis Black’s “In Conversation” series to help raise money for literacy programs. Tickets go on sale Saturday.

They’re still buzzing about the musical number on Wednesday’s show.  Wired.com is calling it “the best video ever made” (the clip is about halfway down the page).  Thanks to the RSA’s @Colleen_Byrne and @HMSFox for sending us the link.

For those RSA fans to get their Craigy fix on the interwebs rather than over the airwaves, our esteemed General @Malinky2Stoatir posted a brief message today letting us know about the first two days of next week:   Due to a scheduling conflict, the Malinky train will not be on time Monday or Tuesday…expected to return on schedule Wed. #CouldNotAvoidIt

Grant Imahara, creator of robot skeleton sidekick Geoff Petersen, tweeted this:  Apparently, my creation @GeoffTheRobot has developed tweet capability. (Official CBS account.) Be afraid. Be very afraid. To which Geoff replied:  Thanks @grantimahara for the shout out… And for giving me robotic life. After that, tweet capability was inevitable. Mwah-ha-ha, mwahhaha  Did I mention? Mwah ha ha! Mwa ha ha! And then today, Geoff tweeted:  Sure @grantimahara gave me life but sadly I’m knock-knock challenged. Mr F @CraigyFerg put me thru my paces last nite. I’ve been practicing We’ll have to keep an eye out for knock-knock jokes.

Watch the Late Late Show Thursday night and you’ll see interviews and performances by country rocker Toby Keith and comedian Louie Anderson.  On Friday, Craig welcomes actress Mary Lynn Rajskub and NASCAR driver Carl Edwards.

The volcano was buzzing last night as Craig opened the show with a long-awaited musical number featuring not only Wavy and Sid and Geoff but Mythbusters Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage as well.  As the RSA’s @Kelc 0519 put it:  Musical opening with Mythbusters, tweets/emails with Chris Hardwick, interview with Alfred Molina. What did we do to deserve the awesome?! That was definitely a whole lot of awesome packed into a few minutes of television.  And that Jamie really has some great moves, doesn’t he?  Even MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann weighed in, saying: I’d like to congratulate my friend Jamie Hyneman on surviving the opening bit on @CraigyFerg tonight with his dignity unbusted.  The people at National Public Radio liked it, too.  And is it insanity or “true television genius” as TV Squad suggests?  Decide for yourself.

Remember, when you buy a t-shirt, mug or other product from the RSA Store, all proceeds go to charity.  For the month of October, store-keeper @Colleen_Byrne tells us that in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  Colleen also says that if you want to make sure you get your shirt in time for Craig’s performances on the east coast, order as soon as possible. #inyourpants

The Atlantic magazine has a very nice article about Craig.

Geoff Petersen tweeted this evening:  Sooo glad for all the reax to Melt w U. You stop my world. Tonight we’re gonna have some rainy day fun. Where? In your…? Could be.  And maybe a brutal edit or two

Craig welcomes actress Debra Winger to Wednesday’s Late Late Show, along with actor Adhir Kalyan from the CBS comedy series Rules of Engagement and the music of Julie Gribble.  On Thursday, enjoy interviews and performances from country singer Toby Keith and comedian Louie Anderson.

Craig spent a fair amount of the intro and monologue of last night’s show talking about his cold/flu.  Hopefully he is feeling a little better tonight.  He enjoyed a successful road trip over the weekend, playing to big crowds in New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Kansas City.   The student run newspaper at the University of Rhode Island reviewed Saturday night’s show.

Comments have been pouring in about the RSA’s Annette Hanna who passed away on Monday.  We’ve updated Monday’s post with pictures and a link to her blog.  Randy Kagan tweeted about her last night:  i am very sad today. Annette was our roller angel. She was there from the begining. Breaks my Fn heart.  Rest in peace Ventilatorchik. Craig and I love her forever. Keep rollin to God. As you may have spotted in the comments, her life partner Jim is encouraging donations in Annette’s name to the Lollipop Theater Network, to honor her memory.

Geoff Petersen tweeted earlier today:  How about that Lauren Graham last night? What a peach! And to think she was here the day Mr F named me…

They’re not on the official guest list for tonight but Mythbusters Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage were in the studio today.  Adam tweeted this earlier today:  Lunch with @CraigyFerg and @nerdist just before. Then @CraigyFerg later! And Craig tweeted:  New @mythbusters start airing tomorrow on @discovery. You win basic cable company. I’ll pay And tonight, Adam added:  Watch @CraigyFerg tonight! Jamie and I did the cold open! Lipsynch madness!! And not only will there be a musical beginning, Chris Hardwick (@Nerdist) is on the show.  Craig let us know what’s happening:  I think @nerdist may drop by the show 2nite for emails & tweets. Now would be the time to ask those tough Dungeons & Dragons questions. So look out, skellies… it’ll be a big night!

Along with Jamie, Adam and Chris on tonight’s Late Late Show, Craig welcomes actor Alfred Molina and comedian Cory Kahaney.  On Wednesday, actress Debra Winger visits the studio along with actor Adhir Kalyan and musician Julie Gribble.

We are sorry to pass along some sad news. We have been informed that a loyal RSA member, Annette Hanna (@VentilatorChik), has passed away. She was a reader and contributor to the RSA News and was a tremendous fan of Craig Ferguson and the Late Late Show. Despite suffering from paralysis and needing a ventilator to breathe, she would travel to see Craig perform live on stage or attend a book signing, met him on more than one occasion and had planned to attend last night’s show in Kansas City. We’re told that she passed away in her sleep this morning, three weeks after a car accident that had thrown her from her chair.

She was a tenacious fighter who had battled spinal problems throughout her life and yet was scheduled to begin a PhD program at her local University this fall. We can all learn from her example and she will be missed. Randy Kagan tweeted about her:  i am very sad today. Annette was our roller angel. She was there from the begining. Breaks my Fn heart.  Rest in peace Ventilatorchik. Craig and I love her forever. Keep rollin to God. Thank you to the RSA’s @Fanny57, who let us know that arrangements are being handled by Meredith Funeral Home in Carbondale, IL. She asked that no formal service be held and in lieu of flowers, her life partner Jim is encouraging support for 0ne of Annette’s favorite charities, the Lollipop Theater Network, which she praised many times for their work bringing films to children in hospitals, since she spent many long months there several times in her life.  We encourage you to make a donation in her name if you choose. If you have memories of Annette that you’d like to share with the RSA, please include them in the comments section below. #RIPAnnette

Monday’s guests on the Late Late Show are actress Lauren Graham and singer Roseanne Cash.

Craig wraps up his latest three-day stand up tour in Kansas City tonight and will be back in Los Angeles for Monday’s Late Late Show.  He’ll be back on the road every night starting October 16th through the 23rd.  We’ll keep you up to date on the tour schedule.  The comedian who warms up the audience each night before Craig comes on is Randy Kagan.  He tweeted a photo from Kansas City this evening:  Just landed in KC. Time for BBQ! http://yfrog.com/jmr2fmj

Our friend @bgrubarb pointed out that in the Lollipop Theater Network auction, there are actually two chances to meet Craig backstage in New York on October 23rd.  He has two performances, one at 2pm and another at 7pm… and they are auctioning off a meet and greet opportunity for both shows!  The auction runs through October 19th, so place your bids soon!

When Craig’s novel Between the Bridge and the River came out in 2006, he spoke at length on the National Public Radio program Fresh Air.  It’s an interesting and enlightening discussion.  If you haven’t heard it before, please take a listen.

It’s another week of all-new episodes of the Late Late Show.  Things get started on Monday with the often cheeky actress Lauren Graham and a performance from singer Roseanne Cash.  On Tuesday, it’s actor Alfred Molina and comedian Cory Kahaney.  Actress Debra Winger and actor Adhir Kalyan are in the studio on Wednesday.  Then on Thursday, we’ll see interviews and performances from country singer Toby Keith and comedian Louie Anderson.  And on Friday, Craig chats with actress Mary Lynn Rajskub and NASCAR driver Carl Edwards.

Craig appeared live at the Ryan Center in Kingston, Rhode Island Saturday night.  Thanks to our friends there for sending us a picture of Craig as he took the stage.  CF heads on to Kansas City Sunday but he’s apparently not feeling his best according to his latest tweet:  Ugh. I’ve got shitty headcold. I’m drowning in phlegm & I’ve got a standup gig. I hope people don’t think I’m Welsh. Still funny, even with the cold.

Geoff Petersen has been tweeting again tonight:  How exciting! Craig makes one mention of my twitter and now I have followers. Is this the true beginning of the Robot Skeleton Army?  Bony high-5 to all who welcome me to Twitterland. If I had skin I would blush!  Especially fun to be with my tweeps on a Saturday nite. I’m eager for Monday so I can get back to the show and play with the Fergermeister.  I see mr F has a head cold. I hate those. Can’t blow your nose if you don’t have one! Geoff is definitely a popular fellow.  He’s only been on Twitter for a couple of days and already has nearly a thousand followers.

Meanwhile, in another part of the hollowed out volcano, construction of a new robot skeleton is underway, going by the name fergybot4000.   This isn’t just a twitter account, it’s a real robot being built by the RSA’s Tony Tzankoff (@tzankoff).  Tony tells us that construction is expected to be complete in time for Halloween.   He is also planning to post YouTube videos and eventually a website where other RSA members can  interact with… and get this… control the fergybot4000.  In the meantime, you can chat with him on Twitter:  @fergybot4000.  He tweeted earlier this evening:  It has come to my attention that the humans at @RSA_News have been made aware of my presence. Hopefully, new followers will…uhh…follow. An important note: So everyone understands, this is NOT someone pretending to be Geoff.  This is a new, different and real robot skeleton being made by a fan of the show who wanted to try his hand at building one… and he hopes you’ll join in on the fun.

October 2nd is World Teacher Day, National Custodial Day and Name Your Car Day.  Is it possible to name a car Craig?  And if so, what kind of car would it be?

Craig is in New Hampshire tonight at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom for the first of three stand up comedy appearances this weekend.  Saturday he’ll appear at the University of Rhode Island in Kingston and on Sunday, he’ll be in Kansas City at the Midland Theatre.  The rest of his October tour schedule resumes on October 16th, for a week of shows on the east coast.  A Kansas City website called Pitch.com is mentioning his Sunday night show.

It’s official, Geoff Petersen the robot skeleton sidekick has a twitter account.  Although several tweeters have posed as Geoff since he began appearing on the program, Craig himself confirmed on the air last night that @GeoffTheRobot is the real thing.  When we first got wind of the new account, Geoff had about a dozen followers.  After Craig’s on-air mention last night, Geoff is already over 500 followers.  There have been just a couple of tweets so far but we expect more in the coming days.  Oh my!

The animated film How to Train Your Dragon, in which Craig provided the voice of  Gobber the Belch comes out on DVD in two weeks, October 15th.

Although Craig is in New Hampshire tonight, through the magic of television (shh!) The Late Late Show goes merrily on, where actress Carey Mulligan returns to the show and we’ll enjoy the comedy of Marc Maron who tweeted:  Okay, I’ll do this again. I will be on The Late Late Show with @CraigyFerg tnite. I think it went well. You decide.
