Craig Ferguson‘s live stand up comedy performance at the WinStar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma has been rescheduled from February 5th to Saturday, February 12th due to bad weather.  We’re pretty sure Craig won’t mind getting the chance to stay home this weekend with his family’s newest arrival.  Your tickets are still valid for the new night.  And there are still tickets available for any last-minute travel plans.  Thackerville is 90 minutes north of the Dallas-Fort Worth airport… which itself probably a busy place this weekend due to some sort of sporting event nearby that we’ve been hearing about.

Craig’s assistant Rebecca Tucker sent out the word about the rescheduled show and also tweeted a great picture to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the USO, which Craig has supported by traveling to perform for American troops:  Happy 70th Birthday to the USO! http://twitpic.com/3whw05

Tickets go on sale at Noon ET/9am PT Saturday for Craig’s live show at Caesar’s in Windsor, Ontario. Check out our live comedy tour page for details and a ticket link.

Our friends at EPIX have posted a new video to preview Craig’s stand up comedy special on February 19th, and this one contains extended interviews with several roboskellies with familiar faces and Twitter names including @NancyinTampa @HMSFox @Saries Wick @VampireJess13 and @Diane4Mail.  Check it out on EpixHD.com and scroll down afterward for more preview videos added this week!

Careful viewers of the Late Show with David Letterman Thursday night heard radio host Howard Stern goading Dave into talking about how long he was going to keep doing the show.  Dave eventually said perhaps he’d stay another two years.  Media reports have his current deal expiring approximately in August of 2012, the same time Craig’s current contract for the Late Late Show is due to end.  This sent media watchers all aflutter in the blogosphere, including deathandtaxesmag.com, gothamist.com and avclub.com repeating the speculation in New York Times reporter Bill Carter‘s latest book about late night television that Craig would take over Dave’s show upon his departure.  This goes against what Craig has said in many interviews; that he prefers the lower profile and freedom his current time slot allows.  It’s still many months away and we’d prefer to wait and see what happens.

If you missed Dave’s answer to Howard’s question, it’s at about 1:30 into this clip:

Friday on the Late Late Show, Craig welcomes comedian/actor Matt Lucas.

There are hundreds of people who visit our site every day. If you miss a day here or there, we’ve added a little feature to make it easier to catch up. If you look near the bottom of the right-hand column, you’ll see something called “previous post”. It has a summary of the last post and a link to take you there.

STAND UP DATE RESCHEDULED: Craig‘s assistant Rebecca Tucker tells us Craig’s live stand up performance in Thackerville, Oklahoma has been rescheduled.  She tweeted on Friday:  Due to weather, Craig’s show at Winstar Casino in Thackerville has been rescheduled for February 12th. We hope everyone in Oklahoma and Texas stays safe during the bad weather.

Tickets are still available for the show. If you’re planning a last-minute trip, Thackerville is just a 90 minute drive from the Dallas-Fort Worth airport. Craig heads back to Los Angeles after the show for the Grammy awards ceremony the following night.  Next on the list of live shows are eight appearances in Denver, March 16-19.

The Twitterverse has been buzzing with baby news ever since the Ferguson‘s announcement Wednesday of the birth of their new son, Liam James Ferguson.  Craig’s late night competitor Jimmy Fallon tweeted:  Congrats to @craigyferg on your new baby boy!!! Craig is off for a few days, although this week’s episodes are all new, thanks to the magic of television.  Craig tweeted Thursday afternoon:  Thanks for all your kind tweets. I am currently rocking a poopy little dude on my lap. Then I’ll go home & see the baby. #newkidoldjokes

Update: Craig tweeted a baby picture… and probably the only one we’ll see for a while: http://yfrog.com/hs16hmej Whilst practicing yoga I noticed my left hand has become enormous. #nomorebabyphotossodontask

Craig reached another milestone this week, topping a half million followers on Twitter.  That ranks him 516th among all users of Twitter.  By comparison, RSA_News ranks 214,747th.  The RSA’s @MadDogStephen suggests trying to make the hashtag #halfmillionroboskellies trend.

Craig will be Conan O’Brien’s guest on TBS on Tuesday, February 8th.

While our fearless leader was surfing the internet, he came across a fun video by Scottish comedian Danny Bhoy, offering a tongue-in-cheek travelogue:  The delightful Danny Bhoy explains the Old Country perfectly.

Craig’s assistant Rebecca Tucker tweeted:  Did anyone else see on Craig on Cupcake Wars last night? Apparently it was.  An episode of the show was taped with the contests vying to serve stars at the Grammy nominations concert, which Craig co-hosted.  If you missed it, don’t worry.  The RSA’s @SexyCraigFerg checked out the show’s website, which tells us the episode will re-air Sunday, February 6th at 11pm ET/PT, again three hours later on Monday, February 7th at 2am ET/PT and once more on Saturday, February 19th at 4pm ET/PT.

Thursday on the Late Late Show, “How you doin’?”  Actor Matt LeBlanc joins Craig, along with technology writer David Pogue. On Friday, Craig welcomes comedian/actor Matt Lucas.  Comedian Kurt Metzger was on the list for Wednesday but will be rescheduled.

Some additional improvements have come to the site this week, including the feedburner RSS service, which will allow you to more easily subscribe to the blog through your preferred reader (using the RSS link on the left side of the page) or a daily email of the blog after it is posted (using the sign up box in the right-hand column).  There is now a guest list page (just updated) and an up-to-date live appearance page reachable through the top menu.  We’ve also moved the “Contact Us” form to its own page (link at the bottom of the page) and added feeds of our tweets, Craig’s tweets and a stream of tweets related to Craig, the show and the RSA to the bottom of the page.  As always, we appreciate your feedback on how well these things work for you.

Psst: We’ve also added a box near the bottom of the right-hand column that makes it easy to jump back to the previous post. We hope it comes in handy if you miss a day or two and want to catch up. Check it out: —>

As we reported Wednesday afternoon, Craig Ferguson and his wife Megan Wallace-Cunningham welcomed a baby boy into the world on Monday named Liam James Ferguson.  Liam joins his brother, nine year-old Milo in the Ferguson family.  A representative for Craig confirmed the birth to People Magazine.  Word quickly spread through the hollowed-out volcano and dozens of media outlets within hours, including TheTVRealist.com, E! Online, the Toronto Sun, TVGuide, Examiner.com, Entertainment Tonight, ContactMusic.com, PopEater.com, OnTheRedCarpet.com, CelebrityBabyScoop.com, AmericanSuperstarMag.com, ology.com, US Magazine and USA Today, TVSquad, and the UK’s Daily Mail.  No pictures were provided to People Magazine and given Craig’s desire for privacy, we don’t expect them to be released any time soon.  Craig has always said that he would talk about his family only when he wants to, which is as it should be.  This week’s episodes of the Late Late Show were taped last week (shhh!) so any on-air mention of the new arrival won’t happen until next Monday at the earliest.

The folks at EPIX have added a new preview video for Craig’s upcoming stand up comedcy special:  Hot off the press!! New clip from @CraigyFerg‘s upcoming special Does This Need to Be Said? http://epx.ms/e7ANPB HILARIOUS!

Randy Kagan tweeted:  Randy Kagan Show now on itunes. It’s worth every penny.

Along with the many positive reviews of the Late Late Show’s tribute to Black History Month that appeared in the media on Tuesday, National Public Radio provided an extensive review on its website today.

Wednesday on the Late Late Show, it’s The Big Bang Theory‘s Jim Parsons and comedian Kurt Metzger. On Thursday, Craig welcomes actor Matt LeBlanc and technology writer David Pogue.

It’s a boy!

The demand to see Craig Ferguson live and person is strong in Denver. The folks at the Comedy Works have added an 8th show to Craig’s run at 10:30pm on March 16th. Tickets are available for that show as well as a few for the 10:30 performance on March 17th.  Thanks to the sharp-eyed @Colleen_Byrne for spotting the added show.  Craig has single performances scheduled in Thackerville, Oklahoma February 5th and Windsor, Ontario on April 23rd.  Book early to avoid disappointment!

The New York Times reported Monday on the state of late night television and the search for younger audience demographics.

The RSA’s General @Malinky2Stoatir reached into the archives and pulled out Craig’s appearance on Larry King Live from October of 2009.

CBS’s Hallmark Hall of Fame movie The Lost Valentine starring Betty White and Jennifer Love Hewitt had the largest audience for a Hallmark movie in four years, according to the Nielsen ratings service.  Betty equals success.

Monday on the Late Late Show, Craig welcomes TV show host Rachel Ray.  Then on Tuesday, it’s a special LLS episode celebrating Black History month with philosopher/author Dr. Cornel West and a performance by musician George Clinton, one of the great icons of funk.  We said funk!

Late Late Show regular Betty White has won the Screen Actor’s Guild Award for Outstanding Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role on Hot In Cleveland.  She was greeted with a standing ovation by the assembled crowd Sunday evening.  Meanwhile, Betty’s latest television movie with Jennifer Love Hewitt The Lost Valentine was playing on CBS, so she’s keeping busy at 89.  Go Betty!

Back in 2008, Ohio’s Columbus Dispatch ran a nice article about Craig.  It’s interesting how peaceful the world late night television was then, with Conan O’Brien poised to take over the Tonight Show.

In 2007, Craig took a moment to talk about the race for the White House, the space program and Larry King.  Do we have a picture of Kenny Rogers?
