Craig reminded everyone the Geoff Petersen is on E!’s The Soup Friday night at 10pm ET:  Geoff Peterson to appear on the soup tonight. Part of my masterplan to make @joelmchale think he’s fat. If you miss the first airing, the show runs again several times over the weekend and early next week.

@GeoffTheRobot tweeted:  “Robot Skeleton Army: check me out in a studio with PROPER lighting… Tonight 10 PM on @TheSoup !! #cbscares”  http://twitpic.com/48jekx He even tweeted the man who built him:  Hey @grantimahara check out your favorite robot on E! tonight. And after watching Ryan Seacrest, watch me on The Soup at 10 p.m. CBS publicist Katie Barker said:  Fun night at The Soup w the always hysterical @JoelMcHale & surprise guest… @Geofftherobot tune in tomorrow 10 pm E! And Josh Robert Thompson added:  I will be on “The Soup” as voice of @GeoffTheRobot tonight on E! #RSA

Craig’s assistant Rebecca Tucker retweeted a sentiment that has been making its way around Twitter:  I think the best way to honor the victims of the earthquake/tsunami is by unfollowing @charliesheen, your turn America. #prayforjapan

To help those affected by the earthquake in Japan and the resulting tsunami around the Pacific Rim, you can make a donation to the Red Cross on their website or by texting REDCROSS to 90999 to make an instant $10 donation.

Among those affected by the Tsunami was ABC’s late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel who had been vacationing in French Polynesia.

Good news for viewers of the Late Late Show in central Oklahoma from the Oklahoman newspaper:  The CBS affiliate in Oklahoma City is dropping it reruns of Seinfeld and moving up the LLS to 11:35pm immediately after David Letterman starting March 21st.  A completely off-the-mark-blogger for the paper said he’d rather DVR episodes of the tired, overworked series that ended 13 years ago and stopped being funny before that, than watch the best late night show on television today.  Whoops… did we say that out loud?  We’re hoping he actually watches the show and realizes what he’s missing.

Nashville.com appreciated Trace Adkins position on fru-fru coffee.  And TVSquad.com reports on Wanda Sykes appearance on the show Thursday night.

Legendary comic book writer Stan Lee has been tweeting about Craig again but it sounds like he doesn’t plan to start up any new battles against the Robot Skeleton Army.

It’s hard not to like the tweet of Geoff’s builder @GrantImahara:  [x]Single [ ]Taken [x]Creating robot army

Friday on the Late Late Show, Craig welcomes actress Amanda Peet and comedian Phil Hanley.  There will be three more new episodes next week before the show heads into re-runs for the NCAA tournament.  Among the guests scheduled to visit the studio in the next few weeks are  Lewis Black, Martha Stewart, Seth Rogen, Bob Geldof, DL Hughley, Paul Giamatti, Helen Hunt, Tom Selleck, Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Steven Wright.  Check out our Guests page for the complete up-to-date list.

Craig tweeted some news on Thursday:  Geoff Peterson to appear on another TV show! It’s like “A Star is Born.” I’m Kris Kristofferson and he’s Barbara Streisand. Josh Robert Thompson also dropped a hint:  At CBS, recording some @GeoffTheRobot dialogue for a top secret TV appearance! Stay tuned… Craig’s recent “Follow Monday” recommendation @BadAstronomer hazarded a guess: Oh, tell me it’s “Bones” and make all my dreams come true. #Humerus

CBS publicist Katie Barker added this on Thursday evening:  I am preparing my car 4 something that will make the #RSA very happy! More to come soon… And as for the @GeoffTheRobot’s own Twitter account, he sent out his first tweet in more than two months, with a tantalizing tidbit:  I’ve left the studio and I’m so close to @ryanseacrest right now I can smell him. More to come… Oh my.

UPDATE:  It turns out the show Geoff will be appearing on is E!’s The Soup with Joel McHale, as Geoff tweeted late Thursday night:  Sorry @CraigyFerg there’s a new man in my life. Geoff Peterson & @joelmchale, tomorrow [Friday] night, 10 p.m. on E! #balls Be sure to tune in to the E! channel at 10pm Eastern Time (and we’re guessing 10pm on the west coast feed as well) to see Geoff on The Soup!

Flaubert, with what appeared to be more hair on his head and larger sideburns, made a surprise appearance during tweets and emails on Wednesday.  Maybe we’ll get to see more of the bourgeois-eschewing swine in the future.  Say that five times fast.

The Mythbusters @GrantImahara had perhaps the best response to Craig’s “ass tweet” Wednesday night (see our previous post):  Ha! I’m sure by tomorrow, there will be a dozen twitter accounts pretending to be your ass. Wait, that didn’t sound right… The RSA’s @KarlynMyJournal noticed that just moments after Craig’s “ass tweet”, the Dalai Lama announced he would be stepping down soon as Tibet’s governmental leader.  If Craig’s ass can tweet things so profound, we’ll all have to step up our game.

TVSquad.com heard Trace Adkins warn Craig about mispronouncing Matthew McConaughey-hona-hon-hey’s name.  And Movieline.com dug the new puppet on the show, “Big T”.  The folks at Folkmanis Puppets tweeted:  In case you’re wondering, the cowboy puppet that was on @CraigyFerg last night was not a Folkmanis Puppet. http://bit.ly/asMAbA Sid is : )

Thursday on the Late Late Show, Craig chats with actress/former talk show host/comedienne Wanda Sykes and actor Kevin McKidd.  Then on Friday, Craig welcomes actress Amanda Peet and comedian Phil Hanley.

Canada’s Windsor Star is previewing upcoming events at Caesar’s, including Craig‘s live stand up performance on April 23rd.  Tickets for the show are still available.  Also on our Live Comedy Tour page, the last of Denver’s Wednesday, March 16th tickets have been sold but tickets remain for a pair of Sunday, March 20th performances.

Craig’s assistant Rebecca Tucker is back in training:  Proud to be running the Marine Corp Marathon in October for Team USO!

The LLS Wrapup:  The Detroit Free Press had an article about the pizza waitress who appeared on the opening segment of Tuesday’s LLS.  The Washington Examiner heard Craig’s joke about the President’s parent-teacher conference.  Movieline.com liked the dynamic between the sultry Catherine Deneuve and the appreciative Craig Ferguson.  TVSquad.com focused on Topher Grace and Craig talking Tuesday about how Bob Saget‘s stand up comedy differs from his image on Full House.  And Hollywood.com enjoyed Topher’s efforts to create a glazed-over look.

The New York Times reports Craig’s “Teen Media” monologue was used to open a concert by rapper Lupe Fiasco.  Thanks to @SexyCraigFerg for the heads up.

Good news for Doctor Who fans: New episodes are coming to BBC America on April 23rd, according to the @Nerdist Chris Hardwick, who also posted an excellent mashup showing what the DW opening credits would look like if Joss Whedon produced them.

The RSA’s @DariaBilowus sent us a picture with this tweet:  I think I have watching Geoff to closely. http://yfrog.com/h76eansj Maybe the effect wears off after a while.  Keep everyone in the household under observation.

Country singer Trace Adkins will be performing the song “Brown Chicken Brown Cow” on Wednesday’s LLS.  According to Nashville.com, the singer says he should have released the tune as a single.  Craig added this tweet:  Good Lord @TraceAdkins was funny on the show tonight. But his puppet is pretty dirty. #thatscode.

Wednesday on the Late Late Show, along with Trace Adkins (thanks to @incountrymusic for the behind-the-scenes photos), watch for actor Windell Middlebrooks.  Then on Thursday, Craig welcomes comedienne Wanda Sykes and actor Kevin McKidd.

Craig favored us with an unexpected tweet late Wednesday evening:  Weltanscaung Followed seconds later by this:  Oops. Ass tweet. As you were everyone. Xxx Shortly afterward he realized:  Hmmm. My ass tweeted a word that looks suspiciously like weltanschauung. I find that encouraging in an odd way. Indeed.  Weltanschauung is the German for “world view”.  A totally new philosophical angle on things.

How To Train Your Dragon 2, sequel to the hit animated film, will reach theaters on June 20, 2014 according to Dreamworks Animation.  The announcement was also covered by UPI and ropeofsilicon.com.  Three years is a while to wait for Craig Ferguson to return as the voice of Gobber the Belch but in the meantime, we’ll get to a see a feature film treatment of Mr. Peabody and Sherman from the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show and Madagascar 3.

Craig was skeptical of Aaron Eckhart’s snake story, says TVSquad.com, while Hollywood.com was appalled that Eckhart doesn’t like movies.  Movieline.com focused on the opening segment and Craig’s recently divorced guest.

CityViewMag.com lists Craig’s appearances at the Comedy Works as something to do in Denver in March… it’s too bad they headlined the paragraph with the name of an unrelated comedy club in Los Angeles.

The British Band Stackridge is due to appear on the Late Late Show on March 14th and are picking up more media coverage as the date nears, including this mention in BeatlesNews.com.

Josh Robert Thompson was in the CBS studios today:  At CBS today, working amongst the ghosts of legends. http://yfrog.com/h0gtyelj

Perhaps the biggest news on Monday night’s show apart from Scotland showing us their beavers and Craig breaking the camera again was that Geoff Petersen‘s bits are no longer in customs and have arrived!  We’re not sure what that means but perhaps one day we’ll find out.

On Tuesday’s Late Late Show, Craig welcomes actor Topher Grace and Academy Award-nominated actress Catherine Deneuve.   LLS Producer Michael Naidus added a tantalizing tweet:  Hey – Shields Restaurant, Bar, and Pizza in Troy, Michigan … Tonight [Tuesday] is YOUR night on The Late Late Show! Then on Wednesday, country singer/songwriter Trace Adkins returns to the show, along with actor Windell Middlebrooks.

Craig Ferguson sent out a flurry of “Follow Monday” tweets, encouraging his followers to check out @BadAstronomer (Phil Plait), philosopher and author @CornelWest, renaissance man @stephenfry, the Mythbusters @donttrythis (Adam Savage), another Mythbuster and builder of Geoff Petersen @grantimahara and singer/songwriter @rosannecash.  Give them a try if you haven’t already.

@BadAstronomer responded by saying:  You should all know that @CraigyFerg is handsome and smart and funny and possesses extraordinary powers of perception. #True He followed that with:  For all my new Robot Skeleton Army followers, here’s my blog post about claims of alien life in a meteorite: http://is.gd/6kBlNQ @CornelWest thanked Craig: Bless you, Brother! and then said:  @CraigyFerg But I’m not an optimist, that’s too thin…I’m a prisoner of #hope. Criag responded:   that’s what I meant to say. @roseannecash was pleased as well:  What a bonnie lad. And she added:  The sheer power of a nod from @CraigyFerg is astonishing. Hello, squillion new followers. You are all very attractive. She is right… the power of @CraigyFerg is strong, with 558,000+ followers are growing.

One of Craig’s funniest forays into film was The Big Tease. For our readers in the UK, you’ll have a chance to see the film Tuesday evening at 10:35pm GMT on ITV. Thanks to @warning05 for the heads up! Here is the trailer from the movie:

A careful observer will note that David Letterman, Jay Leno, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Carson Daly are all in re-runs this week but the Late Late Show still has fresh, new episodes!  Monday on the show, Craig welcomes actor Aaron Eckhart and comedienne Paula Poundstone.  Then on Tuesday, watch for actor Topher Grace and actress Catherine Deneuve.

In our Saturday post, we included a clip from French talk show host Jaques “Arthur” Essbag, showing some behind-the-scenes video from his visit to Craig and the Late Late Show.  The clip comes from his show and is of course entirely in French.  But thanks to the RSA’s @toin9898, we now have a translation of what was said.  She posted the transcript on Twitlonger for your enjoyment.

One of the RSA’s most loyal New Zealanders is @robtreacher, who recently wrote a blog post explaining how Craig is not the typical talk show host and why more people should watch him.

The New York Times opens its attempt to explain the public fascination with Charlie Sheen with Craig’s choice to steer away from jokes about the situation.

Comedienne Paula Poundstone will be on the show Monday night.  Here is a short clip from a recent appearance:

Catherine Deneuve

It’s another week of all-new episodes of the Late Late Show, beginning Monday with actor Aaron Eckhart and comedienne Paula Poundstone.  Tuesday, it’s actor Topher Grace and actress Catherine Deneuve.  On Wednesday, country singer and now film actor Trace Adkins returns to the show, along with actor Windell Middlebrooks.  Actress/comedienne Wanda Sykes and actor Kevin McKidd will be Craig’s guests.  And on Friday, Craig welcomes actress Amanda Peet and comedian Phil Hanley.

Could they become the most well-traveled kangaroo bits in history?  On Friday night’s show, Craig loaned the gift he received from Carrie Fisher to explorer and author Wendy Booker, who promised to take them on her dog sled trip to the North Pole this spring.  We’ll look forward to seeing her bring them back to the show after her trip… Craig is looking forward to the call from the Guinness Book of World Records.

A blogger says the best late night comedy isn’t coming from the most visible hosts.

Hollywood.com has the latest battle in the late night world… this time it’s over ice cream.

Anglotopia.com thanks Craig for his segment on the Doctor Who convention in Los Angeles.

Hugh Laurie’s return to the Late Late Show this past week created a lot of buzz, including making “Hugh Laurie” trend on Twitter. For those who just can’t get enough of Craig and Hugh, here’s a look at Hugh’s second appearance on the show back in 2005:

And here is Hugh’s third turn on the show, from 2008:

Saturday, March 5th is Crispus Attucks Day, St. Piran’s Day and it’s Carnival in Brazil. Similarly, Sunday, March 6th is Shrove Sunday and Fasching in Germany and Austria, leading up to Ash Wednesday this week. Sunday is also the 175th anniversary of the fall of the Alamo and the birthday of poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning:
