Craig Ferguson and Randy Kagan probably know their way around the LoDo neighborhood of Denver at this point, now well into their long run at the Comedy Works.  The Denver Post calls the show one of the best shows to see in the city this week.

More live shows added in Canada and Minnesota:  Canadians are buzzing now that Craig has booked FIVE shows in the Great White North.  As we reported Thursday, he’ll be playing two venues in the Vancouver area in May, in addition to his already announced show in Windsor, Ontario in April.  Then late on Friday, Craig’s assistant Rebecca Tucker confirmed Craig will be in Toronto and Montreal in July.  Tickets for Vancouver are already on sale… tickets for the eastern cities are not yet available.  Also announced today, Craig will be performing two shows at the Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake, Minnesota just south of Minneapolis in September.  That’s a total so far of 23 live stand up shows in 2011 and there may be more.  You can see all the details on our Live Comedy Tour page.

We’re staring to heat from roboskellies who have attended the Denver stand up shows.  Check out the comments below our most recent post to see what they have to say.

Howard Stern asked Jimmy Fallon last night about whether his show tops Craig Ferguson in the ratings.  Jimmy said that the two shows tend to trade the lead back and forth.  The relevant clip is the first of the three on the Late Night episode‘s page.

Happy birthday to LLS assistant producer Andrea Wayland.

Friday on the Late Late Show, it’s the January 12th episode featuring actor David Duchovny and TV nanny Jo Frost.  The re-run fairy continues to sprinkle us with encore shows all next week.  Details are on our Guests page.  New episodes resume March 28th.

Craig Ferguson and Randy Kagan are on stage now through Sunday at the Comedy Works in Denver.   We’re told that some roboskellies have tickets to several shows and we hope to hear from them, so we can pass along their experiences.  All tickets for Denver are sold out.  The RSA’s @SecretNakedHobo got some pictures from inside the club, including the stage, a poster and the crowd waiting for the show to begin.

Craig’s assistant Rebecca Tucker is having a good time in the mile-high city:  running in high altitude: check. delicious bison burger: check. seeing boss kick ass with his new act: check. i love denver The RSA’s @jessnormal noticed on her way to the show that robot skeletons from the Hollowed Out Volcano apparently have our own lane on the highway.

Two new tour venues added: West coast Canadians will get two chances to see Craig May 27th and 28th in the Vancouver area.  BUY NOW because tickets are going fast!  Plus, tickets are now on sale for Craig’s appearance at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the Boys and Girls Club fundraiser in Carmel, California.  Our Live Comedy Tour page has details and links.  Book early to avoid disappointment!

The RSA’s @SariesWick has compiled a video collection of The Drew Carey Show.

Several CBS celebrities have made their NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament picks, including Geoff Petersen.  Gather.com reports Geoff thinks Ohio State will win it all.

TVSquad.com reports on Seth Rogen‘s admission that he is rather hirsute.

Thursday on the Late Late Show, it’s a rebroadcast of the January 7th show with actress Mila Kunis and Las Vegas comedian Geechy Guy.  On Friday, watch for the January 12th episode featuring actor David Duchovny and TV nanny Jo Frost.

Craig Ferguson is in Denver for a ten-show run at the Comedy Works, March 16th through the 20th.  He is experimenting with new material, deciding what works and what doesn’t in front of a smaller audience before taking it on the road to larger venues in April and May.  Craig’s opening act, comedian Randy Kagan is back as well, tweeting on Wednesday morning:  On way to Denver with CF. Last time we were there I was a mile high. Now i’m a mile sober. There are a few tickets remaining for the 8:30pm performance on Sunday.  Craig’s next run of shows on the road will begin April 23rd in Windsor, Ontario.  Details are on our Live Comedy Tour page.

If you get a chance to see Craig on stage in Denver this week, we’d like to hear about it and share your experience with the rest of the RSA.  Check out our submission guidelines in The HOV.  Please note:  Craig does not allow video to be taken at his live appearances and we will not post or link to any.  We have been hearing that the club might not be allowing still photography because of the close quarters.  Craig otherwise allows still pictures, so if you happen to get any, we’ll post them.

Tuesday’s LLS wrapup:  TVSquad.com enjoyed the saucy banter between Craig and Martha Stewart on Tuesday’s show.  New York Magazine‘s Vulture page caught Craig’s question about whether Martha puts out on a second date.  Eater.com noticed that Martha ate a Pop Tart on the show.  BrowardPalmBeach.com blogged about Stewart’s Scottish last name.  And curbed.com focused on her comment that she could not land a helicopter at her estate.

In case you missed Geoff Petersen‘s appearance on E!’s The Soup with Joel McHale, here are the clips in which he appeared:

Geoff’s voice, Josh Robert Thompson answered a bunch of fan questions on his Twitter account today.  Follow him and keep an eye on his tweets… he offers to answer questions from time to time.

Wednesday on the Late Late Show, Craig welcomes actor Seth Rogen and actress Brie Larson.  On Thursday, the re-run fairy returns with the January 7th episode, featuring actress Mila Kunis and comedian Geechy Guy.

March 17th is Saint Patrick’s Day, celebrating Saint Patrick, who is said to have driven the snakes from Ireland.  Some scholars dispute this account but it makes for a good excuse to wear green.  In that same spirit, March 16th is celebrated in some areas as Saint Urho’s Day… a holiday to celebrate the man who drove the grasshoppers from the lettuce fields of Finland.  Yes, it’s a completely made-up holiday, concocted in 1950’s as a way to good-heartedly compete with Irish celebrations.  But it makes for a good excuse Finns to wear purple.  Take that, fans of interesting holidays.

Tickets are nearly sold out for Craig’s ten-show run in Denver.  The RSA’s ticket flogger @bgrhubarb got us up to speed, pointing out that the early show on Sunday is now sold out, leaving only the 8:30pm performance still available.  A quick survey of Craig’s April tour venues shows that good seats are still available for all shows.  We have links to ticket information on our Live Comedy Tour page.  Book early to avoid disappointment!

Geoff Petersen has his own Wikipedia page.  By way of clarification, we have consistently spelled his name PetersEn instead of PetersOn, based on Craig’s own tweets about him.  His name is spelled with an ‘E’ on his IMDB page and in the show’s credits.  The Wikipedia page title still uses an ‘O’.  We admit this may be a losing battle.  Meanwhile, Geoff’s voice, actor Josh Robert Thompson confirmed on his twitter account that Geoff’s bits are out of customs:  They are firmly in hand. RT @LaurieFiess: Hey, didn’t we hear last week Geoff’s bits and pieces aren’t in Customs anymore?

TVSquad.com thought Lewis Black made his point on Monday’s show.  Hollywood.com posted the full interview as well.

[pullquote]“Actually, there is no war.
     Craig is a friend.”
          -Jimmy Fallon
[/pullquote]We’re seeing more comments from Jimmy Fallon at Paleyfest last Friday.  He told CraveOnline.com, there is no war between late night hosts.  We’ve seen able evidence of this with the two shooting spaghetti at each other, waving with [not] Mickey Mouse hands [for legal reasons] and exchanging Christmas gifts.

A blogger for ComicBookResources.com says he’d hire Craig to write an Aquaman comic book.  We agree, as long as he could bring along Tim Gunn (whispered:  Tim Gunn).

In an interview with MTV News posted by slashfilm.com, How To Train Your Dragon star Jay Baruchel added fuel to the idea that HTTYD will be a film trilogy when all is said and done.  The film’s co-director said as much to The Hollywood Reporter, which we reported back in February.

Randy Kagan has a new podcast available.

It was nice to see Kronos, King of the Monkey People return to the show. Thank goodness they ran out of material. Who can forget when Kronos showed off his yodeling skills two years ago:

Tuesday on the Late Late Show, Craig talks and cooks with domestic doyenne Martha Stewart.  On Wednesday, Craig welcomes actor Seth Rogen and actress Brie Larson.

It’s a great day for America and for the British folk/pop/alternative rock band Stackridge.  More than 40 years after they first began performing, they make their American television debut Monday night on the Late Late Show.  They tweeted late Sunday:  After waiting for 5 months since we were in Hollywood can hardly believe that in just over 24 hours time we will be on CBS TV in the USA !

Bones producer Hart Hanson wants Geoff Petersen on his show:  The exact moment when @craigyferg mentions Bones and Bones Power. Should we book Geoff? http://twitpic.com/49byiu

Psst!  Hey Tulsa!  Tickets for Craig’s April stand up show at the Hard Rock Casino go on sale this Thursday… details are on our Live Comedy Tour page.  Meanwhile, Californians can see Craig and benefit charity at the same time:  The Boys & Girls Clubs of Monterey County hold an annual fundraising auction each year called “Comics for Kids”.  This time, Craig will be the feature entertainer at the event on April 16th.  Thanks to the RSA’s @SariesWick for sending us the link.

Comic book legend Stan Lee is reassuring some of his restless fans that his brief feud with Craig is long over:  For example, many ask if CraigyFerg is our #1 foe! I say thee “Nay.” T’was but a fun feud. Thy leader is a fan of yon smiling Scot

Yahoo Travel is calling Glasgow one of the world’s most underrated cities, citing its music scene as a reason to visit.

We’re in a mood to dance, so we called on Saffron Burrows to help:

Monday on the Late Late Show, Craig welcomes back comedian Lewis Black, and we’ll see the American television debut of the band Stackridge.  On Tuesday, Craig chats with entrepreneur Martha Stewart.

Craig Ferguson is preparing for a ten-show run at the Comedy Works in Denver, starting Wednesday, March 16th.  Both he and his opening act, comedian Randy Kagan have been working up new material and will have a chance to use it in front of some sold-out but comparatively smaller crowds before heading back to the big auditoriums later in the spring.  Check out our Live Comedy Tour page for all of the venues currently on the list and ticket information.  Don’t forget, there are still Sunday night tickets available in Denver!

Craig retweeted Scottish comedian and BBC radio host Fred MacAulay‘s tweet on Sunday:  Just back from Stornoway. Comedians….get yourselves up to an lanntair! What a gig. An Lanntair is an arts center that has exhibits, films, theater, comedy and more located in the city of Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, the largest island of the Outer Hebrides, which is part of Scotland.  Brush up on your Gaelic before visiting… it’s heavily used in the islands.

Brie Larson

There are no tapings going on in the studio at CBS Television City for the next two weeks but thanks to the hard work of the LLS crew, we’ll get to see three more all-new episodes of the Late Late Show before the re-run fairy settles in for the next seven shows.  First up on Monday is comedian Lewis Black and music by the British band Stackridge.  On Tuesday entrepreneur Martha Stewart is on the show.  And on Wednesday, Craig welcomes actor Seth Rogen and actress Brie Larson.  On Thursday, we’ll see the January 7th episode, featuring actress Mila Kunis and Las Vegas comedian Geechy Guy.  Then on Friday, we’ll catch up with the January 12th episode with actor David Duchovny and TV nanny Jo Frost.

The encore shows on Thursday and Friday may air significantly later that 12:35pm or be pre-empted entirely, depending on how long the NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament games run.  In past years, the tournament has tended to push start times for local news, The Late Show with David Letterman and the LLS back at least an hour.  Check out our Guests page for a full list of the next week’s encore episodes and guests who have been scheduled to appear on future shows.  New episodes resume on March 28th.

Daylight Saving Time begins at 2am local time on Sunday, March 13 in most of the United States and Canada… although not in Arizona (except the Navajo Reservation), most of Saskatchewan and parts of British Columbia.  Everywhere else, “spring forward” and set your clocks one hour AHEAD before heading to bed on Saturday night.  That means you will lose an hour of sleep… unless you set the alarm an hour later like we plan to. If you want to have an excuse for being an hour late to church Sunday morning, now is the time to use it.  This would also be a good opportunity to check the batteries in your smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector and make sure your fire extinguisher is charged.  Safety first!

The @Nerdist Chris Hardwick interviewed Jimmy Fallon at the Paley Festival in Los Angeles Friday evening, where they talked about late night comedy and both took a stab at Craig Ferguson impressions. Check out the blow-by-blow coverage from TheFutonCritic.com.  For a brief excerpt of their discussion, visit the Paley Center website.

Geoff Petersen enjoyed his time on E!’s The Soup with Joel McHale:  Thanks for all the love, RSA. First “The Soup”. Next, THE WORLD!! #delusionalrobot In case you missed Geoff’s appearance, it will re-air several times Sunday, Monday and Tuesday on E!.  Geoff’s builder, the Mythbusters @GrantImahara added:  Geoff, I’m very proud of you. You’re “blowin’ up” as the kids say…

Craig’s How To Train Your Dragon co-star Jay Baruchel is engaged.

From the “duh” department of unnecessary studies, it appears that Canadians spend more time online than everyone else.  This study is only slightly less obvious than those that show Canadians are better at those bar-based satellite-linked electronic trivia games, have a higher tolerance for enduring cold weather and enjoy hockey a little bit too much.  Congrats on winning another one, eh?  Pass us a six-pack of Labatt Blue.

Saturday, March 12th is the anniversary of the founding of the Girl Scouts (we like their cookies but also their tireless service to their communities), the birthday of writer Jack Kerouac, Genealogy Day for researching your family history and International Fanny Pack Day.  Sunday, March 13th is the anniversary of the Ken Doll, Good Samaritan Involvement Day, National Open an Umbrella Indoors Day and… we know Craig would like this:  Planet Uranus Day.  We said Uranus!
