Note:  A few skellies have expressed disappointment that the Late Late Show was not among this year’s winners of the George Foster Peabody Award.  You should know that the Peabody is a very prestigious award focused primarily on journalism and is extremely difficult to win once, let alone twice.  For most, it is a once in a lifetime honor, so we can be very proud of Craig, Executive Producer Peter Lassally, Producer Michael Naidus, Director Brian McAloon, Segment Producer Lisa Ammerman and everyone at the Late Late Show for their impressive win in 2010.

Our fearless leader @CraigyFerg continues to expand his reach on Twitter, surpassing 600 thousand followers on Thursday.  Once the statistics catch up, that might be enough to put him in the top 500 Twitter users worldwide in terms of followers.

TVSquad.com posted a clip of Matthew McConaughey and Craig talking about Trace Adkins.  Monsters and Critics zeroed in on McConaughey’s criticism of a Broadway director.  And PopSugar.com was interested in McConaughey’s discussion about having more children.  (Note:  If you get the pop-up screen on the PopSugar website, just refresh the page in your browser and it will go away.)

Actress Jeri Ryan heard about Craig’s comments on Wednesday night’s show and responded: [quotetweet tweetid=53329765813329920]

The supporters of Cumbernauld House, a historic building in Craig and Lynn Ferguson‘s home town near Glasgow were dealt a blow today by their local council, a majority of which does not support preserving the building as a historic landmark and public facility.

Britain’s Daily Mail reports that the tenth Doctor Who, David Tennant and his fiancée Georgia Moffett have a new daughter named Olivia.  Moffett’s father is Peter Davison, the fifth actor to play the Doctor.

Thursday on the Late Late Show, Craig chats with The Talk and Big Brother host Julie Chen and actor Jeffrey Tambor.  On Friday, Craig’s guests are actor Paul Giamatti and actress Casey Wilson.  New guests added for future shows include:  Diane Lane, Dan Riskin, Tina Fey, Derrick Pitts, Lena Heady, Evan Michelson and Maz Jobrani.  Check out our Guests page for the complete listings.  CBS tweeted about Thursday night’s show: [quotetweet tweetid=53620227606454272]

We’re keeping an eye on dates when tickets will be available for Craig‘s summertime tour stops. In the meantime, there are still tickets available for all of the other shows on the calendar but they are selling quickly. Book early to avoid disappointment!

TVSquad.com is looking forward to a three-man comedy tour with Larry King, Dr. Sanjay Gupta and Craig.

Update:  Bidding ends Thursday, March 31st on a pair of books autographed by Craig Ferguson, to raise money for the Red Cross; both the Nashville Chapter and the National office.  We posted information about the auction back when it was first announced and bidding on the books was limited to a few days, March 28-31.   Our apologies for not updating this sooner.  Their website isn’t very clear about when bidding ends but previous auctions have ended at 8pm ET/5pm PT in previous weeks.  Contact them to be sure.  Thanks to @Colleen_Byrne and Beth for the reminders.

Clips are beginning to pop up for the new Disney-Pixar Winnie The Pooh film, set to debut July 15th, in which Craig lends his voice to the character of Owl.  In this clip, we see Pooh and Rabbit in a bit of a fix and Piglet trying to help.

Updated guest list: Wednesday on the Late Late Show, Craig chats with actor Matthew McConaughey and actress Amy Smart.  Actor Jerry O’Connell will be rescheduled for another time.  Then on Thursday, watch for TV Host Julie Chen and actor Jeffrey Tambor.  CBS tweeted the update Wednesday evening: [quotetweet tweetid=53273252839178240]

Craig Ferguson has added Atlantic City and the Chicagoland area to his 2011 tour, with stops at the Tropicana Casino on the Boardwalk on Friday, July 8th and the Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Indiana on Saturday, July 9th.  Tickets are not yet on sale for either of those shows quite yet but we’ll keep an eye on them.  You can see the most up-to-date list of Craig’s live appearances on our Live Comedy Tour page.

Roboskellies watched in anticipation Monday evening as Craig returned from a stand up tour and some time off, wondering if “Rudy”, Craig’s mustache, would appear.  But alas, no such luck.  Maybe after his next break, Rudy will return.

Randy Kagan‘s newest podcast is online at his website and iTunes: [quotetweet tweetid=52808794484387841]

Some roboskellies have been asking, and yes… that is Craig’s voice in the animated short film Nicholas Was, based on Neil Gaiman‘s poem and developed by a Beijing-based studio called 39 Degrees North. It’s only a minute and half long but powerful. The video is a bit dark; you may want to make it full screen to watch it.

Craig sent along a re-tweet from Larry King’s wife and a tweet of his own about Tuesday’s show: [quotetweet tweetid=52896284062908417] [quotetweet tweetid=52900882412613632]
Dr. Gupta, LLS Producer Michael Naidus and Geoff Petersen joined in as well: [quotetweet tweetid=52902400683544576] [quotetweet tweetid=52905274675183616] [quotetweet tweetid=52913538867527680]

Tuesday on the Late Late Show, it’s CNN reunion night as Craig welcomes retired talk show host Larry King and CNN Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta.  On Wednesday, Craig talks with actor Jerry O’Connell. and actress Amy Smart, who was just added to the schedule.  Several new guests have been added to the taping schedule, including actor Jeffrey Tambor for Thursday of this week, actress Michelle Monaghan next week and actors Matthew McConaughey, Michael Clarke Duncan and Alfred Molina for future shows.  A full list of upcoming guests is available on our Guests page.

We have completed a transfer of our website to a new hosting provider.  The transition was mostly smooth, however the front page still sometimes looks funny and we’re having trouble repairing it.  We are in contact with technical support and are hoping to resolve that issue soon.  The rest of the site appears to be functioning properly.  If you encounter any links, images or pages that are not working correctly, please let us know.

Update: For those who were visiting the site for our live chat session on Monday night, please accept our apologies for the abrupt end of the chat. Our server was overloaded and our provider listed the account as “suspended” for more than an hour. We are working on a solution to prevent this from happening again. Thank you to everyone who took part in the chat while it lasted. The RSA is just too popular!

It’s been twelve days since we’ve seen a fresh, new episode of the Late Late Show but Monday is the night!  Craig returns to the show after a run of ten stand up comedy performances in Denver and some time off home in Los Angeles.

Craig returns on a day with some fresh news:  He will be voicing a character in a new animated feature from Pixar called Brave, due out on June 22nd, 2012.  Entertainment Weekly was first to report the story, with some early conceptual drawings of the fairy tale.  Most of the news about this film before today was about how Pixar changed directors last fall and other reports focused on the new lead actress, Kelly MacDonald taking over for Reese Witherspoon, but the new reports include the names of several confirmed cast members.  ComicBookResources.com, RopeOfSilicon.com, Hollywood.com and HeyYouGuys.co.uk have stories as well.

The other thing that has the volcano buzzing is whether “Rudy”, Craig’s mustache, will make a return appearance on the show tonight.  It didn’t last long the first time and he has teased us about it before, so Monday’s show will draw some attention.

The RSA live chat room will be open Monday night from 11:30pm ET/8:30pm PT until the show is over in the eat and central time zones… around 1:45am ET/10:45pm PT.  Roboskellies can get together to talk about mustaches, movies or anything else Craig-related.  Just watch for the live chat button on the menu bar near the top of the page.  When it pops up, the room is open.  Please join us!

The voice of Geoff Petersen, Josh Robert Thompson tweeted Monday afternoon:  [quotetweet tweetid=52451409488130048]We can’t wait to find out what it is.

Program note:  President Barack Obama’s address to the nation about US and NATO involvement in Libya concluded at 8pm ET/5pm PT and CBS went directly into prime time programming in the east and central time zones, so the late night programs will air at their regular times tonight.

Monday’s Late Late Show features musician Bob Geldoff and a performance by Far East Movement.  On Tuesday, Craig welcomes back retired TV host Larry King and CNN Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

UPDATE: Craig Ferguson will voice a character in a new animated feature called Brave, due out in the summer of 2012.  Entertainment Weekly has an early look at what the film is about.

Could it be?  Could Craig Ferguson once again take a run at wearing a mustache?  He tried once a few years ago and crumbled to what he thought was audience pressure to get rid of it.  Then last year, he teased us a few days before returning from a vacation saying he might try it.  But he backed down and posted a picture with a fake mustache on his Twitter account.  Sunday, he tweeted: [quotetweet tweetid=52050743666028544] Will he go through with it?  Will he give it a name?  (The only mustache to make it on the air was called Rudy.)  We’ll have to watch on Monday night to find out!

Last time Craig talked about wearing a mustache, several roboskellies added mustaches to their Twitter avatars in support.  That might be worth a try again this time.  As for Monday night, we’ll be opening the RSA live chat room from 11:30pm ET/8:30pm PT and remain open until the show is over in the eat and central time zones… around 1:45am ET/10:45pm PT, so roboskellies can catch up and chat together for Craig’s first show back in ten days.  Just watch for the live chat button on the menu bar near the top of the page.  When it pops up, the room is open.  Please join us!

In another great clip preserved by the RSA’s @Fergufool, Craig talks about the good and bad of plastic surgery.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta

All new episodes of the Late Late Show are back, starting Monday with musician Bob Geldoff and a performance by Far East Movement.  On Tuesday, Craig welcomes back retired TV host Larry King and CNN Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta.  Wednesday, Craig will talk with actor Jerry O’Connell.  TV host Julie Chen from Big Brother and The Talk will be in the studio on Thursday.  And on Friday, Craig’s guests are actor Paul Giamatti and actress Casey Wilson.

Tickets for Craig‘s upcoming stand up comedy performance in Seattle are now on sale.  It may be another month or so before tickets are available for Toronto and Montreal; perhaps a little longer for Minnesota.  We also learned that for the Minnesota shows, subscribers to the casino’s email newsletter will get a one-day head start with a coupon code for pre-sale tickets before the general public… you don’t have to be a member of their player’s club.  We’ll keep an eye on ticket sales for those shows and update the links on our Live Comedy Tour page when anything changes.  In the meantime, good seats are still available for the other eleven shows on the list!

Some LLS favorites are coming back as guests in the next few weeks including Larry King, Steven Wright, Sophia Bush, Kristen Bell and more.  Just a few weeks after seeing French actress Catherine Deneuve on the show, another legendary actress, Isabella Rossellini, is scheduled to make an appearance.  Plus, sisters Wynona and Ashley Judd are on the list for future tapings, although not on the same night.  And Flying Wild Alaska‘s Ariel Tweto, who delighted Craig in her first appearance a few weeks ago, will be back.  See the most up-to-date listings on our Guests page any time.

The US and Canada switched to Daylight Saving Time a couple of weeks ago.  This weekend, Europe makes the switch.

Live chat Monday night:  Since Monday will be Craig’s first fresh, new show in a while we thought we’d open the live chat room so robot skeletons can catch up.  We’ll open at 11:30pm ET/8:30pm PT (about one hour before the east coast airing of the show) and remain open through the show, closing at around 1:45am ET/10:45pm PT.  Just watch for the live chat button in the top menu… when it appears, the chat room is open.

Does Craig need to say much to get the audience on his side? Apparently not.

Saturday, March 26th is Legal Assistant’s Day and Make Up Your Own Holiday Day. Maybe it could be Hollowed Out Volcano Day.  It’s also the birthdays of poet Robert Frost, playwright Tennessee Williams and Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy. Sunday, March 27th is Education and Sharing Day and Quirky Country Music Song Titles Day.  One of our favorites is the Whispering Bill Anderson classic, “Walk out backwards, and I’ll think you’re walking in.”
