Stand Up on Netflix
Craig Ferguson
‘s stand up comedy special Does This Need To Be Said? is now available on demand at Netflix.  This opens the show to a new audience after being available through the EPIX channel and EpixHD.com for the past 90 days.  There is still no word on a release date for DVD’s but we’re keeping an eye on it for you.  When Craig released his previous special, it came out on DVD fairly quickly, so the wait may not be much longer.  When we find out, we’ll post it here and on our Stand Up Special page.

The RSA’s @lafemmechiquita reminded us that the movie Niagara Motel, which features Craig is also on Netflix, along with several other of his movies from the past several years.

Geoff and Craig Laugh Themselves Silly
Craig is still making himself laugh after Thursday’s show, as he tweeted Friday:

Doctor Who Delay
Broadcast of the sixth and seventh episodes of Doctor Who will be delayed in the US due to the Memorial Day holiday weekend rather than syncing up with the broadcasts in the UK, according to BBC America.

Great Scot!
Craig is mentioned among many Scottish notables in an article about Scottish nationalism and independence in the UK’s Guardian newspaper.  Also new Friday on Scotsman.com, a noted rock band photographer is profiled.  Although the picture is not included in the article, apparently Craig was among the rockers he photographed.  The pictures will be part of a gallery show in Glasgow next year.

Craig in Pajamas
You say pajamas, I say pajamas… is there anything better than Craig Ferguson in PJ’s?  It would be hard to top.  Wednesday night, Julie Andrews presented Craig with not only with a copy of her bestselling book but a specially-made pair of princess-themed pajamas.  How adorable is that?  New York Magazine commented on the interview with Andrews.  The RSA’s @SariesWick made an animation of Craig dancing for your enjoyment.  Click on the picture to see it in motion.

Brave Trailer Coming Soon
The website collider.com reports that when the Pixar animated film Cars 2 hits theaters on June 24th, one of the trailers shown at the beginning of the film will be the trailer for Brave.  Craig is among the voice talent to be featured in Brave, which will be released June 22nd, 2012.  We’ll keep our eyes open for the Brave trailer in case it is released online early.

Bonham Carter Expectations
According to the Washington Post, frequent Late Late Show guest Helena Bonham Carter will star in the upcoming film adaptation of Charles DickinsGreat Expectations.  Thanks to the RSA’s @skousehouse for the link.

Betty White:  Navy Seal and Patton is Adorable
TVSquad.com enjoyed Betty White‘s appearance on Tuesday’s Late Late Show.  Meanwhile, Craig’s jokes about Arnold Schwarzenegger were mentioned by the Associated Press.  And Hollywood.com like Patton Oswalt‘s appearance.  New York Magazine mentioned Betty White’s joke about being taken in by a “Fonzie scheme”.  This caught the attention of the RSA’s @RamonaLeigh, who asked Henry Winkler on Twitter what the thought about that.  She said:

Did you hear the cute joke Betty White told Craig Ferguson about Fonzie last night?  She said she became a navy seal when she lost all her money in a Fonzie scheme.

Winkler replied:

wait till I see her…. well I ouhta’

And he later added in reply to @cassofgod:

Betty white was there on the set of my very first job in Hollywood. people tweeted the link all day long….it was funny and I was proud to watch

Then on Wednesday evening, Craig said:

New York Magazine enjoyed Geoff Petersen‘s appearance on Monday’s Late Late Show.  Geoff’s builder, Grant Imahara from the Mythbusters tweeted to than man behind Geoff’s voice, Josh Robert Thompson:

This Week’s Guests
It’s another week of all new episodes of the Late Late Show, starting Monday with robot skeleton sidekick Geoff Petersen as a guest, plus actor Simon Helberg who must be a good sport to follow an appliance.  On Tuesday, LLS favorite Betty White returns, along with comedian Patton Oswalt.  Wednesday’s show will feature an interview with actress Julie Andrews and music by Little Big Town.  Actor Tony Shalhoub and author Sloane Crosley will be in the studio on Thursday.  And on Friday Craig welcomes back actress Carrie Fisher.

We Got Your Bach
This video is really just a commercial for a cell phone that has a back made of wood.  But as commercials go, it’s pretty cool. From what we understand, some of the proceeds go to reforestation efforts. We thought you’d enjoy it.
