Read Those Hashtags
Craig Ferguson is known for letting loose with a few *tutsi-fruitsi* expressions on the Late Late Show.  So when he sends out a tweet saying he’ll behave himself, you can be pretty sure that it’s all about the subliminal messages:

Tonight I vow that my show will be innuendo & cuss free. It will be professional, classy and slick. #fuckthat. #punkrock. #LeTitsNow

Judging by some of the replies he got from followers, not everyone got the message.  So he added:

My recent investigations conclude 25% of people on the tweety don’t read hashtags. #iwonderwhy #LeTitsNow

And then this:

The wonderfully naughty @ActuallyNPH is my guest tonight. There goes the clean show idea. #neverreallywasanidea.

You go, Craig.  Having a little bit of *crikey* fun on your own *ooh-la-la* show is what it’s all about.

Don’t You Oooh Me
Thursday’s show was evidence of how Craig doesn’t let the audience get away with much, as Alan Alda and AOL’s TV Replay discovered.

Pixels and Naughtiness
Even in the days before flags popped up on the screen, the Late Late Show was on the cutting edge of something naughty. Here, Craig tells us that “Ron CBS” makes him do dirty things on television… and he demonstrates the wonder of pixelation and forbidden spider love.

Friday on the Late Late Show, Craig welcomes actor Neil Patrick Harris and musician Imelda May.  CBS tweeted:

Thanks, Chief

Weather Woes
It’s been a long week for many of our robot skeleton friends in the Northeast… some of whom are only now getting their power restored after last weekend’s early-season snowstorm.  The RSA’s @HoboRobot got her power back Thursday and after being stranded for a while, the RSA General @Malinky2Stoatir is back online:

Guess who’s back on the interwebs, my bitches?!?! Cripes, got my work cut out for me! Hope ya’ll remember me…

A Dose Of Nerdist

Craig Zigs When You Zag

Bello / Johnson

Craig Ferguson always has a surprise or two up his sleeve and Tuesday night was no exception.  Comedian Dennis Miller had been scheduled to appear but instead, we were treated to actress Maria Bello and actor Jake Johnson; both of whom had been scheduled for tapings earlier in the month but had fallen off the radar.  If and when Miller returns, we’ll pass it along.  New dates have been confirmed for more guests, which we have outlined below.

What? A Double Entenre On This Show?
AOL’s TV Replay caught the gist of Craig’s conversation with Maria Bello almost as quickly as she did.

DVD Review
In a review of Craig’s new stand up comedy DVD Does This Need To Be Said? on the-trades.com, the reviewer has mostly nice things to say about Craig.  He does call the RSA members interviewed about the show “random locals” but we can probably forgive him for not knowing the distances fans will travel to see Craig perform live.

Rosie Likes Craig’s Style

In Canada’s Globe and Mail, Rosie O’Donnell repeats her past praise of Craig. She says she bases the feel of her new Oprah Winfrey Network show on Craig’s style.

What A Horror Show!
Fans are still basking in the glow of Monday night’s Late Late Show Halloween special, featuring music from the Rocky Horror Show.  Craig Ferguson knows how to throw a party and took the chance to bring a part of this paste back to life.  He appeared in a London stage production of the show in 1991.  The opening musical number and Rocky-themed musical segment at the end of the show drew raves from many outlets, including The Huffington Post,  ology.com, CityBeat.com, and Entertainment Weekly.  Responding to a fan’s compliment that he does well on talk shows, Neil Gaiman replied:

@autojim I don’t know if I enjoy chat shows,but I love talking to @CraigyFerg.

Behind The Scenes
A friend of Neil Gaiman, longtime television and comic book writer Mark Evanier, blogged about his experience of seeing the show taped on Monday. Thanks to the RSA’s @colleen_byrne for the link!

Tinky Winky?
As for Craig, he has moved on to other thoughts, such as the wardrobe mishaps of the Teletubbies:

I’ve seen teletubbies so many times with my kids that I’ve noticed Tinky Winky has cameltoe. I thought he was a dude. #maybeitsmooseknuckle

The @Nerdist Chris Hardwick’s new book is out today and is available online.  He tweeted:

Tuesday on the Late Late Show, the lone guest on the list is comedian Dennis Miller. On Wednesday, Craig talks with actor Ted Danson and actress Bitsie Tulloch.

Guest Update

The show managed to sneak in another guest for mid-November, adding the Craig’s long-lost little brother (it’s a joke but we’re looking forward to the wild dance they usually do when he walks on stage) Ewan McGregor, who had been booked earlier this year but had to be rescheduled. See all the latest listings on our Guests page any time.

Let’s Do The Time Warp Again
Monday night is a Halloween extravaganza on the Late Late Show.  The theme for the big musical number will be none other than the Rocky Horror Show, in which Craig Ferguson performed as Brad Majors “the all-American boy” in London back in 1991.   CBS tweeted:

.@CraigyFerg celebrates #Halloween ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ style tonight! Don’t miss it! #LateLateShow

The show features Zooey Deschanel, author Neil Gaiman and music by Amanda Palmer (with special guests Moby and Stephin Merritt).  Zooey tweeted:

Amanda added:

Neil said:

Arrived at the @CraigyFerg show to discover I’ve been dragged into the @amandapalmer moby Merritt supergroup madness. Am I worried? #godyes.

And he encouraged people to see the live show planned later in the evening:

Today:we record the @CraigyFerg show then straight to Wilshire Ebell theatre for tonight’s me&@amandapalmer show. (If you’re in LA, come!)

As for Craig’s take on the show, this tweet says it all:

If you ever have a low budget talkshow I recommend you have @ZooeyDeschanel @amandapalmer & @neilhimself on it & it will become awesome.

Set those DVRs for a great show!

A Craig Collectible
The RSA’s @SariesWick spotted a rare find:  A 45 rpm record on discogs.com from one of Craig Ferguson‘s bands from late 70s and early 80s.  The band was Exposure and the single was Style & Fashion, which you can hear on YouTube thanks to the RSA’s @SexyCraigFerg.  If you notice the credits, they list “Adam Eternal” as the drummer, which was one of Craig’s stage names at the time.  Here is a closer look at the record itself.  It is being sold by someone in the Netherlands for 75 Euro (about $105 US), so it’s not inexpensive but it is an unusual Craig collectible.

Duran Duran
Duran Duran fans enjoyed Friday’s show, which was reported by TheAudioPerv.com.

Magic Castle Fire
A Los Angeles landmark, the Magic Castle suffered significant fire damage on Monday, reports the Los Angeles Times.

Grant Mentions Geoff
A year ago this week the Albany, NY Times-Union newspaper had an article about the Mythbusters Grant Imahara, in which he mentions Geoff Peterson.

Cumbernauld House
It’s been a little more than a year since a private developer bought the historic Cumbernauld House in Craig’s home town in Scotland.  A pair of groups called the Cumbernauld House Trust and the Friends of Cumbernauld House Park are disappointed that the developer is planning to turn what had been a public building into private apartments and has cut off public access to the grounds.  However, the group has set up signs documenting the history of the building.

Craig on eBay
On a whim, we took a look at eBay and were surprised to see there are 231 “Craig Ferguson” items for sale.  Most are what you would expect:  Books, DVD’s and photos.  But there are a few autographed items as well.  We’re not sure who would sell something autographed by Craig but they are available.
