Downton Abbey Spoiler: True or Not True?

After Craig Ferguson‘s tweets Tuesday that he would be uttering a “major” spoiler of the BBC-made/PBS distributed show Downton Abbey, fans wondered what he would say on the show about it.  But after it aired, PBS responded by congratulating Craig on his “fake” spoiler.  So the question must be asked:  Was it an actual spoiler?  True or Not True?  Entertainment Weekly posted a story Wednesday with the response from PBS.  Thanks to the RSA’s @MissGraoully for the link.

Tickets are still available for most shows, with the possible exception of Birmingham, Alabama which now appears to be nearly sold out. Please check with the box office to see if any tickets become available at the last minute. There are only about 200 seats left in Nashville and less than a hundred remaining in Des Moines. Book early to avoid disappointment!

Craig Plays True or Not True
Craig had a little fun on his Sunday evening, watching the Golden Globes and tweeting about the participants:

Wow! I just found out the sun baby from Teletubbies grew up to be @RickyGervais. But now I look at him I can sort of see it. #TrueOrNotTrue // Also just found out Val Kilmer was the original drummer for Hootie and the Blowfish.

He added at theory about the origins of Starfleet Command:

Just rewatched JJ Abrams’ Star Trek movie. Realized Starfleet Command probably evolved from @MythBusters M5. Mind blown #TrueOrNotTrue

The “M5” to which he refers is Mythbuster Jamie Hyneman‘s special effects company, M5 Industries in San Francisco. San Francisco is also headquarters for Starfleet Command. Craig, you may be on to something here.

Wallace Letter

Photo: Jeff J. Mitchell

One of the few known artifacts connected to Scottish hero William Wallace has finally been returned to Scotland. The 700 year-old letter, written on behalf of King Philip IV of France, expresses and urges support for Wallace’s efforts to fight against England. It is considered to be one of the few documents Wallace himself may have carried in his travels and may have been in his possession when he was captured in 1305. It was discovered in the 1830’s in the Tower of London and will be on display at the Scottish parliament building later this year. Thanks to the RSA’s @sumdude for the link.

Cool Video of the Week
Photographer Kien Lam took a year to travel the world and take some great pictures. He has compiled a video to highlight his work (with music written by his brother) and the result is wonderful.
