Three Tours for 2012
In an interview with the Arizona Republic newspaper, Craig Ferguson mentioned that he has decided to do a total of three touring weeks in 2012, allowing him more time to spend with his family.  He traveled the Midwest in January, will be on the west coast in the coming week, and will appear on the east coast in October.  So far, New York City and Ridgefield, CT are on the schedule for October.  We’ll keep you posted as more dates are added on our Live Comedy Tour page.  So, robot skeletons, if you plan to see Craig live in 2012, book early to avoid disappointment!

Ticket Sales Update
Craig’s show in Chandler, AZ outside Phoenix is nearly sold out, with a few scattered single seats on the main floor and the back few rows of the balcony still available. Only balcony seats remain for Craig’s shows in Lancaster, CA near Los Angeles and in Napa, CA. Only about a hundred tickets remain for Craig’s show in Medford, OR. And it appears that space to see Craig in person at the Paley Center in Los Angeles on May 10th has sold out but tickets remain to attend the event and see Craig on closed-circuit television.

Craig Gets Colorful
Entertainment Weekly tracked down a picture of Craig during his recent week in Scotland, having some fun with guest Mila Kunis. Craig sports a pair of jeggings with some sort of plaid pattern. EW’s Lynette Rice captioned the photo this way:

The Scotland-born host of The Late Late Show taped a week of episodes in his motherland, to air the week of May 14. Here, he dons some local color with guest Mila Kunis. “Those are jeggings that we got from a Middle Eastern tourist shop next to Edinburgh Castle,” he says. “They’re from the ladies’ department.”

Multiple Corkies
We found one more clip featuring an entire bouquet of “Corkies,” where Craig explains the origin of the puppet.

He had appeared on the show seven times as a guest host in 2004 before officially taking over on January 3rd, 2005. The RSA’s @bgrhubarb points out that it was also the anniversary of the snake mug (a gift from guest Mary McCormack) as well as the anniversary of the television debut of Cabbage, one of Craig’s dogs.

Ridgefield, CT Show Rescheduled
Craig Ferguson‘s upcoming live stand up comedy performance in Ridgefield, Connecticut has been rescheduled for Monday, October 8th at 8:00pm.  There were a handful of tickets sold for the show’s original date of June 4th but those tickets will be honored on October 8th.  Additional tickets will soon be available on the Ridgefield Playhouse website.  We’ll have the updated link on our Live Comedy Tour page as soon as it becomes available.  Craig will also be in New York City on October 6th.   There are still some tickets available for that show.  Looking at the dates on the calendar, it appears Craig may be setting up a week of shows on the east coast during the week of October 8-12.  We’ll keep you posted!

Canberra Kerfuffle
Craig’s Tuesday night jokes about the Australian capitol city of Canberra are continuing to cause a stir down under but it seems most are taking the jibes in stride.  The head of Canberra’s tourism agency told the Canberra Times newspaper aid it could be an opportunity to raise the city’s profile and highlight its good properties.  He even invited actor Guy Pearce to recreate a scene from Priscilla, Queen of the Desert in Canberra.  The women involved in the opening segment both said they were a bit surprised by all the fuss and that it was all in good fun.  The woman who lives near the capitol called it “all light-hearted” and her friend, now living in Los Angeles said Canberrans should “get over yourselves, get a sense of humor and hey, at least people are talking about you.”

Happy 65th, Dave
