Greensburg, PA Tickets On Sale Monday, Friday
Tickets for Craig Ferguson‘s October 10th live stand up comedy show in Greensburg, PA go on sale this week.  Tickets will be available first on Monday morning, May 7th at 10am ET for members of the Westmoreland Cultural Trust.  It is the group presenting the show and you can sign up to be a member if you want first shot at tickets.  Unlike some “members only” ticket offers which have large fees to join the group, it appears you can become a member at whatever level you choose.  If you’d rather not be a member, tickets for the general public go on sale Friday, May 11th at 10am ET.  We’ll update the ticket link on our Live Comedy Tour page as soon as they post the ticket sales page.

Comedian Marc Maron‘s twice weekly podcasts include interviews with many of the funniest people in television, film and the country’s comedy club stages. This week on Thursday, he’ll post his interview with Craig on his website wtfpod.com.

Upcoming Late Late Show guest Steve Guttenberg has published an autobiography called The Guttenberg Bible.  The New York Post has a review, where the iconic 80’s actor talks about the possibility of sequels to some of his biggest films.

Poppy Longstocking

Upcoming LLS guest Poppy Montgomery was recently interviewed by the Associated Press about wrapping up her first season on the CBS drama Unforgettable.  Published in Newsday and other papers, the Australian natural redhead talks about her other big role as a mother, and how she hopes the show has a long run.

Anna Kendrick

It’s another week of all-new episodes of the Late Late Show, beginning Monday with actress Poppy Montgomery and actor Steve Guttenberg.  On Tuesday, Craig’s guest is musician Steven Tyler.  Wednesday, watch for actress Jenna Fischer and actor Danny Huston.  Journalist Christiane Amanpour and actress Anna Kendrick are in the studio on Thursday.  And on Friday, Craig welcomes back TV/Radio host Larry King.

Craig is A-Maze-Ing

More media outlets in the UK are reporting on Craig’s upcoming episodes of the Late Late Show in Scotland, including The Courier, a newspaper from an area north of Edinburgh.


Imagineers Get More Press
The Kilmarnock Standard newspaper has a brief story about the Glasgow-based band The Imagineers, who will be performing the theme song to Craig’s Scotland shows each night during the week. Thanks to the RSA’s @MissGraoully for the the link.

George Clooney

Along with being Cinco de Mayo, Saturday, May 5th is also the birthday of philosopher Søren Kierkegaard, actress Ann B. Davis from The Brady Bunch, country singer Tammy Wynette and Monty Python actor Michael Palin.  Sunday, May 6th is the birthday of actor Rudolph Valentino, actor/director Orson Welles, baseball star Willie Mays and actor George Clooney.   Perhaps Mays’ most famous play was his catch in the 1954 World Series that saved a run and helped the New York Giants on their way to a four-game sweep of the heavily favored Cleveland Indians:

Craig on The Talk
As the RSA’s General @Malinky2Stoatir noticed first, Craig Ferguson will be appearing on the CBS daytime show The Talk on Wednesday, May 9th to promote his upcoming week of Late Late Show in Scotland episodes. He will also be appearing on Chelsea Lately on the E! network on Monday, May 14th. And as we reported in our most recent post, he’ll be on The Price Is Right on Monday the 14th as well. Set those DVRs!


Scotland Ahead
Mild spoilers ahead:  Scotland’s Arbroath Herald newspaper is previewing Craig’s week of episodes from the old country. The article mentions the Declaration of Arbroath, one of the documents upon which the U.S. Declaration of Independence and constitution are based. It also points to the tourism site AngusAhead.com, which features the preview video for the Scotland shows.

Tomorrow’s Bad Seeds
California-based reggae rockers Tomorrows Bad Seeds taped a performance Thursday for a future Late Late Show and tweeted a photo:

Just Plain Cool Video
Twitter regular Neil Patrick Harris recently tweeted a link to the video below, featuring slow-motion video of stuff getting smashed, shot, burned, blown up or otherwise destroyed for fun.  The video was recorded by special high-speed cameras which capture 2500 frames per second instead of the usual 30 frames per second of traditional video.  Watch it in full screen to get the full effect:

As Craig Ferguson noted on the Late Late Show Wednesday night, he will be making a special appearance on The Price Is Right on Monday, May 14th, to promote his week of shows taped in Scotland. The Price Is Right is hosted by Craig’s show business pal Drew Carey. One of the show’s models, Gwendolyn Osborne, tweeted a picture of Craig on the TPIR set:

The Huffington Post and the website Hollywire.com caught Anjelica Huston‘s Wednesday night conversation with Craig, in which she jokes about how Smash is better than Glee.

Craig At Paley Live Online?
Although Craig’s appearance at the Paley Center in Los Angeles is sold out, our friend @JoeWatchesTV points out that the Center has offered live streaming of many of its events in the past. We’re working to confirm whether they will be streaming Craig’s appearance on May 10th. If so, we’ll be sure to let you know.

LA Event Sold Out
Craig Ferguson‘s appearance at the Paley Center in Los Angeles on May 10th is now sold out. For the assembled crowd, Craig will be answering questions and showing a preview of his week of shows from Scotland, which will be broadcast on CBS during the week of May 14-18. Craig’s next scheduled live appearances will be a run of stand up shows at the Venetian in Las Vegas in September. After President Barack Obama appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, editorial cartoonist Henry Payne of the Detroit News wondered what it would be like if the president appeared with Craig Ferguson on the Late Late Show.  The result was the cartoon that appeared in Tuesday’s paper.  Not only did he manage to capture Craig’s smile, he got the details of Geoff Peterson‘s name tag and right arm movement.  Payne must be a fan of the show!
