Richard Dawson
Actor and game show host Richard Dawson has died at the age of 79.  Best known for his portrayal of the sticky-fingered Corporal Newkirk on Hogan’s Heroes and his stints as host of Family Feud, Dawson was an Emmy-winning familiar face on TV from the mid-60s to the mid-80s.  His chance to host Feud was credited to his popularity as a panelist on the game show Match Game, where he was the most oft-chosen celebrity by players as a partner for the game’s final round. Time Magazine was among the many outlets reporting the news. Here is an example of Dawson’s versatility, as he offers impressions in a talent show from Hogan’s Heroes.
