In a situation similar to the movie theater shootings in Colorado in July, Craig Ferguson and the Late Late Show chose to edit a pre-taped episode of the show in light of the school shootings in Connecticut on Friday. Craig tweeted:

Brave Nominated for Golden Globe
The Disney/Pixar film Brave, featuring the voice of Craig Ferguson as Lord MacIntosh, was nominated Thursday for a Golden Globe award in the Best Animated Feature Film category. Does this mean Craig will actually turn up for a Hollywood awards ceremony… especially one put on by the Foreign Press Association? Time will tell.
Craig might also be pleased to see Downton Abbey picked up three nominations, including for Television Series – Drama, Actress in a Television Series – Drama for Michelle Dockery and Actress In A Supporting Role In A Series, Miniseries Or Motion Picture Made For Television for the one and only Maggie Smith. Also, upcoming Late Late Show guest Quentin Tarantino was nominated for Best Director for Django Unchained. You can see the full list of nominations on the Golden Globes website.
Sloane’s Coconut Travels
When author Sloane Crosley appeared as a guest on the Late Late Show on Monday, she accepted a coconut from Craig and said she would tweet about taking it home with her. On Thursday, as she prepared to board her flight, she tweeted a series of photos:

The show will continue to run new (freshly recorded and freeze-dried for your enjoyment) episodes through December 21st, followed by two weeks of visits from the re-run fairy during the holidays. Finland Digs Craig
After Craig Ferguson and his robot skeleton pal Geoff Peterson spent some time on Thursday’s show talking about Finland, it didn’t take long for Finland to notice. The RSA’s @MissGraoully spotted the story. We ran it through Google Translate and edited it to give you a sense of what they said:

Frequent Late Late Show guest Toby Keith was named one of Country Music Television’s Artists of the Year announced on Saturday night. As CMT explains on its website, as Toby was being presented with his award, he saw a special recorded message from Craig, which you can see about 12 minutes into this video clip.

Richie Rocks Richie Sambora‘s week as the house band for the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson wrapped up on Friday with a rousing version of the song “Sugar Daddy” from Sambora’s new album, with Craig helping out on vocals. During the week, the band would rehearse each day and prepare for performing music in and out of commercial breaks, tweetmails, Secretariat appearances and more.
