Was asked to tweet this coconut’s journey by @CraigyFerg. Here she is, picking up her boarding pass. All seems well… pic.twitter.com/vslbxXMt

So far so good with security. Like most women, she likes her space. pic.twitter.com/2SmeIkhO

Coconut 3

Also, like most women/people, she is mostly liquid. Here she is being manhandled by LAX security. cc @CraigyFerg pic.twitter.com/yz4ZYnIz

Coconut 4

She must be taken aside and swabbed down for drugs. cc @CraigyFerg pic.twitter.com/lm761Vz3

Coconut 5

Looking so fucking guilty is not helping her case. cc @CraigyFerg pic.twitter.com/5gY8TMiw

Coconut 6

Luckily, she is a coconut and has sweet talked her way through security and onto the plane. cc @CraigyFerg The End. pic.twitter.com/Sj5OjRYn

Such is the life of a traveling coconut. We’re guessing the airline made the coconut buy its own ticket.

Craig Coverage in China
We weren’t planning to mention any more about Miranda Kerr‘s now famous appearance on the Late Late Show last week, but thought you’d enjoy hearing that the story spread as far away as China. Our thanks to the RSA’s Jason for the link. Here, with the help of Google Translate, is a rough translation of what the article says:

[stextbox id=”custom”]Miranda Kerr Exposes Marriage Secret: Sexy Underwear Is King
Reported by Zhu Ying

According to the British newspaper “The Daily Mail,” reported on December 5, Australian citizen and supermodel Miranda Kerr appeared on the U.S. TV talk show “Craig The Deep Night Show” on the evening of December 3rd, and revealed to host Craig Ferguson the secret of happiness with her husband Orlando Bloom: A little makeup and wearing sexy lingerie. She pointed out that this is the secret to a happy marriage, passed on to her by her grandmother.

The 29-year-old Victoria’s Secret underwear supermodel confided in the show’s host, “My grandmother said, “Men are visual animals, do not forget this.'”

She added, “She (the grandmother) said, ‘Every day if you put on a bit of makeup and wear sexy underwear, you will always be able to keep a husband.'”

The hot-bodied and exquisitely-faced Kerr also said although her husband sometimes watches her appear in her underwear on the catwalk, she will from time to time perform a private show for him at home, which is very different.[/stextbox]

We hope you enjoy watching “Craig The Deep Night Show” every night!

Finland Digs Craig
After Craig Ferguson and his robot skeleton pal Geoff Peterson spent some time on Thursday’s show talking about Finland, it didn’t take long for Finland to notice. The RSA’s @MissGraoully spotted the story. We ran it through Google Translate and edited it to give you a sense of what they said:
[stextbox id=”custom”]America’s favorite program talks about Finland
The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson focused
strongly on Finland Thursday.

On Thursday, the unifying theme of The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson was Finland. Seen on the network CBS, the program focused heavily on Finland around the country’s Independence Day.

In the first half of the program, presenter Craig Ferguson congratulated the Finnish, who had reached the top position as the world’s least corrupt country. After a while, he mentioned that Finland was a very neutral compared to many neighboring countries.

Geoff Peterson the robot skeleton talks about the Finnish identity on a number of topics, including the world-famous Angry Birds game. During the show, the Finnish flag popped up on the screen several times.

The program host had a playful little theory about Finland’s lack of corruption, saying it was due to the cold weather. “I was in Finland, and it’s really cold,” he joked.

He added that people are not able to take their hands out of their pockets because of the cold weather. As a result, people are not able to accept bribes. The host also tried to imitate the Finnish accent.

He went on to say that Finland is a great country. He mentioned that the coldest section is located in the north, and it is called Lapland. It’s so cold there that people traditionally massage each other’s thighs to keep each other warm, which resulted in the invention of the lap dance, he explained jokingly.

He later said that’s not true but if it were true, wouldn’t it have been great?

The program can be found on YouTube.

The Late Late Night Show with Craig Ferguson has been running since 2005. It won the prestigious Peabody Award in 2010.[/stextbox]

Toby Keith Honored

Frequent Late Late Show guest Toby Keith was named one of Country Music Television’s Artists of the Year announced on Saturday night. As CMT explains on its website, as Toby was being presented with his award, he saw a special recorded message from Craig, which you can see about 12 minutes into this video clip.

Canadian Mention
The RSA’s Sarah tells us:
[stextbox id=”custom”]Thought you might like to know that anchors Jennifer Hedger and Darren Dutchyshen name-checked “The Late Late Show” on the 11:30 p.m. ET edition of “SportsCentre” on TSN in Canada Friday night December 8. Discussing the ongoing NHL lockout, Hedger threw to a frustrated tweet from a player, saying “For all you Craig Ferguson fans out there, it’s ‘Time to check the Tweets'”, followed by Dutchyshen adding “I’ll be Geoff” (Hedger clarified “Geoff Peterson”). After the angry tweet was read, Dutchyshen then followed with his version of Geoff’s George Takei-like “Oh My!.” It was random and great![/stextbox]

Sugar Daddy
The RSA’s @keepintouch0 put together a video montage with the complete lyrics to “Sugar Daddy,” as performed by Craig and Richie Sambora on Friday’s show.

December Birthdays

Sammy Davis, Jr.

Saturday, December 8th is the birthday of inventor Eli Whitney, artist Diego Rivera, performer Sammy Davis, Jr. and actress Kim Basinger. Sunday, December 9th is the birthday of actor Kirk Douglas, comedian Redd Foxx, actress Judi Dench and singer/actor Donny Osmond.

Jazz pianist Dave Brubeck died earlier this week, just one day short of his 92nd birthday. His quartet’s album Time Out is one of the most important records in modern jazz, pushing the boundaries of the form with unusual time signatures, including saxophonist Paul Desmond‘s famous “Take Five.” In Brubeck’s memory, enjoy one of his best-known compositions “Blue Rondo a la Turk,” written in a combination of 9/8 time and swing 4/4. His skill as a pianist is evident in this live recording:
