Leno FallonUpdate: Bill Carter of the New York Times is reporting that sources inside NBC say Jimmy Fallon will take over The Tonight Show when Jay Leno‘s contract expires in the fall of 2014, and the show will move back to New York. None of the news has been officially confirmed, but Carter routinely gets the story right long before anyone else. There is no word on who would succeed Fallon or whether the Late Night show would move to California. Moreover, it’s uncertain what this might mean for David Letterman, whose contract also ends in 2014. We’ll continue to follow the story as it develops.
