Craig Boston MonologueFollowing Craig Ferguson‘s monologue on Monday evening about the bombings in Boston, media outlets across the country have talked about the show’s response, including E! Online, the Huffington Post, Gawker and New York Magazine. Late Late Show Producer Michael Naidus tweeted about another account in the Washington Post:

The show is scheduled to take a one-week break from taping May 20-24, but that week may be filled with new pre-recorded shows because it falls within the May television ratings period. 04 Hattie HayridgeLast year, Craig was looking out in to the audience at CBS Television City and spotted a familiar face, British comedienne Hattie Hayridge. She was in Los Angeles and decided to wait in a line for ticket and watch the show. Craig laughed and told her that instead of watching the show, she should perform on the show. Soon afterward, it happened. Below are Hattie’s performance on the Late Late Show and a later appearance on the UK web series Carpool, where she tells host Robert Llewellyn about how it happened. It’s another week of all-new episodes of the Late Late Show, beginning Monday with actor Rob Lowe. On Tuesday, Craig’s guests are actress Selma Blair and comedian Nathan Fielder. On Wednesday, Craig talks with TV personality Kelly Osbourne and actor Breckin Meyer. Actress Ginnifer Goodwin and author Salman Rushdie will be in the studio on Thursday. And on Friday, Craig welcomes actor Harrison Ford and actress Melissa Rauch.

Craig Ferguson was away on spring break when the news broke that Jimmy Fallon will be taking over for Jay Leno on The Tonight Show in February of 2014. Craig tweeted:

The Los Angeles Times summarized the news and Entertainment Weekly managed to find a way to say nice things about nearly every other late-night host except Craig.

Comedian and podcaster Marc Maron, who has interviewed Craig in the past, is getting his own show on the Independent Film Channel. As Slate.com reports, the show will simply be called Maron, and will feature Marc essentially playing himself, in his garage, doing his podcast.

Rocker Richie Sambora, who recently led a one-week run as the Late Late Show house band, has dropped out of the spring leg of the current Bon Jovi tour until further notice. Specific reasons beyond “personal issues” were not given, as Yahoo News reported.

This year, it seems Craig used his spring break to actually take a break, although he was probably working on several projects behind the scenes.  And as of today, we’ve heard no word about any upcoming stage appearances for the summer.
