Making the Case
Former VH1 Morning Buzz host Carrie Keagan wrote an article in this month’s Vanity Fair, making the case that it’s time for network television to have a woman hosting a late-night talk show. She references her most recent appearance on The Late Late Show when Craig Ferguson asked her to sit behind the desk. CBS has not yet made any decisions about the shows format or a host to follow Craig when he departs in December.
Gaffigan to TVLand
Comedian and frequent LLS guest Jim Gaffigan shot a sitcom pilot for CBS last year, inspired by his real life. Entertainment Weekly reports that TVLand has picked up the series, which will debut next year. Also in the cast are Ashley Williams, Adam Goldberg and Michael Ian Black.
